Background / History

Blue Silver Sovereign and First Human Life

Ah Yin is the previous Blue Silver Emperor’s sole direct descendant and, according to the Blue Silver King, the oldest living Blue Silver Grass on the continent. Before entering human society, she nurtured seedlings, awakened their intelligence, guided her kin’s cultivation, and supported the clan’s bloodline development 19.

Forty years before the Blue Silver King recounted her history, Ah Yin left the Ancestral Land to escape her approaching Heavenly Tribulation through transformation. In human society, she treated mountain villagers’ wounds and illnesses while concealing her identity. She later met Tang Hao and Tang Xiao, became their sworn sibling, and eventually married Tang Hao 19 24.

After giving birth to Tang San, Ah Yin faced Spirit Hall’s pursuit while her vitality was depleted. She sacrificed herself, destroying her origin essence, but preserved her soul within an origin seed. The Blue Silver King later questioned neither the sacrifice’s recipient nor its circumstances openly; Su Yi’s suspicions about Tang Hao were not established as fact 19 24 63.

Recovery with Su Yi

In Su Yi’s fate simulation, he found Ah Yin weakened in a cold cave near Nuoding City. He transplanted her into spirit soil, carried her into the Star Luo Empire, and cultivated her in a secluded border-town courtyard using diluted Spirit Spring Water and Immortal Herb Essence 1 4.

Ah Yin initially concealed her awareness because she did not know his intentions. She remembered her identity and Soul Beast knowledge but had lost her memories of human life. Once reassured by his care, she spoke to him telepathically and began guiding the development of his Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul 5 23.

During their first Soul Ring hunt, she helped him defeat an Ancient Evergreen Vine, then secretly attempted to preserve its life. Su Yi supported her efforts rather than dismissing them, strengthening her trust in him 5 23.

When her recovering cultivation made their remote home unsafe, Ah Yin considered leaving to avoid burdening him. Su Yi refused to let her travel alone and instead brought her to the Blue Silver Forest. There, her subjects welcomed her return, and she introduced him as her sworn younger brother. She asked him to remain beside her and wove a treehouse for them 6 7.

Second Transformation and Restored Memories

Life in the Ancestral Land deepened Ah Yin’s attachment to Su Yi. His stories encouraged her to consider independence and a ruler’s obligations, while his arguments for coexistence offered her a way to acknowledge both human and Soul Beast identities. Moved by his support, she kissed his cheek 8 10 11.

Ah Yin offered to help Su Yi become a Blue Silver Emperor, believing he could guide her people and stand beside her across racial boundaries. He refused to place the clan’s future in an outsider’s hands and encouraged her to lead it herself. Before transforming, she gave him life-bound essence blood and helped form his Life-bound Soul Ring 15 16 23.

Within her transformation cocoon, Ah Yin encountered a surviving consciousness associated with her former human life. At first, she possessed its memories without sharing its emotional attachments and sharply criticized its self-sacrifice and relationship with Tang Hao. The former consciousness asked only that she visit Tang San. Their merger restored both her memories and the dormant feelings of a wife and mother; the passage describes this as recovering part of herself, not one person devouring another 24.

After emerging, Ah Yin remained affectionate toward Su Yi but became restrained by her restored family ties. She resumed her imperial duties and accompanied him to Heaven Dou City, where she helped investigate those responsible for his family’s extermination 20 21.

Separation and Family Reunion

Convinced that he could not have her whole heart, Su Yi left without a direct farewell. He gave her an Azure Hairpin containing a fragment of his consciousness, memories, and attachment. Ah Yin found the gift and note, then followed her bloodline to Tang Hao and Tang San near Holy Soul Village 22 26.

Ah Yin turned aside from Tang Hao’s attempted embrace to greet their son. Her joy became anger when she learned that Tang San had cooked and managed their household from the age of three. She rebuked Tang Hao for failing to care for their child, despite Tang San’s efforts to defend him 26.

She also rejected Tang Hao’s insistence that transformation had made her solely human. To Tang San, she distinguished personal revenge against those who had separated their family from universal claims of righteousness or evil 27.

Medical Work and Reunion with Su Yi

During their years apart, Ah Yin quietly followed Su Yi’s life through the Blue Silver Network. She later visited their former Heaven Dou courtyard and invited him to see her own life, clarifying that she was not trying to recruit him into the war 76 77.

Ah Yin had established a medical camp for wounded Heaven Dou soldiers. She openly identified herself as a hundred-thousand-year Soul Beast, including on the camp’s flags, hoping that her treatment of humans would challenge their view of Soul Beasts. Su Yi recognized this as an application of their earlier discussions and affirmed its potential to foster peace 78.

A later discussion among the Clear Sky Sect elders connected Tang San’s potential Blue Silver Emperor advancement with the restriction on imperial succession. When the discussion threatened to turn toward harming Ah Yin, Tang Hao declared that he would kill anyone who touched her 79.

Appearance

Ah Yin’s plant body is Blue Silver Grass distinguished by golden leaf patterns; her spiritual and human forms share long blue hair, gentle features, and blue clothing 4 7 19.

  • Plant form: Initially thin and withered; later develops thick, gnarled vines and broad, fanlike leaves as her cultivation recovers 4 7.
  • Variable size: Can draw her enormous plant body inward until it fits in a palm 7.
  • Spiritual form: A beautiful woman with waist-length blue hair, a pale blue dress embroidered in gold, and a blue-gold halo 7.
  • Human form: Fair, luminous skin, blue eyes, and small Blue Silver leaf ornaments bearing golden patterns 19 20.
  • Later appearance: Retains her serenity, but shows greater weariness and composure after years in the human world 76.

Personality

Ah Yin is gentle, patient, and strongly protective of life. Her care extends from the weakest Blue Silver seedlings to a Soul Beast killed during a hunt: after helping Su Yi obtain the Ancient Evergreen Vine’s ring, she apologized to its remains and tried to give it another chance to grow 5 19.

Despite her long lifespan, her early experience of human society is limited. During her amnesiac recovery, she is initially timid and trusting, later becoming cheerful and curious about ordinary human life. Her affection often appears through small gestures, such as winding a tendril around Su Yi’s finger or quietly easing his exhaustion 4 8 9.

Her kindness coexists with uncertainty about leadership. She initially hopes Su Yi can assume the imperial burden, but accepts his encouragement to protect the clan herself. Later, she firmly defends her Soul Beast identity, confronts Tang Hao over parental neglect, and publicly uses her healing work to advocate coexistence 16 26 27 78.

Abilities & Skills

Blue Silver Domain and Network

Ah Yin communicates through Blue Silver Grass, using the surrounding vegetation for perception, coordination, and support 4 5.

  • Locates Soul Beasts and relays precise directions during hunts 5 13.
  • Collects information through grass growing beside streets, walls, and private residences; helps uncover Su Yi’s enemies within two days 21.
  • Channels the Ancestral Land’s vitality for healing and bloodline awakening 14 16.
  • Quietly observes Su Yi over the years through the Blue Silver Network 77.
  • Early limitation: Using the domain while weakened visibly drains her, dimming her golden markings and leaving her leaves drooping 5.

Everlasting Life

The Blue Silver Emperor’s innate gift allows life to continue through an origin seed even after the destruction of the body 5.

  • An intact origin seed can take root, sprout, and begin cultivating again 5.
  • At her former strength, she could completely recover within forty-nine days provided she did not sever her own origin essence, according to the Blue Silver King 19.
  • Her suicidal sacrifice bypassed that protection by destroying her origin essence, though a seed still preserved a thread of life 19 63.
  • Under suitable conditions, the ability can benefit other plant-type Soul Beasts, as demonstrated with the Ancient Evergreen Vine 63.
  • Su Yi later uses her retained blood essence as a medium to preserve Yiyi’s soul in a Snow Lotus Seed 63.

Healing and Life-Force Support

Ah Yin applies the Blue Silver Emperor’s origin vitality to injuries, cultivation damage, and medical treatment 6 14 78.

  • Soothes Su Yi’s scorched or disordered meridians during cultivation experiments 6 14.
  • Helps settle residual lightning after his Soul Ring absorption 14.
  • Treats wounded soldiers using medicine alongside her life force 78.

Imperial Bloodline and Awakening

Her life-bound essence blood can catalyze changes in a compatible Blue Silver bloodline 15 16.

  • Helps awaken Su Yi’s Blue Silver King Martial Soul and establish his standing as the clan’s prince 17.
  • Combines her blood essence, domain, and her subjects’ power to condense a growing Life-bound Soul Ring from Su Yi’s own life origin 16 17.
  • Could potentially support the creation of another Blue Silver Emperor with the clan’s recognition, but would surrender her throne status and authority while retaining her own imperial origin and power 15.
  • A phantom of Ah Yin also appears in Su Yi’s Sea of Consciousness and destroys the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger’s resentment during his ring absorption 29.

Plant Manipulation and Cultivation Knowledge

Ah Yin controls her vines with precision and retains extensive knowledge of Soul Beast habits and plant cultivation 5 7.

  • Weaves defensive barriers, a furnished treehouse, and a cradle for Su Yi 5 7 14.
  • Advocates developing Blue Silver Grass through vitality and adaptability rather than binding alone 5.
  • Recommends Soul Ring targets suited to Su Yi’s needs, including the Dark Thunder Scale Armor Dragon for lightning resistance 12.
  • Awakens intelligence in seedlings, maintains bloodline inheritance, and guides the Blue Silver King’s cultivation 20.

Transformation Breath Concealment Technique

Su Yi gives Ah Yin a simplified technique designed to protect transformed Soul Beasts from detection 10.

  • Masks source aura and imitates a human Soul Master’s Soul Power 10.
  • Allows its concealment membrane to be temporarily released for forming Soul Rings, then restored 10.
  • Su Yi permits her to teach it freely to other Soul Beasts 11.
  • Her own second transformation enters the mature stage directly, making the technique unnecessary for her 17.
