Background

World-Proud Heroes was a comparatively new guild that expanded rapidly through substantial financial backing. Its willingness to spend heavily in Oracle gave it the potential to catch up with veteran guilds despite a smaller historical membership. Its player base had been built across multiple games over several years 44 47.

The guild concentrated its core membership in Jinling City. There, it claimed territorial authority, monopolized grinding areas, and stole bosses, earning widespread resentment among other players 39 44 45.

Its dependence on World-Proud Under Heaven’s personal spending ultimately proved decisive. Most members had been recruited through his money, and his death caused widespread departures rather than a stable leadership transition 212.

World-Proud Under Heaven’s real-world identity was Wang Kai, the son of SH City’s mayor and the chairwoman of the Hongda Group. Wu Shaozhen had also heard that the guild’s headquarters was in SH City 129 207.

Leadership and Members

  • World-Proud Under Heaven / Wang Kai — Guild leader and a highly ranked online-gaming expert. Directs recruitment, combat operations, and retaliation against rivals. His battle intent talent increases his damage during sustained combat, although Dustseal repeatedly killed him before he could build it up. His eventual real-world death precipitated the guild’s collapse 20 39 47 105 207 209 212.
  • World-Proud Lone Peak — The guild’s top Shieldguard and the server’s first player to obtain that class. Assesses enemy strength and reports the effects of defeat on guild morale. Opposed the Jadeglow Secret Realm ambush and later sought reconciliation with Dustseal on the guild’s behalf during the Ranked Challenge 27 33 47 70 182.
  • World-Proud Jueqing — Senior member who analyzes Dustseal’s poison, relays retreat orders, and accounts for battle losses. Continued accompanying the leadership during later raids and confrontations, including the failed Jadeglow ambush and subsequent dungeon encounters 33 46 47 52 53 70 103 141.
  • World-Proud Fang Yu — Officer responsible for intelligence gathering. Identifies local rivals and recommends Su Group and Madmen Gang as targets. Also coordinates reinforcements, reports equipment improvements, and advises against forcing fallen members to return to the costly python raid 47 52 53 54 66 70.
  • Brother Hao / Zihao — Member whose party’s attempt to intimidate Dustseal becomes the guild’s first documented direct clash with him. Reports the encounter to leadership afterward 32 33.
  • Unnamed hall master — Led a roughly fifty-player force against Jun Lin’s team in the Killing Battlefield. Dustseal killed him for 244 points while his subordinates refused to attack and subsequently fled 95 96.

Resources and Operations

Funding and Equipment

  • Bought almost all available currency in its novice village to fund the Silver Wolf King raid, driving the exchange rate to two yuan per copper coin 27.
  • Used potions that increased health by 30%, alongside Instant Recovery Potions, to sustain its frontline against the boss 27.
  • Purchased Dustseal’s anonymously listed Black Bear King Armor for Lone Peak 32 33.
  • Bought back equipment dropped by its leaders after their defeat, paying Dustseal 315,000 yuan through the Auction House 46 47.
  • After losing the Azure-Scaled Giant Python, searched widely for bosses and defeated at least three Bronze bosses during its rebuilding effort. World-Proud Under Heaven distributed usable drops among senior members and spent heavily on Black Iron equipment for the core force 58.
  • Equipped more than 3,000 elite members with full Black Iron sets or better, while more than ten core members obtained full Bronze sets and World-Proud Under Heaven obtained a full Silver set 66 70.
  • World-Proud Under Heaven purchased the Tiger-Headed Man Helmet previously auctioned by Dustseal. It was one of the two Silver pieces he dropped when Dustseal killed him during the Jadeglow ambush 71.
  • Purchased crowd-control skills to prevent Dustseal from escaping or maneuvering freely; most core members had learned such skills by the final Killing Battlefield confrontation 101.
  • Its financial support was closely tied to World-Proud Under Heaven personally. Once he died, most of the members recruited through his spending left 212.

Combat Organization

  • Fielded more than a hundred well-equipped players with coordinated teamwork against the Boar King 20.
  • Assigned at least a thousand supporting players to keep summoned Silver Wolves away from the Silver Wolf King raid’s main battle 27.
  • Could assemble over ten thousand predominantly Archer and Mage players for a concentrated ranged assault 49.
  • Lacked a guild chat channel because it had not formally established an in-game guild. With no group-chat alternative, reports and orders passed through individual leaders’ private messages, delaying responses during Dustseal’s attacks 49.
  • Mobilized 30,000 players to surround the Azure-Scaled Giant Python. The bamboo terrain limited simultaneous attackers to roughly a hundred, preventing the force from fully exploiting its numerical advantage 53.
  • During the python raid, repeatedly replaced dead melee fighters while keeping Priests on the outer perimeter to maximize damage output. Members were ordered to use potions or land additional attacks before dying, producing severe frontline losses 53 54.
  • Later fielded a balanced 3,000-plus elite force capable of penetrating Dustseal’s defense. At the Jadeglow Secret Realm entrance, restricted space meant only a few hundred could attack him at once 70.
  • In the Killing Battlefield, members shared their locations after entering and grouped with nearby guildmates to reduce casualties and travel more quickly 96.
  • World-Proud Under Heaven attempted to coordinate an unaffiliated crowd against Dustseal, but the players’ refusal to obey orders obstructed the guild’s Shieldguards and disrupted their formation 101.

Recruitment and Territorial Control

  • Treated powerful independent players as assets to recruit or threats to eliminate; World-Proud Under Heaven explicitly ordered Dustseal’s destruction if recruitment failed 39.
  • Offered Dustseal a vice guild leader position, then attacked when he refused 45.
  • Enforced a city-gate blockade requiring players to display their IDs, preventing members of Su Group and Madmen Gang from freely leaving to level 48 49.
  • Avoided attacking Cold Moon Pavilion, Turbulent Times, and Storm Across the Sky because their combined membership exceeded its own 47.
  • Claimed exclusive ownership of the Azure-Scaled Giant Python after taking it from unaffiliated players, then threatened anyone entering the Purple Bamboo Grove with repeated killings 51.
  • Its coordinated single-guild structure initially discouraged the three major local guilds from confronting it, despite their greater combined membership. They feared poor coordination and damage to their early development 51.
  • After the fifty-member defeat in Chapter 141, World-Proud Under Heaven instructed members to avoid Dustseal 141.

Major Arcs

Early Boss Raids

World-Proud Heroes defeated the Boar King with more than a hundred players, but its celebration was overshadowed by Dustseal’s server-wide announcement for the first Bronze boss kill. World-Proud Under Heaven ordered the guild to collect its loot and resume leveling 20.

The guild later defeated the Silver Wolf King after an expensive battle lasting over an hour. This opened access to Jinling City. Dreamlight Dance claimed the first Priest advancement before the guild could secure it, but Lone Peak obtained the first Shieldguard reward 27.

Conflict with Dustseal

Brother Hao’s party approached the masked Dustseal, then surrounded and threatened him after he rejected their invitation. Dustseal killed all four with poison that prevented healing. Their report gave the guild an initial estimate of his speed, defense, and poison damage 32 33.

After Dustseal’s first Silver boss kill, World-Proud Under Heaven ordered his recruitment or destruction. The guild eventually confronted him at Jinling City’s south gate. When he refused its offer, several hundred members attacked, only to inflict one damage per ranged hit 39 45.

Dustseal routed the attackers and killed World-Proud Under Heaven alongside four senior members. The subsequent tally recorded 236 deaths, each costing a level. Videos spread across the forums, damaging the guild’s reputation and morale; its leader responded with a region-wide declaration of war 46 47.

Retaliation Against Smaller Guilds

Unable to immediately defeat Dustseal, leadership targeted Su Group and Madmen Gang to restore its standing. Fighting continued from afternoon until night, driving thousands of their members back to Novice Village and forcing survivors to shelter inside Jinling City 47.

World-Proud Heroes then guarded every city gate. Su Muxue commissioned Dustseal to intervene for 500,000 yuan, seeking time for Su Group to develop without further harassment 48.

City-Gate Rout and Withdrawal

Dustseal attacked the south-gate guards, killing half and sending the rest into the city, then struck the east gate. World-Proud Under Heaven assembled over ten thousand ranged fighters at the north gate to stop him 49.

A Damage Immunity Scroll allowed Dustseal to cross their firing zone and enter the formation. Orders to scatter arrived too late, and the force retreated into the city after several hundred members lost a level. The rout prompted widespread online mockery 49.

Su Muxue subsequently confirmed that World-Proud Heroes had withdrawn and stopped targeting her group 50.

Purple Bamboo Grove and the Azure-Scaled Giant Python

World-Proud Heroes took a Silver boss from unaffiliated players in the Purple Bamboo Grove and blocked access to the area. World-Proud Under Heaven insisted on killing it despite the guild’s inability to penetrate its defense effectively, hoping that Silver equipment would allow it to challenge Dustseal 51.

When Dustseal arrived, a guard’s attack inflicted only one damage, revealing his identity. World-Proud Under Heaven left two hundred players attacking the python and gathered the others to stop him. The boss still had 85% health, and the guild had already lost over a thousand players. Reinforcements increased the blocking force to four or five thousand, but Dustseal’s advance inspired unaffiliated players and the three major local guilds to join him, breaking the defensive line before the main force arrived 52.

Dustseal then stood aside to observe. World-Proud Heroes eventually assembled 30,000 players, sealed off the boss, and continued a costly attrition strategy. Restricted space and the removal of Priests from the frontline caused mounting casualties. After more than an hour, the python had fallen to 15% health, but more than ten thousand Warriors and Shieldguards had died, leaving the guild without its melee frontline 53 54.

Cold Moon Pavilion, Turbulent Times, and Storm Across the Sky agreed to support one another against World-Proud Heroes and attacked. Although the two sides had roughly comparable numbers remaining, the three guilds retained a complete class lineup and gained the advantage over World-Proud Heroes’ depleted force 54.

Dustseal took the boss during the fighting. Once World-Proud Under Heaven learned it had been stolen, he ordered a retreat and threatened to settle the score with the three guilds. The losses gave those rivals time to strengthen themselves. He subsequently claimed the auctioned Azure-Scaled Armor as rightfully his, though the account does not identify the eventual buyer 55.

Rebuilding and the Jadeglow Secret Realm Ambush

Following the python defeat, World-Proud Under Heaven ordered widespread boss searches and invested heavily in equipment. By the third Bronze boss of this rebuilding effort, he wore one Silver piece and five Bronze pieces. The guild later reported more than three thousand members with attack above one thousand 58 66.

After two days of recuperation and development, more than three thousand elite members surrounded the Jadeglow Secret Realm entrance to ambush Dustseal when he emerged. Every participant wore full Black Iron equipment or better, more than ten core members wore full Bronze sets, and World-Proud Under Heaven wore full Silver equipment 70.

The improved attackers could now penetrate Dustseal’s defense, but the confined terrain restricted their firing positions. Dustseal used his defensive and movement abilities to evade the encirclement, appeared behind World-Proud Under Heaven, and killed him with Crushing Blow and Weak Point Break. He collected two dropped Silver pieces and escaped with a scroll 70 71.

World-Proud Lone Peak had opposed the ambush, but the leader had refused to listen. After the failure, World-Proud Fang Yu relayed orders to withdraw. World-Proud Under Heaven acknowledged that his force could damage Dustseal but had once again underestimated his hidden abilities 70.

Killing Battlefield

During the Killing Battlefield event, a fifty-player World-Proud Heroes group attacked Jun Lin’s team while it fought a Silver Grade Bloodthirsty Beast. When Dustseal arrived, the hall master initially threatened him, then recoiled after a subordinate identified him. The remaining members refused orders to attack; Dustseal killed the hall master for 244 points and allowed the others to flee because they had not attacked him 95 96.

Near the event’s end, World-Proud Under Heaven tried to organize a large crowd against Dustseal. The other players refused to coordinate, and the congestion prevented the guild’s crowd-control Shieldguards from reaching their target. He then used a Hell Cage scroll, but Dustseal’s Netherworld Pearl absorbed its damage 101.

Despite the core members’ newly acquired crowd-control skills, Dustseal killed World-Proud Under Heaven with Shadow Sevenfold Strike. The leader had previously held enough points for a top-ten placement and at least a Gold Treasure Chest; the death reduced his eventual reward to a Bronze Treasure Chest 101 103.

Renewed Defeats and Real-World Retaliation

After the event, Dustseal encountered World-Proud Under Heaven and nine companions outside a dungeon. He killed the entire party and collected drops including one Gold, seven Silver, and five Bronze pieces. These items, together with his replaced Soul-Devouring Dagger, sold for 1.68 million yuan. World-Proud Under Heaven logged out from the respawn point afterward 103.

World-Proud Under Heaven escalated the feud beyond the game. As Young Master Wang, he paid five million to investigate Dustseal’s real-world identity. After learning that Dustseal was Wu Shaozhen, he arranged for men to abduct him in SZ City without leaving traces. The attempt was thwarted by Zi You 103 128 129.

World-Proud Heroes subsequently maintained a low profile under its leader’s instructions, but Dustseal continued retaliating. In Chapter 141, he used Eightfold Unity to kill all fifty members of a group that included World-Proud Under Heaven. The leader then instructed the guild to avoid Dustseal while investigating why the men he had sent had disappeared 141.

When Su Group later sought World-Proud Under Heaven’s assistance against Dustseal, he rejected its offer 125.

Failed Reconciliation and Ranked Challenge

World-Proud Lone Peak faced Dustseal during the Ranked Challenge and asked whether the guild could reconcile, explaining that its members no longer wanted to be his enemies. Dustseal refused. World-Proud Under Heaven’s real-world attack had removed the possibility of negotiation, and Lone Peak conceded the match 182.

World-Proud Under Heaven also suffered a public defeat against a pudgy Shieldguard who killed him with a single shield strike after taking one slash. Dustseal’s analysis suggested that the opponent possessed a Blood for Blood-type talent that exchanged his own health for an equivalent loss in the target’s health; this remained an inference rather than a confirmed identification 183.

Leader’s Death and Guild Collapse

Once his in-game strength carried into reality, Wu Shaozhen investigated World-Proud Under Heaven and confirmed his identity as Wang Kai. He regarded the earlier abduction attempt as a real-world threat that could no longer be settled solely through gameplay 207.

World-Proud Under Heaven’s death was confirmed by Chapter 209. Dustseal anticipated that the guild would fall into disarray and identified the situation as an opportunity for Cold Moon Pavilion to establish itself in Jinling City 209.

By Chapter 212, World-Proud Heroes had rapidly descended into chaos. Most members, whose recruitment had depended on the leader’s money, had left, and the guild existed in name only. Its collapse opened Jinling City to renewed competition among local powers. The alliance of Cold Moon Pavilion, Turbulent Times, and Storm Across the Sky dissolved as each sought to become the city’s leading guild 212.

Relationships

  • Dustseal / Wu Shaozhen — Recruitment target turned principal enemy. Twice defeated the guild’s forces and killed its leadership during their first large confrontation. Later took the Azure-Scaled Giant Python, survived the Jadeglow ambush, and repeatedly defeated its members during and after the Killing Battlefield. The leader’s attempt to attack him in reality made reconciliation unacceptable to Dustseal 39 45 46 49 55 70 101 103 128 129 141 182.
  • Su Group — Rival targeted to rebuild the guild’s reputation; its blockade ended after Dustseal’s paid intervention. When Su Group later became Dustseal’s enemy and requested World-Proud Under Heaven’s help, he refused 47 48 50 125.
  • Madmen Gang — Rival singled out partly because its members mocked World-Proud Heroes after the defeat by Dustseal 47.
  • Cold Moon Pavilion, Turbulent Times, and Storm Across the Sky — Local powers leadership judged too risky to attack at that stage. Later broke the Purple Bamboo Grove blockade alongside Dustseal and formed a mutual-support alliance before attacking the guild’s depleted python-raid force. Their strategic partnership ended after World-Proud Heroes collapsed, when they began competing for supremacy in Jinling City 47 52 54 55 212.
  • Xue’er / Su Muxue — Powerful Mage whom Fang Yu reported as having defeated guild members who harassed her. World-Proud Under Heaven expressed interest in recruiting her 47.
  • Jun Lin’s team — Attacked by a World-Proud Heroes detachment during its Silver Grade Bloodthirsty Beast battle in the Killing Battlefield; Dustseal’s arrival ended the confrontation 95 96.
  • Unaffiliated players in Jinling City — Frequently intimidated through monopolized leveling areas, boss seizures, and access restrictions. Their resentment helped turn Dustseal’s challenge at the Purple Bamboo Grove into a mass breach of the guild’s defensive line 45 51 52.
