Appearance
The Tianquan Saint is tall and slender, with an elegant bearing 26.
- Clothing: Wears white robes 26.
- Manner: Speaks gently and presents himself as a graceful young gentleman rather than an overbearing holy land heir 23.
- Power display: When releasing his aura, he radiates boundless light and resembles a sun illuminating the starry sky 28.
Personality
The Tianquan Saint is courteous and conscious of the dignity of other powerful factions. He accepts Yan Wushuang’s refusal of his offer to pay for Li Qingyue’s dress without insisting. At his banquet, he promotes friendly introductions while privately recognizing that the heirs are unlikely to cooperate wholeheartedly; his speech is meant to preserve everyone’s dignity, not eliminate their rivalries 23 28.
His attraction to Li Qingyue brings out jealousy, eagerness, and occasional embarrassment. He envies Yan Wushuang and Yang Wuzheng for having her beside them, waits anxiously for her arrival, and repeatedly offers her food. After hearing her promise to repay her companions’ kindness, he recognizes how difficult it would be to rival their place in her affections 24 26 30 36.
Despite his interest in dangerous opportunities, he is capable of caution under pressure. He explains the tomb’s lethal phenomena before proposing entry and leads carefully through the graves. When opportunistic cultivators attack his exhausted party, his pride and determination drive him to stand despite injuries that could worsen or damage his cultivation foundation 43 47 49.
Abilities & Skills

- Emits overwhelming radiance and pressure to deter insolence toward Li Qingyue 28.
- Forces surrounding onlookers to lower their heads rather than meet his gaze 28.
- His divine power can be exhausted by sustained use of a Saint Weapon, leaving him unable to maintain its protection 48.
Flight and Rapid Movement

- Appears before arriving guests almost instantly 27.
- Covers dozens of li in a single step while escaping the grave mounds 48.
Saint Weapon Control
He wields the Tianquan Ruyi, an ancient Saint Weapon that manipulates the void and creates protective radiance 48.
- Uses its defensive formation to shelter the expedition alongside four other weapon wielders 48.
- Helps withstand repeated lethal attacks while crossing hundreds of li of grave mounds 48.
- The protection does not prevent all injury: repeated impacts leave him and the other wielders grievously wounded and depleted 48 49.
Healing Arts
- Absorbs vital essence from source stones while circulating Healing Arts to replenish himself after the escape 49.
- Recovery requires time; the approaching attackers threaten the party before they can restore enough power to defend themselves safely 49.
Reported Ancient Emperor Legacy
- He is rumored to have obtained an ancient emperor’s legacy, with his strength placing him among the finest of his generation in the Eastern Wasteland 26.
- The passages do not identify the legacy or show a named technique belonging to it 26.
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Tianquan Ruyi — An emerald-green, jade-like Saint Weapon radiating golden light. Its bow-curved shape resembles a dragon; an octagonal jewel at its head distorts the void, while a hexagonal jewel at its tail produces a protective six-pointed star formation 48.
- Golden furnace — Produces another spread of roasted meat after Li Qingyue finishes the first meal near the tomb 44.
- Dao Palace Realm Fierce Beast meat — Prepared in advance for the expedition and offered to Li Qingyue to win her favor. Eating the first spread increases her true qi by five percent 44.
- Source stones — Used to restore vital essence after the grave-mound crossing 49.
Relationships
- Li Qingyue — The object of his romantic interest. He offers to pay for her garment, welcomes her personally, publicly protects her, and supplies food. She accepts his hospitality but privately rejects the prospect of marrying him; no reciprocal romance is established 22 26 28 30 44.
- Yan Wushuang — A respected Nine Saints Gate peer and romantic rival. Their courteous exchanges become strained by the Tianquan Saint’s attention to Li Qingyue. The Sacred Body’s reputed immunity to evil is also one reason Tianquan wants him in the tomb expedition 21 23 29 43 44.
- Yang Wuzheng — Recognized as the Nine Saints Gate’s Innate Dao Body. Yang watches his interest in Li Qingyue warily, while Tianquan values the Dao Body’s mysterious abilities for the expedition 21 30 43 44.
- Tianxuan Saintess / Yuping — A familiar associate encountered with him at the Exquisite Pavilion and later an expedition companion. She privately warns Li Qingyue to be careful of him; the reason remains undisclosed 21 42 43.
- Yaoguang Holy Son — A banquet guest and expedition companion who secretly asks Li Qingyue to approach Tianquan and earn his trust. Li Qingyue interprets this as an attempt to obtain information about him 26 42 43.
Story Role / Major Arcs
Exquisite Pavilion Encounter
The Tianquan Saint first appears beside the Tianxuan Saintess at the Exquisite Pavilion in Ancient Source City. He recognizes Yan Wushuang’s Sacred Body and identifies Yang Wuzheng as the Innate Dao Body, drawing the pavilion’s attention to the Nine Saints Gate heirs and their mortal companion, Li Qingyue 21 22.
He encourages the purchase of a treasured garment for Li Qingyue and offers to pay on Yan Wushuang’s behalf. Yan declines and insists on funding his own apology. Tianquan also invites the three to a gathering in three days, intended to introduce the younger generation before exploring the ancient tomb 22 23.
Younger-Generation Banquet
Tianquan waits outside his holy land’s restaurant from early morning. His unusual personal reception causes arriving heirs to assume that a mighty expert is expected, so they remain outside with him. In reality, his thoughts are occupied by Li Qingyue 26.
Once she arrives, he declares her his dear friend and warns everyone against treating her insolently. Inside, he presents the banquet as both an introduction among heirs and an invitation to explore the tomb together. His attention increasingly centers on supplying Li Qingyue with the food she enjoys 27 28 29 30.
Ancient Tomb Expedition
He travels with Li Qingyue, Yan Wushuang, Yang Wuzheng, the Tianxuan Saintess, and the Yaoguang Holy Son. During the journey, private warnings and Yaoguang’s request to gain his trust place Tianquan at the center of an unexplained inquiry 42 43.
At the tomb site, he explains that previous entrants have disappeared and describes the daily passage formed by scarlet mist and divine light. The group postpones entry, and he uses the interval to serve prepared Fierce Beast meat 43 44.
Flying Dragon Ridge and the Divine Mountain
After retreating from the Primordial Ancient Mine’s deadly phenomena, the party follows Tianquan into Flying Dragon Ridge. The supposed blessed site proves to be a destructive small world whose feng shui has been reversed. He leads cautiously through the vitality-draining graves before joining the other heirs in deploying their weapons 45 46 47 48.
Their combined defenses carry all six to the safe ground surrounding the Divine Mountain, but leave the five wielders badly wounded and without sufficient divine power. Tianquan warns them to recover quickly as nearby cultivators eye their Saint Weapons 48 49.
When the crowd attacks, he rises to fight despite coughing blood. Li Qingyue moves ahead to buy the wounded heirs time, eventually confronting a Four Extremes Realm expert; Tianquan joins the others in urgently calling for her retreat 49 50.
