Arc 4The Night Parade and Toji

Li Shunchen killed Suguru Geto’s curse-user allies and saw the real Geto die, then uncovered a body-stealing impostor and prepared for future threats. After rebuilding his strength and training Gojo and Geto, he killed Toji Fushiguro and took his identity to investigate the Time Vessel Association.

  • Li Shunchen killed Larue after Suguru Geto confirmed his followers had murdered ordinary people, then fought Geto and helped repel the Night Parade.
  • Li Shunchen killed Miguel and Manami Suda in Shinjuku while Satoru Gojo went to Jujutsu High, where Gojo defeated Suguru Geto with Hollow Technique: Purple.
  • After the battle, Li Shunchen killed Geto’s remaining curse-user family members and confronted Yuta Okkotsu about having cursed Rika and causing the casualties.
  • A stitched impostor took control of Suguru Geto’s body, defeated Li Shunchen with Domain Expansion: Womb Profusion, and left him presumed dead.
  • Li Shunchen returned with greater cursed energy, summoned Divine Dogs, and demonstrated copied techniques to Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto while helping them improve their abilities.
  • Masamichi Yaga ordered Li Shunchen to rest after discovering his work on a cursed corpse core designed to create an independent soul.
  • Li Shunchen contacted Yuki Tsukumo about her research, then lured Toji Fushiguro to a hotel and killed him before taking his identity.
  • Li Shunchen buried Toji, removed the contents of the Inventory Curse Worm, and planned to use Toji’s identity to contact the Time Vessel Association.
Chapters 76–100 Vol. 1 Read

Ch. 76Even Special Grades Won't Be Spared

Li Shunchen analyzed Yuta Okkotsu and discovered that his innate cursed technique was Copy, suggesting that Rika was not created by that technique and that Yuta might be a victim of possession. Shunchen still held Yuta responsible for the danger and warned that he would kill him if he knowingly let Rika harm innocents, then left after invoking Suguru Geto and his own failure to stop him.

  • Li Shunchen used Phantom Parade to analyze Yuta Okkotsu and identified his innate cursed technique as Copy.
  • Yuta told Satoru Gojo that Rika had stopped him from taking his own life, while Satoru found the twisted knife Yuta had tried to use.
  • Li Shunchen told Satoru that Yuta's Copy technique could not explain Rika, prompting them to consider that Yuta might be possessed rather than acting deliberately.
  • Satoru offered Yuta a place at Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu High School, but Li Shunchen refused to take responsibility for teaching him.
  • Li Shunchen warned Yuta he would kill him if he knowingly let Rika hurt innocent people, and said that even special grades were not exempt from punishment.
  • Li Shunchen reminded Satoru Gojo that he had failed to stop Suguru Geto from falling, then left the confinement cell.

Ch. 77The authority to carry out the death sentence

After Yuta Okkotsu deliberately summoned Rika during a mission, Li Shunchen secretly met with the jujutsu higher-ups to discuss his status and ask for authority to carry out his secret death sentence if he became irredeemably dangerous. The higher-ups were stunned by Li’s request, and their response remained unresolved.

  • Li Shunchen kept his distance from Yuta Okkotsu after Yuta enrolled at Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu High.
  • Maki told Li that Yuta had deliberately summoned Rika during their elementary-school mission to save the missing children.
  • Li contacted Mei Mei and arranged a secret meeting with the jujutsu higher-ups about Yuta Okkotsu.
  • Li asked whether Yuta was classified as a curse user and learned that the Jujutsu Sorcerer Obligations Treaty applied to him as a sorcerer.
  • Li requested authority to determine whether Yuta posed a danger and to carry out his secret death sentence if necessary.
  • Li told the higher-ups that he would kill Yuta if he became irredeemable, leaving them stunned and silent.

Ch. 78This way... I won't have any qualms.

After securing the higher-ups’ permission to judge and execute Yuta Okkotsu, Shunchen learned Suguru Geto had targeted Yuta and Rika Orimoto. Geto invaded Jujutsu High to recruit Yuta, but after Geto admitted his group had killed non-sorcerers, Shunchen attacked Larue with a lethal thrown blade.

  • The higher-ups compromised and granted Shunchen authority to judge and execute Yuta Okkotsu, while he considered future plans involving Megumi Fushiguro and the Kamo Clan.
  • Kiyotaka Ijichi reported that a hidden Curtain and an unexpected Grade 1 Cursed Spirit had disrupted Yuta Okkotsu and Toge Inumaki’s mission, leading Shunchen and Satoru Gojo to identify Suguru Geto as the likely culprit.
  • On December 24, Suguru Geto arrived at Jujutsu High with Nanako Hasaba, Mimiko Hasaba, and Larue, then approached Yuta and urged him to help create a world inhabited only by Jujutsu Sorcerers.
  • Yuta rejected Geto after he insulted Maki, and Geto’s group clashed verbally with Satoru Gojo and Shunchen as they arrived.
  • Shunchen asked whether Geto’s companions were murderers and Curse Users, and Geto confirmed that they had killed ordinary people.
  • Shunchen used Projection Sorcery and his other abilities to throw Asagirimaru at Larue, whose head exploded in front of Nanako and Mimiko.

Ch. 79Because I believe you, Geto

Li Shunchen killed Larue and explained to Suguru Geto that he acted because he believed Geto’s claim that the curse users had murdered innocent people. He then attacked Geto, using a copied cursed speech command to freeze him at the fatal moment before their weapons collided.

  • Li Shunchen’s sudden strike killed Larue, leaving the curse users and Jujutsu High witnesses stunned.
  • Nanami, Maki, Panda, and Yuta reacted to Li Shunchen’s ruthless attack, while Satoru Gojo saw that it had badly torn the muscles in Li’s right arm.
  • Suguru Geto confronted Li Shunchen over his killing, recalling their past missions together.
  • Li Shunchen said he had killed Larue because he believed Geto’s confirmation that the curse users had innocent blood on their hands.
  • Li Shunchen used Phantom Parade to take Nanami’s sword and charged Suguru Geto, then commanded him, “Don’t move!”

Ch. 80I was a person first, and a Jujutsu Sorcerer second

Li Shunchen severely wounded Suguru Geto in a desperate attack, but Satoru Gojo stopped him from fighting on. Geto escaped after declaring the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons for December 24, leaving Li Shunchen and the others facing the coming battle.

  • Li Shunchen used Cursed Speech, Projection Sorcery, Limitless, and Black Flash to slash through Geto’s cursed spirits, breaking his own right arm and severing Geto’s left arm.
  • Panda caught Li Shunchen, and Yuta Okkotsu began healing his arm while Maki and the others fought the rampaging cursed spirits.
  • Li Shunchen tried to charge Geto again, but Satoru Gojo stood in his way and told him to stop.
  • Geto declared that the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons would begin at sunset on December 24 in Shinjuku and Kyoto, with over a thousand cursed spirits sent to each location.
  • Geto left with Nanako Hasaba and Mimiko aboard a Pelican Cursed Spirit, warning that Li Shunchen and the others would meet him on the battlefield.
  • Li Shunchen vowed to kill Geto, then explained that he protected people because he was a person first and a Jujutsu Sorcerer second.

Ch. 81What they knew of each other

Li Shunchen survived his battle with Suguru Geto but withdrew to recover as Jujutsu High prepared to fight the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons. Geto refused to cancel his plan, betting that Shunchen and Satoru Gojo would be drawn away from Yuta Okkotsu and leave the school vulnerable.

  • Li Shunchen refused Shoko's help, returned Kento Nanami's Cleaver, and went to rest before the operation.
  • Masamichi Yaga ordered sorcerers of Grade 2 and above to plan their response after Kiyotaka Ijichi reported Geto's forces numbered more than two thousand cursed spirits.
  • Satoru Gojo suspected that Geto's real target was Rika, and Yaga declared all-out war against him.
  • Suguru Geto's followers treated his severed arm while Manami Suda urged him to cancel the Night Parade.
  • Suguru Geto refused, reasoning that Shunchen would go to the front lines and that Gojo would follow, leaving Yuta Okkotsu unprotected at Jujutsu High.

Ch. 82A throne standing atop mountains of corpses and seas of blood

As the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons began in Shinjuku, Li Shunchen abandoned Satoru Gojo and attacked Miguel, killing Manami Suda. Miguel prepared to fight Li and declared his support for Suguru Geto’s plan, while Li resolved to kill him.

  • Li Shunchen arranged for Kinji Hakari, Kirara Hoshi, and Atsuya Kusakabe to reinforce Kyoto, and Kinji warned Li not to push himself too hard.
  • Suguru Geto’s cursed spirits appeared throughout Shinjuku, where Miguel and Manami Suda prepared to keep Satoru Gojo occupied and contain Li.
  • Satoru Gojo realized Suguru Geto was not in Shinjuku and suspected he had gone after Yuta Okkotsu, as Kiyotaka Ijichi arrived with investigation results.
  • Li used Phantom Parade and Projection Sorcery to race to Miguel’s rooftop, where a cursed-energy snake emerging from Manami Suda’s shadow killed her.
  • Miguel raised the Black Rope and admitted he was Suguru Geto’s companion, while Li concluded that Miguel had to die that night.

Ch. 83You or me?

You killed Miguel after analyzing his cursed technique and learned that Suguru Geto had likely gone to Jujutsu High to seize Rika. Satoru Gojo chose to confront Suguru Geto himself, leaving you facing the surviving members of Geto’s family and resolving to kill Nanako Hasaba and Mimiko Hasaba.

  • You discovered that Miguel’s Black Rope disrupted cursed techniques and that his Prayer Song technique depended on rhythmic movement.
  • You immobilized Miguel with Cursed Speech and killed him with Chimera’s claw despite Satoru Gojo grabbing your wrist to stop you.
  • Satoru Gojo told you that Suguru Geto was probably heading to Jujutsu High, and you asked whether he or you would go after him.
  • Satoru Gojo chose to go to Jujutsu High, fearing that you would kill your former classmate and bear the burden alone.
  • You recognized Nanako Hasaba and Mimiko Hasaba among Geto’s surviving family members and resolved to kill them for their involvement in the massacre.

Ch. 84Phantoms of the past

While Yuta Okkotsu remained confined at Jujutsu High, Suguru Geto attacked the school to seize him and Rika. Maki Zenin, Panda, and Toge Inumaki tried to stop Geto, but Great Sage intervened before Satoru Gojo arrived to face his former friend.

  • Maki told Yuta about Li Shunchen’s solo assault on the Zenin Clan to reclaim a child, explaining why Li was both kind and uncompromising.
  • Suguru Geto’s Curtain enclosed Jujutsu High, and Panda and Toge returned to warn Maki and Yuta that Geto had targeted the school.
  • Maki, Panda, and Toge confronted Geto while Yuta stayed behind, but Geto badly injured Maki, defeated Toge withstanding, and sent cursed spirits after Panda.
  • Great Sage arrived and attacked Geto’s cursed spirits, startling Geto with memories of the monkey cursed corpse’s past.
  • Satoru Gojo shattered the Curtain, descended onto the field, and confronted Geto.

Ch. 85Onward, even down a dead end

Satoru Gojo confronted Suguru Geto after the Curtain shattered, and Geto learned that Li Shunchen had dealt with his family. Geto died after Gojo stopped his final attack, leaving Gojo reflecting on the burden Shunchen had carried.

  • Satoru Gojo arrived before Suguru Geto, who asked about his family and learned that Li Shunchen had dealt with them.
  • Suguru Geto gathered his remaining cursed spirits and unleashed Maximum Technique: Uzumaki at Satoru Gojo.
  • Satoru Gojo stopped Uzumaki with Limitless and destroyed the attack with Hollow Technique: Purple, which pierced Suguru Geto's heart.
  • Suguru Geto died on the sports field, feeling relief as the burden he had carried for ten years ended.
  • Satoru Gojo looked toward the distant Tokyo Shinjuku battlefield and murmured that he now understood how Li Shunchen had felt.

Ch. 86The root of distortion

After Suguru Geto died, Li killed Geto’s followers and resolved to confront the roots of cursed energy’s tragedies, but learning that Yuta Okkotsu had cursed Rika made him blame Yuta for the Night Parade’s deaths. He left Yuta in Satoru Gojo’s care with a warning that he would kill him if he became dangerous again.

  • After Geto’s death released his cursed spirits, Li killed the curse users Geto had called his family and resolved to carry the burden of their deaths while seeking a way to change such tragedies.
  • Li dreamed of Geto falling into a dark abyss, then learned that Kinji Hakari had fought Kyoto’s conservative higher-ups and faced possible suspension.
  • Ijichi told Li that Yuta Okkotsu was descended from Sugawara no Michizane, and Li realized that Yuta had cursed Rika into becoming a special grade vengeful spirit.
  • Li confronted Yuta in class as Satoru Gojo explained how Yuta could lift Rika’s curse, and Li condemned Yuta for causing the Night Parade and its casualties.
  • Rika attacked Li to protect Yuta, but Li stopped her with a replicated Limitless barrier, and Yuta ordered Rika to withdraw.
  • Li challenged Yuta to take responsibility and warned Gojo that he would kill Yuta if he became dangerous again, then left the classroom as Yuta silently swore to change.

Ch. 87Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga

After the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons, the sorcerer avoided Yuta Okkotsu and visited Suguru Geto’s grave, where he discovered a man wearing Geto’s body and possessing multiple cursed techniques. The impostor used Domain Expansion: Womb Profusion to crush the sorcerer’s attempt to summon Mahoraga.

  • Jujutsu Society’s leaders and Satoru Gojo clashed over whether to hold a public funeral for Suguru Geto, while the sorcerer stayed away and received praise from the higher-ups for his role in the battle.
  • A month later, the sorcerer refused to lead the Jujutsu High team to the Kyoto Goodwill Event because Yuta Okkotsu would be there, so Satoru Gojo took the students instead.
  • At Suguru Geto’s grave, the sorcerer recognized a hooded man as a jujutsu sorcerer with Cursed Spirit Manipulation and two other innate cursed techniques.
  • The sorcerer confronted the man, who revealed Suguru Geto’s face and restored left arm, then used gravity to pin him down.
  • The sorcerer escaped with Limitless and learned that the impostor knew about his secret request to execute Yuta Okkotsu.
  • The sorcerer tried to summon Mahoraga, but the impostor activated Domain Expansion: Womb Profusion and crushed the attempt before it could finish.

Ch. 88Interlude

On the train back to Tokyo, Satoru Gojo learned that Li Shunchen had disappeared and that Suguru Geto’s Cursed Energy had been found at the scene, so he rushed to Geto’s grave. Meanwhile, the man possessing Li Shunchen’s body tested his copied techniques and planned to use Suguru Geto’s body and Cursed Spirit Manipulation to reshape the world.

  • Masamichi Yaga told Satoru Gojo that Li Shunchen had disappeared and that investigators had recovered Suguru Geto’s Cursed Energy at the scene.
  • Satoru Gojo erupted with Cursed Energy, demanded to know where the evidence was found, then tore open the Shinkansen door and left for Geto’s grave.
  • The man occupying Li Shunchen’s body tested its physical strength and found it far weaker than the combat reports had led him to expect.
  • The man used Phantom Parade to copy Gojo’s gravity technique and its reversal, Antigravity, with perfect accuracy.
  • The man examined Suguru Geto’s corpse and decided that mastering Phantom Parade alongside Cursed Spirit Manipulation could let him abandon his previous plans.

Ch. 89You died

Li Shunchen regained the memories of his simulation and analyzed the identity of the being who had killed him while wearing Suguru Geto’s body. He concluded that a stitched-up parasite was controlling the corpse, but its ties to the jujutsu factions and its plans remained uncertain.

  • Li Shunchen received his simulation rewards, including increased cursed energy and new abilities, as the memories of his death flooded back.
  • Li Shunchen inferred that the killer was not the real Suguru Geto and that an unknown being was living inside Geto’s body and using multiple cursed techniques.
  • Li Shunchen recalled the fresh stitches on the killer’s forehead and recognized that Womb Profusion used a barrierless domain unlike Cursed Spirit Manipulation.
  • Li Shunchen connected the stitched figure to old reports about a mysterious woman at the Time Vessel Association and considered whether the being had ties to the higher-ups, the Zenin Clan, or the Kamo Clan.
  • Li Shunchen concluded that the killer had avoided Satoru Gojo and wondered what the parasite intended to do with Suguru Geto’s body and Cursed Spirit Manipulation.

Ch. 90Why Did No One Believe the Truth?

Li Shunchen prepared to face future domain users, tested how much of his simulated Ten Shadows Technique carried over, and tried to explain his growing cursed energy to Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto. They dismissed his true account as a dream and accepted his fabricated binding-vow explanation, and the chapter ended with Li Shunchen asking Suguru Geto for a sparring match.

  • Li Shunchen decided to prepare for domain battles by pursuing domain techniques and defensive counters, while keeping his knowledge of future events secret.
  • Li Shunchen summoned two new Divine Dogs in reality and realized that his simulated experience let him use basic Ten Shadows shikigami, though simulated creations and bonds did not carry over.
  • Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto noticed that Li Shunchen's cursed energy had increased sharply and pressed him to explain the growth.
  • Li Shunchen told them his cursed energy rose after realistic dreams of future battles, but neither Satoru Gojo nor Suguru Geto believed him.
  • Li Shunchen claimed his cursed technique increased his cursed energy through a binding vow, and Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto accepted the explanation and reassured him about its cost.
  • Li Shunchen asked Suguru Geto to spar with him so he could test his current strength.

Ch. 91Don't Make Me Laugh

Li Shunchen tested his abilities against Suguru Geto, neutralized Geto’s cursed technique, and won their spar with a slap. After revealing he had mastered Cursed Technique Reversal, Li Shunchen demonstrated Red to Satoru Gojo, whose Limitless abruptly faltered as he tried to defend himself.

  • Li Shunchen scanned Suguru Geto and confirmed that Geto possessed only Cursed Spirit Manipulation.
  • Li Shunchen neutralized Geto’s cursed technique, then used his speed and knowledge of Geto’s fighting style to slip past his guard and slap him.
  • Satoru Gojo laughed at Geto’s defeat, while Geto recovered and asked Li Shunchen why his technique had stopped working.
  • Li Shunchen explained that Nagi Daytime Prohibition could copy, analyze, and neutralize an opponent’s cursed technique.
  • Satoru Gojo challenged Li Shunchen’s claim, but Li Shunchen formed Red at his fingertip and demonstrated the reversal.
  • Satoru Gojo recognized his signature move and tried to block it, but his Limitless stalled as he activated it.

Ch. 92Want to Be the Gojo Clan's Divine Child Instead?

Li Shunchen demonstrated that he had mastered the Gojo Clan’s Red and then revealed that he could also use Hollow Technique: Purple. Satoru Gojo’s challenge ended in stunned defeat, with him sarcastically offering Li Shunchen the title of the Gojo Clan’s Divine Child.

  • Li Shunchen used Red to send Satoru Gojo flying, proving he had mastered Cursed Technique Reversal.
  • Satoru Gojo challenged Li Shunchen to spar, while Suguru Geto laughed at Gojo’s humiliation.
  • Li Shunchen declined to continue sparring and said he had already analyzed Gojo’s techniques through Phantom Parade.
  • Li Shunchen combined Blue and Red to fire a controlled Hollow Technique: Purple into the sky.
  • Suguru Geto was stunned by the unfamiliar technique, and Satoru Gojo admitted defeat by sarcastically offering Li Shunchen his place as the Gojo Clan’s Divine Child.

Ch. 93A very long nightmare

Li Shunchen demonstrated how Phantom Parade let him replicate Cursed Spirit Manipulation and create a miniature Maximum: Uzumaki, then offered to help Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto develop their techniques to prevent a nightmare from recurring. Geto accepted, while Gojo reeled after Li Shunchen revealed the name of his future Domain Expansion, until Masamichi Yaga arrived and blamed Gojo for the destruction.

  • Li Shunchen explained that using Hollow Technique: Purple consumed too much cursed energy for him to sustain in a real fight without the Six Eyes.
  • At Li Shunchen's request, Suguru Geto lent him two grade 4 Fly Head cursed spirits, which Li Shunchen subjugated and swallowed.
  • Li Shunchen fused the two cursed spirits into a miniature Maximum: Uzumaki, demonstrating his understanding of Geto's technique and offering to teach both men advanced applications of their abilities.
  • Li Shunchen said a very long nightmare had motivated him to make Gojo and Geto stronger, and Suguru Geto accepted his offer.
  • Li Shunchen mentioned Gojo's Domain Expansion, Unlimited Void, leaving Gojo stunned before Masamichi Yaga shouted at him about the dangerous blast on campus.
  • Gojo protested that Li Shunchen had caused the destruction, but Yaga appeared unconvinced.

Ch. 94No intention of sharing the burden

Li Shunchen confessed to Masamichi Yaga that he had replicated Limitless and Hollow Technique: Purple, and the school agreed to keep his abilities secret while he tutored Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto. As their rivalry consumed his time, Li Shunchen offered to help Shoko Ieiri improve her Reverse Cursed Technique, but she refused because greater ability would bring her an even heavier burden; he ended the chapter reflecting on the many crises he still needed to prevent.

  • Li Shunchen told Masamichi Yaga how he had replicated Limitless and Hollow Technique: Purple, and explained his plan to teach advanced techniques to Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto.
  • Masamichi Yaga accepted Li Shunchen's account, approved of his teaching the two special grades, and agreed to keep his abilities a top-level secret at Jujutsu High.
  • Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto repeatedly fought over Li Shunchen's tutoring time, disrupting his efforts to train alone while Shoko Ieiri watched from the field's steps.
  • Li Shunchen offered to teach Shoko Ieiri about Reverse Cursed Technique, but Shoko refused, explaining that improved treatment skills would only make the higher-ups assign her more wounded people.
  • Li Shunchen apologized and considered the many people and tragedies he still needed to address, including Riko Amanai, Toji Zenin, and the mastermind inhabiting Suguru Geto's body.

Ch. 95An early miracle

Li Shunchen secretly worked through the night on an advanced cursed corpse core while Masamichi Yaga worried that he was pushing himself beyond his limits. After examining the core, Yaga realized Li Shunchen was attempting something far beyond an ordinary cursed corpse, and Li Shunchen revealed his goal.

  • Suguru Geto mastered Maximum Technique: Uzumaki, and Satoru Gojo advanced his mastery of Reverse Cursed Technique, Red, and Hollow Purple, freeing Li Shunchen from their training sessions.
  • Masamichi Yaga discovered Li Shunchen refining a cursed corpse core in his workshop at five in the morning and confronted him about his relentless schedule.
  • Li Shunchen explained that Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto occupied his days, so he worked on cursed corpses early in the morning and late at night.
  • Masamichi Yaga stopped Li Shunchen from carving and ordered him to rest, but Li Shunchen showed him the intricate core he had been making.
  • Masamichi Yaga recognized that the core contained advanced techniques that could simulate a soul, and Li Shunchen said he intended to create a fully independent cursed corpse with a soul of its own.

Ch. 96I want to find a way to save everyone

Li Shunchen explained to Masamichi Yaga that he wanted to create independent, self-sustaining cursed corpses so sorcerers would no longer have to risk their lives on missions. Alarmed by Shunchen’s self-sacrificing drive, Yaga forced him to take two days off and barred Gojo and Geto from seeking him out, leaving Yaga to consider how to guide his student.

  • Li Shunchen told Masamichi Yaga that his main research goal was to create cursed corpses with independent souls that could replace sorcerers in dangerous work.
  • Li Shunchen explained that his own brush with death and the shortage of sorcerers had led him to seek a way to save everyone.
  • Masamichi Yaga realized that Shunchen was pushing himself toward ruin for his ambition, so he dragged him out of the workshop and ordered him to stay away during the night and early morning.
  • Masamichi Yaga placed Shunchen on mandatory leave for two days and forbade Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto from visiting or sparring with him.
  • Satoru Gojo challenged Yaga and was struck on the head, while Yaga privately recognized that he needed time to work out how to guide Shunchen.

Ch. 97Blood Cannot Be Washed Away

Li Shunchen used his mandatory leave to contact Yuki Tsukumo anonymously and challenge her research into eradicating Cursed Energy. After learning Toji Zenin was not essential to her work, Li Shunchen declared his intention to hunt the Sorcerer Killer and destroyed the SIM card, leaving Yuki curious about his identity.

  • Li Shunchen decided to leave Jujutsu High during his mandatory vacation and told Masamichi Yaga he planned to visit his family's graves.
  • Masamichi Yaga gave Li Shunchen one hundred thousand yen and urged him to spend the two days relaxing.
  • Li Shunchen bought an anonymous SIM card in Shinjuku, disguised his voice, and called Yuki Tsukumo to ask whether a living holder of Heavenly Restriction with no Cursed Energy was essential to her research.
  • Yuki Tsukumo said Toji Zenin was a valuable research subject but not indispensable, and she described her hope of eventually eliminating Cursed Energy without creating superhumans.
  • Li Shunchen argued that Yuki Tsukumo's research would take too long and that universally removing Cursed Energy could cause other dangers.
  • Li Shunchen told Yuki Tsukumo that he intended to cut out the tumor of Curse Users, then ended the call and crushed the SIM card.

Ch. 98Thus Spoke Emperor Guan

After losing his gambling money, Toji Fushiguro accepted a meeting about a lucrative bodyguard contract for a wealthy Chinese businessman. The chapter ended when a stranger in the hotel restroom spoke in Shiu Kong’s voice and ordered Toji not to move.

  • Shiu Kong offered Toji a long-term bodyguard contract for a wealthy overseas businessman seeking a non-sorcerer who could face jujutsu sorcerers.
  • Shiu Kong explained that the superstitious client required Toji to meet him in person and hinted that the assignment involved an underground casino.
  • After losing his bet, Toji agreed to meet the client, insisted he was Fushiguro rather than Zenin, and went to the hotel Shiu Kong named.
  • At the hotel, Toji was told to wait until the reservation holder arrived, so he went to the restroom.
  • Toji heard Shiu Kong’s voice behind him, but the mirror showed an unfamiliar figure, who ordered him, “Don’t move!”

Ch. 99Schrödinger's Toji

Li Shunchen killed Toji Fushiguro in a carefully prepared ambush, concealed his body, and impersonated him in a call with Shiu Kong. He planned to keep Toji’s identity alive so he could use it to approach the Time Vessel Association and investigate the truth about that woman.

  • Li Shunchen immobilized Toji with Cursed Speech, froze him with Projection Sorcery, and decapitated him in the dark.
  • Li Shunchen swallowed Toji’s corpse and blood into his shadow, leaving the restroom apparently empty.
  • A hotel server found the restroom empty, dismissed the strange smell, and left without discovering the murder.
  • Li Shunchen answered Shiu Kong’s call in Toji’s voice and claimed he had accepted a lucrative job.
  • Li Shunchen resolved to use Toji Fushiguro’s identity to contact the Time Vessel Association and investigate that woman.

Ch. 100Toji's legacy

Li Shunchen buried Toji Fushiguro in the mountains and found that Phantom Parade could not copy Toji’s Heavenly Restriction or the Inventory Curse Worm’s storage ability. He collected Toji’s weapons and firearms, then pocketed the worm to give to Suguru Geto later.

  • Li Shunchen failed to extract anything from Toji Fushiguro’s body with Phantom Parade and reflected on killing him before ordering the Divine Dogs to bury him.
  • Li Shunchen carved [Fushiguro] into a flat stone and marked Toji’s grave without an epitaph.
  • Li Shunchen decided to empty the Inventory Curse Worm and give it to Suguru Geto, since he did not want to use it himself.
  • Li Shunchen had the Inventory Curse Worm disgorge the Inverted Spear of Heaven, the Chain of a Thousand Miles Chain, Playful Cloud, the Soul Liberation Blade, and Toji’s firearms.
  • Li Shunchen made the worm swallow its contents again, ordered it to behave, and pocketed it in its compressed form.
Arc 4 of 17
