Ye Fei defended his home from a nighttime wolf pack attack by using layers of Wooden Fences and arrows, then killed the pack with help from Qingxue. After collecting the rewards and loot, he discovered that Qingxue could eat wolf-type Beast Essence Stones.
Ye Fei sold his collected materials and earned enough Survival Points to buy a Gene Evolution Fluid, hoping it would strengthen him. After drinking it, he entered a strange space where glowing points of light surrounded him, and several began drifting toward him.
Ye Fei chose cultivation as his evolution path, but his new Spirit-Guiding Art left his combat power unchanged and his cultivation uninitiated. He returned to his chores with Qingxue, cleared the snow from his yard, and restored normal growth to his seedlings.
Ye Fei completed his hunting quest, expanded his yard’s greenery, and gathered supplies while preparing for the approaching blizzard. After finding another mysterious sapling, he planted it in his yard and hoped it would grow into a fruit tree.
Ye Fei endured the blizzard, successfully drew spiritual energy into his body, and learned that his junior had also chosen cultivation. After tending to his home the next morning, he found an enormous creature in the yard and wondered where Qingxue had dragged it from.
Ye Fei took in a dying white tiger that Qingxue the Little Fox had let into the yard, only to discover it had accepted him as master on behalf of its unborn cub. After the adult tiger died in childbirth, Ye Fei fed the newborn its inner core, and he ended the chapter staying home to cultivate during the blizzard.
Ye Fei cultivated throughout the day, gaining twenty-five points of spiritual energy, while his pets Qingxue the Little Fox and the newly named Feng Bai grew affectionate with each other. He abandoned his hunting quest as the blizzard continued and ended the day watching the two cubs make a mess of the yard.
After the blizzard eased, Ye Fei raised his homestead temperature and discovered that cultivating in the yard greatly increased his spiritual energy. He began clearing storm debris for random rewards while Qingxue the Little Fox and Feng Bai the little white tiger hunted prey and brought it home.
After a day of hunting, trading, and tending his home, Ye Fei cultivated through the night and reached enough spiritual energy to attempt Qi Refining. His first breakthrough failed, but he received most of the energy back and immediately tried again.
Ye Fei broke through to Qi Refinement First Tier, then shared his cultivation method with a powerful player who had offered a reward for help. After the player successfully sensed spiritual energy and paid the rest, Ye Fei ended the day with 312 Survival Points.
Ye Fei exchanged cultivation advice and information about pill-making with his junior, then resumed cultivating in his yard. He discovered that after reaching the first tier of qi refinement, he absorbed two points of spiritual energy at a time.
Ye Fei endured his first spiritual energy body-tempering session, gaining one point each in spirit and strength while Qingxue the Little Fox and Feng Bai feared for him. After comforting the two little ones, he returned to clearing snow and received a Random Quest to find two plant seedlings.
Ye Fei and his companions found and killed a wild bison, then brought it home for him to butcher. He sold several valuable materials and left the bloody trail outside, hoping it would attract a wolf pack.
Ye Fei trapped and killed five wild wolves, gaining Survival Points, materials, and a beast essence stone that helped Feng Bai evolve to level three. After selling the wolf and bison materials, he reached 728 points and found new cultivation items in the Survival Mall, including a 700-point defensive spell.
Ye Fei completed his quest to find plant seedlings, then rushed to rescue Qingxue and Feng Bai after they attacked a white crane and were badly injured. Bringing them home, he realized the plateau where he lived was the summit of an immense snow mountain surrounded by other peaks.
Ye Fei processed the white crane, sold most of its valuable drops, and planted a cypress sapling before opening a green Supply Crate that contained salt. He advised Junior Schoolmate about the next stages of cultivation and reflected that he preferred staying safely behind while his pets protected him.
Ye Fei cared for Little Fox and Little White Tiger after Little Fox recovered, then searched the trading interface for materials to support his growing vegetables. He built trellises for the tomatoes and cucumbers and planned to make a sturdier structure for the grapevine later.
After a month in the snowy world, Ye Fei heard wolves howling and learned that strange wolf-fox creatures had appeared across Snow Mountain. A region-wide crisis began, and Ye Fei considered using his stockpile of wood to trap and kill the beasts.
Ye Fei and Junior Schoolmate discussed how locusts and dwindling grass could threaten the animals on their respective lands. After a quiet night of cultivation, Ye Fei cooked his first vegetable dish, cabbage and beef meatball soup, and fed it to Little White Tiger and Little Fox.
Ye Fei hunted nearby while feeling that the weather had turned strangely cold, then traded his White Tiger Blade to Snowfield/9109-0009-0158 for a Wind Spirit Repeating Crossbow and its bolt recipe. After crafting a heavy crossbow bolt, Ye Fei prepared to defend his home as the disaster began.
Ye Fei prepared his rooftop defenses as a pack of Snow Mountain Destroyers attacked, trapping them in rings of Wooden Fences and firing at them with his Wind Spirit Repeating Crossbow. He killed one Fox Wolf with a piercing headshot and opened the Random Treasure Chest he earned.
Ye Fei reinforced his fences and killed all the trapped Snow Mountain Destroyers, then opened the remaining treasure chests and obtained several useful items. With a Faucet among his rewards, he considered making bathing possible at home.
Ye Fei crafted a blue-grade Fine Iron Longbow after opening the event treasure chest and absorbing a small energy orb. He discovered the bow required more strength than he currently had, leaving him unable to use it.
Ye Fei endured a painful body-tempering attempt that drew a pack of wolves to his home while Little Fox and Little White Tiger fought them off. He woke from the ordeal to find the two little ones had defeated the pack and fallen asleep after feeding on the wolves.
Ye Fei harvested the wolf carcasses, improved his attributes through body tempering, and earned more than a thousand survival points by selling materials. He spent nearly all of them on a Meditation Cushion and ended the chapter cultivating on it.
