Arc 19The Bone and the Buried Guardian

Kallen’s group survived the Mipos Archipelago’s aftermath, and Kallen absorbed a bone tied to the Dark Moon Goddess before reaching Fire Island. There, the Light Remnants and pirate groups prepared to unseal a buried guardian as Kallen’s party confronted Abyss Church followers.

  • Kallen escaped the Moon Order fleet’s defeat with his companions, while Neo protected Richard and Elisa from Reincarnation’s slaughter on the island.
  • Kallen encountered the Dark Moon Goddess’s red-clad servant, fought over the bone and its intended hosts, and agreed to help the goddess seek revenge only after she begged him.
  • Kallen absorbed part of the bone and escaped the island with his group after Memphis worked out the Closing Ritual, then reunited with Mr. Eisen and promised to help Philomina face her grandmother.
  • Kallen, Muli, and Philomina freed a pirate ship’s captain and reached Fire Island, where Kallen recognized a Light Remnants gathering and learned about a sealed creature beneath the volcano.
  • Puer and Kevin entered a dream, fought Gilagon the Abyss Sin Three-Headed Hound, and learned that he expected someone to release him.
  • Alfred told Puer and Kevin that the Light Remnants and three pirate groups planned to break the seal, while Taufman arranged the group’s departure from Fire Island.
  • Three black-robed Abyss believers followed Kallen’s group to their inn, where Kallen confronted them and exchanged greetings with their leader.
Chapters 451–475 Vol. 5 Read

Ch. 451Order, awaken!

Kallen witnessed the Moon Order God Church’s fleet repel a Reincarnation ambush and a later boarding raid, while growing suspicious that the victory was not as secure as its commanders believed. Romir then fused the Reincarnation Churches inside and outside the Gate through a brutal sacrifice, accepted Order’s dependence, and revived the dead fleet admirals to fight.

  • The Moon Order God Church’s fleet survived a meteor barrage, outmaneuvered a Reincarnation fleet, and began pursuing it while another force attacked the Wenrose Islands.
  • Mota told Kallen that Reincarnation lacked trained crews for its recently repurchased warships and that the Moon Order God Church expected to take the islands within days.
  • Gelinga celebrated the fleet’s apparent success but ordered heightened vigilance against boarding raids, which Kallen, Yadu, and the crew soon faced.
  • Puer and Kevin detected hundreds of Reincarnation boarders; the fleet killed or captured most of them, while Lango escaped with Peide and a few others.
  • Kallen ordered his companions to prepare an escape route and supplies, suspecting that the enemy’s attack had served another purpose.
  • Romir merged with Sumil, transformed believers into hosts for souls from inside the Gate, and agreed that Reincarnation would depend on Order; Fudeng then ordered the dead fleet admirals revived, and the Order clerics proclaimed, “Order... Awakening!”

Ch. 452True despair!

Romir ordered the awakened commanders of Reincarnation to defend their church, while Fudeng left after making clear that Order had secured its advantage. As Kallen’s group escaped the Moon Order fleet’s ambush inside a sea beast, the battle turned into a devastating attack on the fleet, leaving Kallen overwhelmed by the cannon fire around him.

  • Fudeng’s Awakeners revived Reincarnation’s dead fleet commanders, and Romir ordered them to return to their posts and protect Reincarnation.
  • Kallen’s delegation rejected escape by raft, and Puer proposed taking control of a sea beast; she successfully tamed one beneath the fleet.
  • Kallen’s group prepared to flee as the Moon Order fleet pursued Reincarnation, and a Reincarnation Temple Elder attacked before undead forces appeared in the sky and at sea.
  • Gelinga’s fleet lost its aerial view, was surprised by enemy fleets on both sides, and became trapped in a compact formation by two underwater skeleton giants.
  • The awakened commanders ordered their fleets to attack the Moon Order ships, while Kallen’s group sheltered inside Puer’s sea beast and Kallen guided it underwater.
  • Cannon fire lit and heated the sea around Kallen as he descended with the sea beast, and he felt utterly insignificant and despairing.

Ch. 453Source of Bad Luck

Kallen recovered on an uncharted island after escaping the naval battle, where Mota revealed that the Moon Order God Church’s fleet had been destroyed and Kallen questioned whether the Mipos Archipelago was still under its control. Meanwhile, Neo and Richard saw a fleet approach the Main Island under Reincarnation’s flag, and Neo urged Richard to cut off his Source of Bad Luck.

  • Kallen survived severe burns and woke on an uncharted island, where Philomina told him the group was safe and had been there for less than two days.
  • Kallen learned that Puer’s sea beast was supplying food and that the group was building a shelter on its back for their voyage.
  • Muli rescued Ansi and Mota, who reported that the Moon Order God Church’s fleet had suffered a crushing defeat and its flagship had sunk.
  • Kallen discovered that Mota had tracked them using a Formation Origin Stone given to Mars, then asked what made Mota think the Mipos Archipelago remained under the Moon Order God Church’s control.
  • Neo and Richard recovered in the palace and went to the rear garden, where they noticed a fleet approaching the Main Island.
  • Neo recognized that the approaching fleet flew Reincarnation’s flag and handed Richard a dagger, telling him to cut off his Source of Bad Luck.

Ch. 454The fall

Neo and Richard tried to escape the Reincarnation fleet’s assault on the Mipos Archipelago, but found the island overwhelmed by a Lost Legion whose members slaughtered and consumed people. After investigating the attackers, Neo took baby Elisa Sarao and invited her mother to come with them.

  • Neo carried Richard toward the teleportation hall, but turned away when the guards delayed letting them in and he suspected the Moon Order God Church wanted them left behind.
  • Neo searched the wealthy district for a private Teleportation Magic Formation, found none, and decided he and Richard should gather supplies and hide until Reincarnation sent normal people onto the island.
  • Neo saw Reincarnation soldiers slaughtering civilians and concluded that they were a Lost Legion, then tested two attackers and discovered that they had emerged from the Gate of Reincarnation with decaying souls.
  • After a Reincarnation cleric asked Neo to kill him, Neo burned him away and learned that continued slaughter and consumption could turn the clerics into otherworldly demons.
  • Neo took baby Elisa Sarao from her desperate mother and told her to come along, explaining that he had another child, a baby boy, with him.

Ch. 455Annihilation

Neo and Richard hid in a cellar with a woman and her baby, while the Reincarnation Church’s commanders confronted Lango over the massacre on the island. The two commanders burned themselves alive, leaving Lango to question their faith as well as his own.

  • Richard followed the commander’s marks to a house, brought supplies into its cellar, and helped Neo activate a Concealment Magic Formation.
  • Richard discovered the woman and her baby, Elisa, in the wine cellar and learned Neo had brought them there; he and Neo discussed what would happen to them after the fighting.
  • Neo gave Richard Psychedelic Drug, and Richard rambled about Elisa growing up to fall in love with Neo until Neo knocked him unconscious against a pillar.
  • Lango told the two awakened commanders that the church would use the island’s evolving possessed people as a new legion, despite the Landing Force’s massacre of civilians.
  • The White-Haired Elder and the Middle-Aged Man condemned Lango’s actions and the church’s betrayal of the God of Reincarnation, then set themselves on fire.
  • After the commanders died, Lango suggested that they, rather than he, might have been the ones who did not truly believe in God.

Ch. 456Fishing?

Kallen’s group continued their voyage, passing the time with fishing and Werewolf while waiting to reach land. On the Mipos Archipelago, Neo investigated the Reincarnation Church’s slaughter and sensed a Light aura that Lango and the spirit inside him were using as bait; a bloodied face appeared behind them at the end.

  • Kallen left the Werewolf game after his ability to read the other players spoiled it, and Puer took his place.
  • Kallen learned that the group expected to reach another island the next day, then picked up his fishing rod as Puer returned to the game.
  • Neo left the cellar after sensing a powerful summons and found the island darkened by bloodshed, with Reincarnation forces gathering Lost Ones.
  • Neo sensed Light purifying the island’s resentment from the Palace and was drawn to the rich Light aura.
  • Lango and the Light spirit discussed using the aura to lure Neo, whom the spirit wanted to possess, before a skinless bloody face appeared behind them.

Ch. 457Neo smiled

Neo and Lango fought across physical and mental traps as Lango tried to capture Neo’s body for the Light Remnant Lei’an. After Neo escaped the Gate of Reincarnation, Lango pierced his chest, but Neo smiled, leaving the outcome uncertain.

  • Neo and Lango exchanged attacks, each destroying the other’s Doppelganger Puppet, then argued over whether Neo would surrender his body.
  • Lango pressed Neo with twin scimitars, lightning, and an azure lion, while Neo defended, feinted, and detonated his Sword of Light to drive Lango back.
  • Lango opened the Gate of Reincarnation and used a mental spell art against Neo while discussing with Lei’an his plan to claim Neo’s body without undoing his seal.
  • Neo followed the God of Light’s path through the gate, ignored illusions of friends and loved ones, and altered the path and exit through his will.
  • Neo predicted Lango’s ambush and stepped through the exit; Lango collapsed the doorway and pierced Neo’s Light Barrier, then drove his scimitar through Neo’s chest.
  • Lango smiled at the apparent victory, but Neo smiled too.

Ch. 458Let You Admire True Light!

Neo fought Lango, who tried to claim Neo’s body for Lei'an, while Memphis and Kallen discussed the danger facing Richard. Lei'an gave his light spirit to Neo instead, betraying Lango and promising to show him true light.

  • Neo’s attack wounded Lango, but Lango released a layer of his seal and struck Neo with a curse.
  • Neo healed by shedding polluted flesh, then Lango summoned a powerful phantom and trapped him in a cage of doors.
  • Lango’s phantom seized Neo, and Lei'an emerged from Lango to pour his light spirit into Neo’s body.
  • Puer’s werewolf team won a round of the game, while Memphis told Kallen he trusted Neo to protect Richard.
  • Lei'an revealed that he had designated his light spirit as a gift to Neo and that his death would break Lango’s final seal.
  • Lei'an explained that he betrayed Lango because the Reincarnation Church’s actions had made its promised rebirth false, then vowed to show Lango true light.

Ch. 459Because it is light

Lei'an gave his Light Spirit to Neo and shared his memories and beliefs about the light before his consciousness began to fade. After Lango withdrew from the island, Neo offered Lei'an a place in his soul and revealed that he was an Order Cleric, leaving Lei'an to accept that light could shine beyond allegiances.

  • Neo entered Lei'an's memories, where Lei'an recalled discovering the light and urged people to pursue happiness and bring it to others.
  • Lei'an's Light Spirit entered Neo, while Lei'an and Lango argued over the Church of Light's decline and their choices; Lango left rather than continue fighting.
  • Neo carried Lei'an's fading consciousness up the mountain and offered him a place in his soul, but Lei'an refused because they did not know each other well.
  • Neo confessed that his faith was in Order and that he was an Order Cleric, and Lei'an laughed and said light should pierce every barrier and shine everywhere.

Ch. 460My turn

Neo returned to the cellar hideout with medicine and supplies, but the Power of Light in his body neutralized the toxin he hoped would cause hallucinations. He spoke with the old face about its tragic past and their shared ambitions, then Puer spotted land ahead as the group approached shore.

  • Neo searched an ordinary pharmacy for prohibited medicine, collected supplies and a stuffed puppy, and purified the items with Order Purification.
  • Neo injected himself with a mental toxin from local fish, but the Power of Light in his body destroyed it before he could hallucinate.
  • Neo and the old face discussed the Primordial Ancestor’s past romance with a Light Knight, her faith-driven betrayal, his imprisonment, and his escape during the Holy Grail Upheaval.
  • The old face praised Neo’s ability to absorb what entered his body and admitted that Neo was the only descendant who could speak with him and remain sane; Neo put Little Elisa to sleep when she reached for him.
  • Puer spotted land from Kallen’s shoulder and celebrated that they were finally reaching shore.

Ch. 461The offering

Kallen and his companions explored an abandoned island site, then rested on its shore while he read about a protagonist who escaped a murderous moon-worshipping community. Mota’s praise of the Moon God awakened a woman in red beneath the well, and she approached Kallen under a blood-red moon to thank him for the offerings he had brought.

  • Muli, Philomina, and Bart reported an unusual pit in the island’s woods, and Kallen led the group there to investigate.
  • Kallen and the others found humanoid sculptures and a clear-water well but detected no spiritual power or other obvious anomaly, then returned to shore to rest.
  • Kallen read about a traveler who fled an island community that planned to kill him and wondered whether it could have been Dark Moon Island.
  • Mota praised the Moon God after winning Werewolf, and a red light appeared in the well as a woman in a red gown emerged and began searching for the source of the sound.
  • Kallen noticed that the moon had turned blood-red, sat apart from the group, and heard an unfamiliar woman thank him for the offerings he had brought.

Ch. 462God's Bone!

Kallen was trapped while a red-clad woman consumed two Moon Order God Church clerics and transferred power to him. The sacrifice ended, Kallen’s Eyes of the Dark Moon grew stronger, and Kevin recognized the presence of God's Bone.

  • Kallen found himself sealed inside a cylindrical barrier and realized it might be protecting him rather than imprisoning him.
  • Kevin sensed something wrong, and Ansi was lifted into the air, drained of blood, and reduced to ash by an unseen force.
  • Mota was dragged away next and consumed despite his protective artifacts, while Puer ordered the others not to rescue him.
  • A red-clad woman appeared before Kallen, and he placed his hand in hers as she transferred power into him and enhanced his Eyes of the Dark Moon.
  • The woman departed and Kallen rejoined the group as the barrier vanished; Kevin then barked about God's Bone, which Alfred recognized.

Ch. 463Dark Moon's revenge

After Kallen’s Eyes of the Dark Moon bound him to the island’s unfinished altar, he returned with his squad to find the closing ritual. When the red-robed woman emerged and pursued Philomina, Kallen dragged her into the well, where he witnessed the Dark Moon goddess’s ancient vow of revenge.

  • Kallen chose to leave the island, and Kevin and Alfred set coordinates so the squad could return later.
  • As the sea beast carried the squad away, Kallen’s eyes tore with pain, forcing them to return to the island and investigate the unfinished ritual.
  • At the well, Kallen found dark-red water pulling at him, while the others searched the humanoid sculptures for clues to the closing ritual.
  • Philomina began to fall asleep as the red-robed woman emerged from the well and moved to pursue her.
  • Kallen restrained the woman with the Chains of Order and threw himself and her into the well.
  • At the bottom of the well, Kallen witnessed a Spiritual Imprint of the Dark Moon goddess distributing her bones and vowing to rise again and take vengeance.

Ch. 464Cleanse your body!

Kallen fought the Dark Moon Goddess’s bone puppet in the well while her escaped spiritual imprint targeted Philomina, seeking to use her as a vessel. The bone puppet drove its sacred bone into Kallen’s chest and began transforming him into a Dark Moon follower.

  • Kallen realized the Dark Moon Goddess had sacrificed herself to preserve her faith and revenge, then restrained her puppet with ice after she broke free of his Chains of Order.
  • The spiritual imprint escaped the well, and Puer warned Aisili to make Philomina fall asleep before it could reach her.
  • Memphis pushed himself through increasingly frantic Magic Cube calculations, unknowingly feeding it blood from his palm.
  • Xianty warned Philomina to sleep, then exploded as the spiritual imprint seized her body and entered her dream.
  • In Philomina’s dream, the Red-Clad Woman revealed that she and the bone sought a vessel to reach the battlefield between the Moon Order God Church and Reincarnation, but Philomina refused to worship the Dark Moon.
  • Kallen fought back with light and order fire and stabbed the puppet with the Sword of Arius, but she drove the bone into his chest and began his Dark Moon transformation.

Ch. 465Beg Me!

Kallen resisted the Dark Moon’s attempt to take over his body, while Philomina trapped the Red-Clad Woman inside a second layer of her dream. As the bone prepared to destroy Kallen and the island, the Dark Moon Goddess’s will offered Kallen a gift in exchange for an oath, but he refused to agree and told her to beg him.

  • The Red-Clad Woman told Philomina that she and the bone had rebelled against the Dark Moon Goddess and wanted to take Philomina and Kallen as hosts.
  • Kallen summoned the powers of the God of Light and the God of Order to suppress the Dark Moon Goddess, then restrained the Red-Clad Woman and began absorbing the bone.
  • Kevin explained that Kallen’s body could absorb the bone because he had modified it to withstand a god’s descent.
  • The Red-Clad Woman seized Philomina’s body, but Philomina returned to a second dream layer and revealed that she had prepared the trap for Grandma.
  • The bone began to self-destruct, threatening Kallen, Philomina, and the island, but the Dark Moon Goddess’s will intervened and offered Kallen a gift for swearing to avenge her.
  • Kallen refused to accept the offer immediately and told the Dark Moon Goddess to beg him.

Ch. 466A Plea... from a God

Kallen used his emerging power over Order to force the Dark Moon Goddess to beg Puer for help taking revenge, while Kevin recognized the hatred of gods beneath Order’s hunger. The chapter ended with the Moon Wheel in the Moon Order God Church cracking.

  • Puer and Kevin watched Kallen’s new Clerical Robes appear as he continued confronting the Dark Moon Goddess.
  • The Dark Moon Goddess raised her hand to punish Kallen, but Chains of Order spread behind him and warned her back.
  • Kallen demanded that the Dark Moon Goddess beg him, and she agreed to seek his help with her revenge.
  • Kevin recognized Kallen’s state as resembling the God of Order’s past hunger and recalled the God of Order attacking the gods of the God-Burial Land.
  • Kallen summoned Puer, and the Dark Moon Goddess bowed before her and pleaded for help taking revenge.
  • The guardian of the Moon Wheel discovered that it had cracked.

Ch. 467Devouring the God Bone!

Kallen devoured the Dark Moon Goddess's bone in his consciousness, then endured a painful transformation as he absorbed part of it in reality. When he could neither digest nor remove the remaining bone, Memphis completed the Closing Ritual, giving the others a way to seal the well.

  • Kallen absorbed the bone in his consciousness, regained control of himself, and returned to reality as Puer and Kevin watched over him.
  • Kallen held the bone in his chest and endured his muscles and bones restructuring, while Puer and Kevin discussed the changes to his body.
  • The woman in red told Philomina that the bone's intelligence had been erased, gave her a dagger hidden in the cabin, and warned that the island might still be annihilated.
  • Kallen discovered that he could digest only a third of the bone and could not pull out the rest without triggering its explosion, so he ordered everyone to evacuate.
  • Memphis used the Key of the Magic Cube to work out the Closing Ritual, and Puer told Kallen to hold on while Memphis and Mars prepared to seal the well.

Ch. 468He Smiled

Kallen and his companions completed the Closing Ritual, escaped the island, and began their journey home while discussing their plans. During the voyage, Memphis dreamed of his lost sister and woke in tears after Kallen approached him.

  • Alfred and Mars prepared the Closing Ritual, and Kallen authorized them to begin; the ritual calmed the bone and left a statue in Kallen’s likeness, which he ordered Alfred to deface.
  • The Red-Clad Woman returned to her imprisonment, and Philomina woke safely as Kallen’s group left the woods and chose the island as a future secret base.
  • Alfred, Puer, and Kevin discussed Puer’s promise to help the Dark Moon Goddess, Kallen’s plans for revenge against Vicolai, and possible promotions after their return.
  • Memphis dreamed of his sister’s life, her failed mission, and the nightmares in which she suffered before a sword ended her torment.
  • Kallen practiced walking on the sea beast’s back, found Memphis awake with tear tracks on his face, and quietly asked whether he was all right; Memphis smiled through his tears.

Ch. 469Hatred born of love

Kallen revealed to Mr. Eisen that he was his nephew, and the two reunited while agreeing to keep Kallen’s identity secret. Later, Philomina asked Kallen to help protect her from her grandmother and reflected on her family’s curse, ending by wondering whether her grandmother’s love had turned to hatred after learning Kallen had a fiancée.

  • Kallen confirmed that he was Mr. Eisen’s nephew, and Mr. Eisen wept before embracing him.
  • Mr. Eisen promised to protect Kallen and keep his identity secret, while Kallen told him his parents had loved each other.
  • Mr. Eisen offered to teach Kallen the Key of the Magic Cube, then learned Richard had given Kallen the technique.
  • Philomina asked Kallen to help her face her grandmother, and he promised to stand by her when the time came.
  • Philomina described her resentment and longing about the Felsher Family curse, then said she would have fallen for Kallen if she were a normal girl.
  • Kallen said he already had a fiancée, leaving Philomina to wonder whether her grandmother’s love had turned to hatred.

Ch. 470Pirate rules

Kallen, Muli, and Philomina boarded a pirate ship to reach Fire Island and secure access to its Communication and Teleportation Magic Formations. After Kallen stopped a mutiny and learned the island was governed by the Lomaford Pirate Alliance, a naval battle erupted near the harbor as they approached.

  • Kallen chose to scout the pirate island with Muli and Philomina while Alfred stayed with the concealed sea beast, and the three swam to a small pirate ship with Puer along.
  • Kallen and Muli attacked the mutineers, and Philomina joined the fight; they defeated the mutiny leader and his supporters and freed the white-bearded captain.
  • The captain identified the destination as Fire Island, the main island of the Lomaford Pirate Alliance, and said its Communication and Teleportation Magic Formations could be used for Point Vouchers.
  • Kallen ordered the captain to take them to the alliance, while Puer took a pirate hat and celebrated her first pirate ship.
  • As the Golden Luo neared the harbor, the captain ordered it to stop and raise the white sail when two fleets faced off, then the fleets began exchanging cannon fire.

Ch. 471Old friend

Kallen and his companions found Fire Island caught in political turmoil, with its communication and teleportation formations shut down and the Lomaford Alliance divided over the churches’ war. A mark for a secret gathering led Kallen to recognize the Light Remnants and declare that he had found his organization.

  • Kallen’s pirate ship escaped a naval battle, and Fire Island’s coastal guns forced the opposing fleets to withdraw.
  • Kallen learned that the Lomaford Alliance had closed its communication and teleportation formations, while its three strongest families tried to keep the island neutral.
  • The old captain revealed that the alliance had suffered heavy losses in a clash with Dark Moon Island’s fleet, which had the Order God Church’s support.
  • Kallen’s group went to the market to buy supplies, and Kallen spotted a newly carved sign for a secret gathering.
  • Kallen identified the sign as a message from the Light Remnants and told Puer that he had found his organization.

Ch. 472The return of Light

Kallen infiltrated a gathering of Light Remnants on Fire Island and discovered that Taufman was arranging his escape while warning him about a dangerous plan involving a sealed creature. Taufman urged him to report the threat to the Order God Church, ending with the warning that people might call for Light's return if Order failed to maintain peace.

  • Kallen left Puer and Muli behind and took Philomina with him to attend the Light Remnants' secret gathering.
  • At the gathering, a masked speaker urged the Light Remnants to preserve Fire Island's independence from Reincarnation and the Moon Order God Church.
  • Taufman intercepted Kallen after the meeting, recognized him despite his disguise, and offered to help him and his companions leave Fire Island in two days.
  • Taufman revealed that three families had invited a figure from the Light church to investigate a secret buried near Fire Island's extinct volcano, where a sealed creature might awaken.
  • Taufman told Kallen about the horrors reported on the Mipos Archipelago and asked him to alert the Order God Church to prevent another catastrophe.
  • Kallen questioned Order's response to the Mipos tragedy, and Taufman said people would call for Light's return if Order abandoned its responsibility to preserve peace.

Ch. 473The Evil God Knight officially strikes!

Kallen and Philomina stayed at an inn on Fire Island while the Delan, Castle, and Watson families prepared to awaken a colossal being beneath a volcano. The being’s ripple reached Kallen, Kevin, and Puer, drawing Puer into a dream where she rode Kevin into battle against a three-headed dog.

  • Kallen refused two women offering massages, gave them Order Vouchers, and went to sleep while Philomina kicked away a man who offered her a massage.
  • Alfred wrote notes about Kevin, the gods, and his doubts about Kallen, then concluded that he must have misunderstood if Kallen ever strayed from his principles.
  • Wenbote Delan, Milis Castle, and Xilin Watson revealed an enormous eye beneath the volcano and planned to awaken its guardian with help from an elder of the Church of Light.
  • A ripple from the being reached Kallen, who resisted it in his sleep, while Kevin sensed and caught it, allowing Puer to be drawn into the same dream.
  • Puer found Kevin facing a three-headed dog in the dream, climbed onto his back, summoned a flaming sword, and charged as the Evil God Knight.

Ch. 474The Abyss Sin Hound

Puer and Kevin fought Gilagon in a mental space, defeated the Three-Headed Hound, and then healed it before their contact ended. Later, Kallen sensed a strange ripple of consciousness, and Puer and Kevin encountered Gilagon again when they returned to the mental space.

  • Puer and Kevin outmaneuvered Gilagon, wounded it repeatedly, and defeated it after it transformed to fight upright.
  • Puer learned that Gilagon was the Abyss Sin Three-Headed Hound and healed its wounds before their mental contact ended.
  • Kallen woke and spoke with Philomina, then sensed a distant ripple of consciousness that she could not detect.
  • Alfred fed sleeping Puer and Kevin potions while an invisible ripple passed over the pirate ship.
  • Puer and Kevin returned to the beach in the mental space, where Gilagon ran up to them excitedly.

Ch. 475O-one of Us?

Puer and Kevin learned that Gilagon was sealed beneath Dead Volcano and that someone planned to release him, while Puer befriended the three-headed hound before preparing to leave Fire Island. Kallen’s group was later approached by three disguised Abyss Church members, and their greetings revealed that each side mistook the other for fellow believers.

  • Puer and Kevin discovered that Gilagon’s parents had successively sacrificed themselves to preserve his bloodline, and Gilagon said he expected someone to release him soon.
  • Puer played with Gilagon and promised to introduce him to Aselos, while Kevin and Puer agreed to tell Radio Fairy about the planned unsealing.
  • Alfred told Puer and Kevin that the Light Remnants and three pirate groups were preparing to break the seal, and that Taufman would help Kallen’s group leave by teleportation that night.
  • The old captain bought Abyss Church souvenirs for Kallen, while three black-robed Abyss believers followed him and then tracked the group to their inn.
  • Kallen’s group surrounded the three followers, and Kallen and the woman exchanged greetings that exposed their opposing religious affiliations.
