Background / History

Birth and Adoption

Feng Bai’s gravely wounded mother entered Ye Fei’s yard after Qingxue opened a gap in the fence. Before giving birth, the mother accepted Ye Fei as master on the unborn cub’s behalf. The palm-sized cub was born moments later, and the mother died immediately afterward 31.

The mother’s body automatically became a White Tiger Inner Core, a purple-grade hide, and a purple-grade White Tiger Blade. The core was bound exclusively to her offspring and could neither be traded nor used in crafting. Ye Fei fed it to the hungry newborn, beginning Feng Bai’s first evolution 31.

After waking, Feng Bai enthusiastically befriended Qingxue, whose initial jealousy faded under the cub’s persistent cuddling. Ye Fei named the newcomer Feng Bai, and the two pets began eating, playing, and accompanying him together 32.

A later examination revealed that Feng Bai had been born prematurely because of the mother's near-death condition. Her core had compensated for the resulting deficiencies, leaving Feng Bai a common-grade beast pet with a Level 10 bloodline cap 55.

Hunting and the White Crane Incident

Feng Bai and Qingxue soon became regular hunters, bringing back wolves and other prey while Ye Fei worked. They often left their catches barely alive for him to finish off. Together, they also attacked a bison trapped in a pit and dragged it back despite its enormous size relative to their bodies 33 38.

Their hunting nearly ended in disaster when Qingxue insisted on attacking a white crane despite Feng Bai’s warning. Both pets were injured. Feng Bai returned to Ye Fei with a half-empty health bar and bloodstained fur, then led him to the critically wounded Qingxue beside a cliff 40.

Ye Fei administered Blood-Replenishing Pills and brought both pets home. He confined them to bed during recovery and afterward tried to keep their hunting trips closer to him 40 41 42.

Snow Mountain Attacks

During the Snow Mountain Destroyer attack, Ye Fei kept both pets out of combat and defeated the Fox Wolves himself. Feng Bai and Qingxue joined him on the roof afterward, disappointed at having been excluded; he reassured them that their safety came first 46 47.

Later, Ye Fei’s screams during body tempering attracted 35 wild wolves, each with Combat Power between 20 and 30. Feng Bai rushed outside and used Beast King Aura to suppress them. Qingxue joined the fight, and the pair killed the pack while Ye Fei remained unable to respond 49.

After feeding on the wolves and completing their evolutions, both pets’ bloodstained fur became white again. Feng Bai emerged at Level 6 with Combat Power 45 49 50.

Feng Bai continued bringing prey to Ye Fei, including a Snow Wolf that yielded a Beast Essence Stone. Following another wolf hunt, the cub entered evolution in Ye Fei’s jacket pocket and was recorded at Level 8 with Combat Power 60 53 58.

King-Level Evolution and Household Hunting

After reaching Level 10 and the common-grade bloodline limit, Feng Bai received a Tiger King Inner Core from Ye Fei. The cub curled around it and fell asleep beside Qingxue while the evolution began. Later panels confirmed the transition to a King-level White Tiger Cub 64 80.

Qingxue and Feng Bai began allocating Beast Essence Stones according to which pet could advance immediately rather than always splitting them evenly. On one occasion, Qingxue let Feng Bai eat ten stones first because the tiger would be the stronger fighter after advancing. During a subsequent Snow Wolf night raid, the pair herded the pack into Ye Fei’s fences and killed the trapped wolves; Feng Bai then ate all fifteen stones to grow stronger and better protect Ye Fei and Qingxue 70 79.

Their hunting expanded to wild bison, Snow Wolves, Snow Foxes, and a Snow Leopard. Feng Bai also led Ye Fei to Qingxue after she found a basketball-sized Pet Egg in the ice, and Ye Fei brought the egg home to hatch 80.

During a Lion Pack attack, Feng Bai killed a lioness under the combined effects of Beast King Aura and Phantom Spirit’s Spirit-level Intimidation. Feng Bai and Qingxue subsequently pretended to be weak to draw the remaining lions closer. Later, Feng Bai participated in another coordinated wolf ambush involving traps and illusions, marking circles in the snow while remaining near Ye Fei 94 113.

Blizzard Rescue and Mother's Protection

During a blizzard, Ye Fei caught hold of a black bear being blown past the courtyard and asked Qingxue to pull him inside. Feng Bai joined her by tackling Ye Fei in the chest. The combined force brought both Ye Fei and the bear into the yard, but Feng Bai’s impact severely injured his ribs and caused him to cough up blood 116.

Ye Fei defended Feng Bai’s intervention, explaining that otherwise the blizzard would have taken his arm and the bear. Feng Bai and Qingxue dragged him to bed and stayed beside him. Even after his recovery, Feng Bai remained worried about having hurt him, prompting further reassurance from Ye Fei 116 117 118.

Ye Fei later used the purple-grade hide left by Feng Bai’s mother to customize a beginner Pet Item Storage Space for the cub. The fusion unexpectedly awakened Mother's Protection, a permanent recovery bonus originating from the mother’s will. Ye Fei explained the storage function through Qingxue, allowing Feng Bai to bring back small prey, Supply Crates, and other finds without waiting for him to arrive 147.

The storage space encouraged frequent hunting trips near home. Feng Bai later returned with a purple-quality Supply Crate and used the space to transport beast corpses during hunts 154 182 195.

Spirit-Level Bloodline Enhancement

By the time Feng Bai reached Level 10 at King-level, Combat Power had risen to 136, but another bloodline limit prevented further leveling. Ye Fei recognized that advancing both Feng Bai and Qingxue would require substantial resources 199.

Before that advancement, Feng Bai again acted as a messenger during an emergency, fetching Ye Fei when Qingxue and Phantom Spirit had been away for too long. The cub led him to a cliff where the pair were trapped by a Red-Winged Flying Ant Half-Demon, which Ye Fei killed with a Phoenix Bird Mimicry Arrow 212.

Mutated-meat dishes later triggered bloodline strengthening in Feng Bai, Qingxue, and Eclipse Moon. Ye Fei comforted the pets and slept beside them during their recovery. All three succeeded; Feng Bai became a Level 1 Spirit-level White Tiger with a wind attribute, loyalty 100, and recognition 100 256.

At Ye Fei’s request, Feng Bai revealed a towering silver-white form outside the house. Ye Fei admired and petted the enormous tiger, dispelling the pets’ concern that he would dislike their larger appearances. Feng Bai then returned to cub form, preferring the size that allowed close cuddling, while Ye Fei asked the pets to remain small at home 257.

Feng Bai subsequently used the large form to carry Ye Fei on outings, compensating for his slower travel speed. Continued cultivation developed the Windstep ability and raised Feng Bai to Level 2 and then Level 4 at Spirit-level 270 300 321 395 483.

Later Encounters and Immortal Advancement

A tiger pack near Ye Fei’s hunting area once tried to take Feng Bai back with it. The matter was left unresolved amid the household’s other activities and repeated tiger hunts. Ye Fei recalled the incident when another tiger pack surrounded him while Feng Bai nestled in his arms; its lead tiger approached without immediately attacking 461.

By the later Immortal-grade advancement, Feng Bai was listed as an Immortal Pet with Combat Power 131,000. The attribute panel retained loyalty and recognition at 100 and displayed Wind Element as the sole listed ability 688.

Appearance

Feng Bai is a tiny white tiger cub resembling a newborn kitten after the first evolution 32.

  • Birth size: Small enough to fit in Ye Fei’s palm, with eyes still closed 31.
  • Fur: Short and white after awakening from the inner-core evolution 32.
  • Eyes: Large, round feline eyes, frequently used in pleading expressions 33 42.
  • Build: Small enough to ride on Ye Fei’s shoulders or sleep in his pockets 32 50.
  • Spirit-level large form: Stands over three meters tall, with silver-white fur, several ink-black markings, and a head that remains notably round despite its increased size 257.
  • Size changes: Can return from the enormous tiger form to a kitten-sized cub that fits in Ye Fei’s hands 257.

Personality

Feng Bai is affectionate, playful, and unreserved around companions. When Qingxue swatted the newly awakened cub, Feng Bai interpreted it as an invitation to play, hugged her foreleg, and nuzzled her until she stopped wanting to fight. The cub subsequently copied her eating habits, hunting displays, and affectionate greetings to Ye Fei 32 33.

Despite this innocence, Feng Bai sometimes shows better judgment than Qingxue. The cub warned her against attacking the white crane and recognized that Ye Fei should not be disturbed during body tempering. Feng Bai also acts decisively in emergencies, fetching Ye Fei after the crane fight and charging out to confront the attacking wolves 37 40 49.

This protective instinct extends to everyday hazards: Feng Bai stood between Qingxue and the Phoenix Tree when she approached it too curiously. The cub explicitly resolves to protect Ye Fei in return for the care received since birth, as well as to protect Qingxue and bring home more prey 75 77 79.

Feng Bai generally follows Qingxue’s directions readily, including her hunting plans and instructions about food. Scolding rarely dampens the cub’s enthusiasm for long; when Qingxue insists that hunting is more useful than playing, Feng Bai excitedly sets off after first greeting Ye Fei 73 75 79.

The cub can feel helpless or guilty when unable to assist Ye Fei. Feng Bai becomes dejected after failing to explain a plan through gestures and remains distressed after accidentally injuring him during the blizzard rescue. Together with Qingxue, Feng Bai treats earning money through hunting as a practical way to support Ye Fei when his cultivation problems are beyond their understanding 100 110 113 118.

Feng Bai retains a mischievous side, including catching bees when bored and later pushing Eclipse Moon into the Pond before returning to sleep 105 412.

Abilities & Skills

Beast King Aura

A listed trait from Level 2 onward, first shown in use against the wolf pack 32 49.

  • Suppresses enemies’ abilities; nearby wolves tremble on all four legs 49.
  • Does not automatically make enemies flee: the pack continues attacking with two leaders present 49.
  • Partially suppresses beasts below King-level. During the lion attack, this works alongside Phantom Spirit’s Spirit-level Intimidation to give Feng Bai a decisive advantage 94.
  • After Spirit-level bloodline enhancement, Feng Bai’s panel lists Spirit-level Intimidation rather than Beast King Aura 256.

Sharp Claws, Sharp Teeth, and Speed

Feng Bai’s pet panel lists both natural weapons and Speed as traits 32.

  • Uses claws and teeth alongside Qingxue to dispatch attacking wolves 49.
  • Captures prey much larger than the cub and drags it through the snow 33 38.
  • Works with Qingxue to exploit trapped prey, including the bison found in a pit 38.
  • Uses a small body and rapid movement to weave through a Snow Wolf Pack, delivering precise lethal claw strikes 79.
  • King-level panels list Speed and Burst Power; Spirit-level panels list Extreme Speed and Burst 80 256.

Inherited Memories

Feng Bai possesses fragmentary knowledge inherited from previous generations 37.

  • Recognizes Ye Fei’s body tempering as resembling a tribulation and knows he must not be touched carelessly 37.
  • Pulls Qingxue away to prevent interference, but does not know how to relieve his suffering 37.
  • Later explains to Qingxue that cultivation and tribulations can make their human stronger 44.
  • The knowledge remains general rather than technical: Feng Bai has no inherited explanation of cultivation with spiritual energy and cannot understand why Ye Fei appears to undergo painful tribulations so frequently 81 100.

Communication

Feng Bai can communicate with Qingxue despite their different species 32.

  • Ye Fei cannot understand their exchanges directly 32 39.
  • Uses movement to convey urgent needs, notably leading Ye Fei to injured Qingxue 40.
  • Responds to some simple meanings conveyed through Ye Fei’s gestures 45.
  • Unlike Qingxue, Feng Bai does not initially understand Ye Fei’s spoken language and often relies on her translations. The cub nevertheless recognizes the names “Feng Bai” and “Qingxue” 67 80 90 98.
  • Attempts more complex communication through drawn circles, pawing, and pointing, though Ye Fei struggles to interpret the intended meaning 113.
  • Continues using physical signals to fetch Ye Fei during the flying-ant emergency 212.

Bloodline and Energy Absorption

Feng Bai’s common-grade hidden attributes identify the cub as an enhancement-type pet 55.

  • Absorbs 100% of the energy from tiger-produced Beast Essence Stones and 90% from stones produced by other species 55.
  • Initially has a common-grade Level 10 bloodline cap; a Tiger King Inner Core enables advancement to King-level 55 64 80.
  • Reaches another Level 10 cap at King-level, requiring further bloodline strengthening 199.
  • Successfully undergoes Spirit-level bloodline enhancement after eating mutated-meat dishes 256.
  • Energy from food and Beast Essence Stones can remain accumulated after leveling and contribute to subsequent growth 121.

Cub Form and Large Form

After becoming Spirit-level, Feng Bai possesses the Cub Form trait and can alternate between a small cub and an enormous tiger 256 257.

  • The large form stands over three meters tall and is too large to move comfortably inside Ye Fei’s room 257.
  • Transformation is accompanied by rising wind and a deeper roar 257.
  • Uses the large form to carry Ye Fei on the back during travel 270 321.
  • Prefers cub form for being held and snuggling with Ye Fei 257.

Wind Element and Windstep

Feng Bai gains a wind attribute upon advancing to Spirit-level, without changing species 256.

  • Windstep first appears as a gray tag under Wind, indicating that Feng Bai has not yet comprehended how to use it 300.
  • By Spirit-level Level 4, the tag is clear, and Feng Bai’s understanding of wind is increasingly practiced and natural 483.
  • At Immortal grade, the panel lists only Wind Element. Ye Fei notes that the actual power and difficulty of mastering this seemingly singular ability cannot be judged from the brief description alone 688.

Mother's Protection and Storage Equipment

Ye Fei fuses the mother’s purple-grade tiger hide with a beginner Pet Item Storage Space, shaping it as a neck warmer for Feng Bai 147.

  • Mother's Protection: A permanent special effect originating from the White Tiger mother’s will; increases recovery effects by 15% 147.
  • Pet Item Storage Space: Allows Feng Bai to carry small prey, Supply Crates, and other finds back home 147.
  • Later uses include transporting beast corpses and bringing home a purple-quality Supply Crate 182 195.
  • After the ant crisis, Ye Fei purchases four Pet Storage Spaces, distributing one to each of his four pets 226.

Relationships

  • Ye Fei — Master and caretaker, chosen by Feng Bai’s mother before the cub’s birth. Provides food, medicine, warmth, and protection; Feng Bai reciprocates with affection and defense of his home 31 32 40 49. Feng Bai later hunts to support his expenses, helps rescue him from a blizzard, and carries him as a mount. Ye Fei reassures the cub after the rescue injuries and accepts both the small and large forms with affection 110 116 118 257 270.
  • Qingxue — Closest companion and hunting partner. Initially regards Feng Bai as a rival for Ye Fei’s attention, but becomes the cub’s playmate and model for everyday behavior 31 32 33. She also translates Ye Fei’s words, directs joint hunts, and coordinates their allocation of Beast Essence Stones. Feng Bai explicitly wants to become stronger to protect her 67 70 79 90.
  • Mother — Dies immediately after giving birth. Secures Ye Fei’s care for the cub and leaves an inner core usable only by her offspring 31. Her core corrects Feng Bai’s premature-birth deficiencies, and her lingering will later manifests as Mother's Protection when Ye Fei fuses her hide with the cub’s storage equipment 55 147.
  • Phantom Spirit — Fellow household companion and hunting partner. Its Spirit-level Intimidation supports Feng Bai against lions, and its illusions feature in the pets’ coordinated wolf ambush. Feng Bai later fetches Ye Fei when Phantom Spirit and Qingxue are trapped outside 94 113 212.
  • Eclipse Moon — Fellow household pet. Feng Bai helps put the puppy to bed and, together with Qingxue, temporarily forgoes Beast Essence Stones to strengthen the weaker companion. Their interactions also include mischief: Feng Bai later pushes Eclipse Moon into the Pond 100 102 412.
  • Long Heng — Fellow companion whose crying irritates Feng Bai. The cub and Qingxue concern themselves with him partly to prevent the noise from interrupting Ye Fei’s activities 335.
  • Tiger packs — A nearby tiger pack once wanted to take Feng Bai back with it. Ye Fei later recalls this when approached by another pack while holding the cub 461.

Trivia

  • Ye Fei chooses the name Feng Bai because it was very windy when the mother arrived 32.
  • Feng Bai’s loyalty is already 100 at the first detailed panel. Ye Fei suspects this is because the mother selected a master on the cub’s behalf 32.
  • Early on, Feng Bai eats roughly twice Qingxue’s portion: two-thirds of a piece of meat compared with her one-third 33.
  • Reluctantly eats cabbage and reacts to a freshly picked cucumber by bristling, refusing a taste, and seeking comfort from Qingxue 44 48.
  • After the King-level evolution, a meal requires approximately fifteen chunks of meat, compared with Qingxue’s three and Ye Fei’s one. This prompts Ye Fei to prepare at least twenty chunks whenever cooking 67.
  • Likes spicy rabbit meat and seeks another taste of Ye Fei’s dumplings, although Qingxue insists that the carnivorous cub should eat meat instead of taking more of their human’s food 75 80.
  • The King-level cubs can play with the household bees without being stung, unlike the then-ordinary Eclipse Moon 121.
  • Despite achieving Immortal grade and Combat Power 131,000, Feng Bai’s latest displayed activity is “Pretending to Sleep” 688.
