Background / History

Serpent origins and Ye Fei’s acknowledgment

Long Heng was born a sea serpent. Members of the Serpent Clan hurt and hunted him from early in his life; after he became a jiaolong, his former kin wanted him dead. He nevertheless regarded racial evolution as a legitimate choice rather than a betrayal 339 386.

While living on a deserted island, he asked Ye Fei for a human name. Ye Fei chose Long Heng, explaining its meaning as eternity or enduring existence. That acknowledgment opened an additional human cultivation path, although Long Heng’s immediate priority remained stabilizing his mutation and cultivating a dragon soul 158.

Feng An had already used divine-authority privileges earned through quests to locate the unnamed Long Heng. He preferred Long Heng to remain a serpent, partly because dragons were frequently targeted for valuable body materials 662.

Long-distance friendship

Long Heng became one of Ye Fei’s sources of information about pet evolution, spirit pearls, demonic qi, and breakthrough preparations. Their exchanges also involved ingredients, prepared meals, and complaints about Feng An’s tricks 187 232 240 254.

He helped dismantle and sell a captured Demon Puppet Flute, returning 1,160,000 Survival Points and its unsold main body to Ye Fei. Recognizing that the surviving original owner might be buying back its components, he insisted that Ye Fei erase the flute’s remaining traces before selling it 213.

During his Disaster Phase, sea monsters repeatedly swarmed his island. Although most were easy for him to kill, processing every carcass exhausted him while his soul remained unstable. He sent Ye Fei a large haul of seafood, then avoided admitting that he had never thought to buy processing tools 267.

Death, reconstruction, and inheritance

Long Heng died taking Heavenly Punishment after being drawn into Ye Fei’s danger. He understood the event as repayment of a debt, but resented Feng An’s decision to reconstruct him inside an egg—especially when he discovered that he had become a hatchling 316 450.

After hatching, he depended on Ye Fei for food, transport, clothing, and protection while his shattered scales and True Dragon Body recovered. He rebuilt a small yard and house nearby, but increasingly sought comfort in Ye Fei’s arms 318 320 356.

Feng An subsequently bound a Serpent Scale inheritance over his heart. Although Long Heng initially protested the lack of consent, he refused to return it once Ye Fei confirmed that removal was possible. Accepting it established a real inheritance relationship behind Feng An’s repeated claims to be his father 370.

Divine Dragon and household member

Ye Fei combined the completion of Long Heng’s Immortal Artifact Set with his evolution into a Divine Dragon. The result was powerful but frustrating for Long Heng: he hatched prematurely, retained a baby’s human appearance, and disliked his incompletely developed dragon body 472 474 477 478.

His attachment to Ye Fei’s household became permanent. Ye Fei had initially refused to turn the delivered Dragon Egg into a pet and cared for him without such a bond; Long Heng later entered a one-sided Divine Contract and openly identified Ye Fei and his home as his family 642 662 706.

As the Wind God succession advanced, Feng An planned further quests so Long Heng could obtain privileges needed to stabilize his divine position. Long Heng also began interfering with other gods’ schemes, particularly those surrounding the Dragon Crown Prince and the collection of faith 662 679 680 704.

Appearance

  • Early humanoid form: A silver-haired youth with newly grown, fragile dragon scales beside his eyes 158.
  • Jiaolong form: A silver jiaolong; thunder-tribulation training leaves his body covered in cracks 232.
  • True Dragon hatchling: A humanoid baby smaller than a one-year-old, with shoulder-length silver hair, emerging horns, and shattered scales covering his body 318.
  • Newly hatched Divine Dragon: His human form looks entirely human, with hair arranged in two buns. His dragon form is initially soft, scaleless, and four-clawed because he hatched before fully developing 476 477 478.
  • Later child form: Appears about five or six years old, with long silver hair tied into a high ponytail using a red headband. Wears a long silver tunic and trousers 664 689.
  • Recovered scales: Later dragon appearances feature gleaming silver scales with high defensive strength 700.

Personality

Long Heng is proud, sharp-tongued, and easily provoked by jokes about his size or age. He wants imposing armor and handsome weapons, making his cute appearance and ring-shaped equipment a recurring source of frustration. He struggles to express gratitude face-to-face even when he genuinely appreciates Ye Fei’s care 320 476 477.

His childish behavior is partly deliberate. He wants to make up for the childhood he never experienced, freely seeking affection and comfort despite being centuries old. The rejection of his former kin remains painful enough that he cries while clinging to Ye Fei 339 443 533.

Beneath the teasing, he is protective. He repeatedly warns Ye Fei about Feng An’s schemes, worries when their usual banter seems to conceal real distress, and privately asks the Thunder God to look after Lin Mu 232 254 700.

Long Heng rejects unquestioning racial loyalty. He considers Ye Fei’s home his family rather than placing the Dragon Race first, and he objects to gods concealing the Dragon Crown Prince’s identity and directing his life without his knowledge 679 680 681 706.

Abilities & Skills

Dragon Physiology and Transformation

  • Changes between dragon and humanoid forms; while recovering as a True Dragon hatchling, he is too weak to resume an ordinary adult human appearance 320.
  • Gains strength through racial evolution, dragon-soul cultivation, food, and sleep 232 269 554 557.
  • His human cultivation connection initially prevents him from awakening True Dragon Qi, despite offering faster cultivation than Serpent Clan or Dragon Race methods 468.
  • Divine Dragon maturation is exceptionally slow: the first hundred years count as newly hatched youth, adolescence begins after a thousand years, and the Adult Trial becomes available after ten thousand 477.

Wind God Inheritance and Talent

  • Inherits Feng An’s Wind God bloodline and divine position through the Nine-Colored inheritance 370 445.
  • His Wind God Talent reveals hidden information, including secrets surrounding the Dragon Crown Prince that even the Dragon King does not know 679.
  • Awakens wind-based movement that lets him escape Feimeng despite Feimeng’s slightly higher displayed Combat Power 690.
  • Trains to control the wind element under Feng An. His elemental background also includes an original water affinity and later lightning-associated Dragon Race development 552 578 689.

Thunder-Tribulation Tempering

  • Uses lightning strikes to temper himself and develop his dragon soul, accepting severe injury and exhaustion in exchange for growth 232.
  • Later proposes using a tribulation to purify abnormal emotions. Biting Ye Fei hard enough to break his skin triggers violent lightning energy and gathering tribulation clouds 593.

Artifact Dismantling and Cultivation Knowledge

  • Easily dismantles the Demon Puppet Flute, identifies its surviving connection to its owner, and recognizes the need to erase ownership traces before resale 213.
  • Explains spirit-pet body tempering, breakthrough preparations, bloodline advancement, and the risks of living-sacrifice artifact spirits 187 214 240.
  • His expertise is limited: he explicitly says he does not understand artifact refining or pill refining, cannot cook, and dislikes bargaining 321.

Divine Contract

  • Holds a one-sided Life Contract with Ye Fei: his life and divine soul belong to Ye Fei, who could make him a Divine Pet if he wished 642.
  • Describes his actual role as Ye Fei’s guardian, not merely a guest supported by the household 706.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Nine-Colored Wind God Inheritance — A Serpent Scale bound over his heart. Identified as a true Wind Element god’s inheritance, with dismantling, fusion, and refining all possible 370.

    • Provides the stated 500% stat bonus associated with his initial 5,000 displayed Combat Power 477.
    • Weapons manifest as rings rather than the imposing weapons he requested 476.
    • Its defenses withstand Lu Heng’s Five Elements Reversal without being breached; ordinary god-level beings are also described as unable to break through them 556.

  • Feng An / Wind God — Mentor, inheritance predecessor, and father through a relationship added afterward rather than an original biological connection. Their constant insults coexist with genuine affection and Feng An’s sustained efforts to protect and train him 370 415 416 662 681.
  • Lingyan — Examines his unusual development, recognizes that he has followed several cultivation paths, and helps look after him 415 416 591.
  • Lin Mu — Playmate and teasing “uncle” figure. Long Heng secretly arranges extra protection for him despite frequently mocking him 356 364 700.
  • Lu Heng — Frequent target of retaliation for jokes about Long Heng’s age or behavior. Long Heng has also tested his defenses against Lu Heng’s Five Elements Reversal 534 556 662.
  • Dragon Crown Prince / Little Golden Dragon — Complains of being bullied by Long Heng, who nevertheless feels sorry for his concealed circumstances and tries to draw him out of the gods’ plans 679 680.
  • Lingbo / Water God — Regularly challenges Long Heng’s unruly behavior. His ability to uncover hidden information makes her concerned about his interference with divine arrangements 679 680 681.
  • Thunder God — Co-conspirator in a proposal to return all received faith to believers, undermining gods who profit from collecting it 704.
  • Serpent Clan — His original race and a source of longstanding persecution; his evolution into a jiaolong deepens the hostility 339 386.
