Background / History
Shi Hao belongs to a lineage of the Martial King Manor that suffers increasing suppression from Shi Yi’s faction. After Shi Ziling leaves, ancestral elders continue protecting the remaining members. Shi Yi’s supporters also exercise restraint because Shi Hao’s grandfather, the Great Demon God Shi Zhongtian, has yet to return from seeking precious blood for his grandson 2.
Shi Qingfeng suffers in Shi Hao’s place: the Rain Clan and Martial King Manor keep him under surveillance in the Second Ancestral Land while believing him to be Shi Hao 2.
Shi Hao grows up in Stone Village under Willow Deity’s protection. He later credits the guardian spirit with keeping the settlement safe from Ferocious Beasts. His early journeys include a bloody crossing of a hundred thousand li of the Great Wilderness while still in the Blood Transformation Realm 109.
At Heaven Mending Pavilion, he helps Shi Qingfeng cultivate. The Pavilion’s destruction deeply affects him, forcing him toward greater maturity and strengthening his desire for power. After its fall, both return to Stone Village 77 97.
Appearance
- Childhood features: Chubby cheeks and large, expressive eyes 60 97.
- Physique: Strong arms and vigorous blood energy, displayed prominently during close combat 78 121.
- Later appearance: White-haired and dressed in white when confronting Jin Zhan at Heavenly Deity Academy 218.
- Battle manifestations: Frequently appears with a Kunpeng phantom, lightning, or rune-created wings; these are techniques rather than permanent physical features 70 78 218.
Personality
Shi Hao actively seeks strong opponents and treats defeat as an opportunity to improve. After losing repeatedly to Shi Qingyun, he returns for more spars because the battles benefit his cultivation. Even when clearly outmatched, his immediate ambition is to make Shi Qingyun fight seriously next time 79 110 233.
His confidence extends to threats far beyond his current cultivation. He mocks hostile Venerables, refuses recruitment into the Netherworld, and declares that he does not fear the coming Great Calamity 109 121.
Food and treasure readily capture his attention. He buys seasonings for his travels, drools while imagining future meals, and eagerly enters the Primordial Treasure Realm after hearing about its possible riches 63 151.
Beneath his teasing manner, he is fiercely loyal. The destruction of Heaven Mending Pavilion and the massacre at Ravine-Below City provoke grief and anger. Later, he accepts captivity in the Foreign Realm in Demoness’s place, choosing to protect someone close to Shi Qingyun after receiving his friend’s help so often 97 123 279.
