Her apparent detachment is not indifference. The losses surrounding Geto, Gojo, and Yaga leave her feeling increasingly powerless, particularly when her strategic importance fails to give her political influence. History

Meeting Yue Liusi

At Shibuya Toll Plaza, Shoko persuades a suspicious Yaga to hear out Yue Liusi’s request for a sorcerer title. She takes an interest in his subsequent spar with Yaga and treats his injuries afterward. When he studies her Reverse Cursed Technique with his Sharingan, she teases him for staring 3 4.

Yue Liusi later draws her to a Shibuya rooftop with his claim that Suguru Geto is both “real and fake.” Until then, Shoko does not know that Geto is definitively dead: Gojo had not allowed her to handle his body. Yue Liusi explains that Kenjaku occupies the corpse and used Geto’s appearance to create the opening needed to seal Gojo in the Prison Realm 12.

The Teaching Agreement

Yue Liusi offers to bring Gojo back in exchange for lessons in Reverse Cursed Technique. Shoko initially objects because she does not know how to teach it successfully, but accepts when he insists that learning is his responsibility. She requests no binding vow, placing the agreement on personal trust instead 12 13.

During Sukuna’s rampage, she accompanies Yue Liusi to observe the fighting. He brings her Choso as a potential ally and teaching subject, and she prepares a lesson plan based on his constitution before returning to the medical station 15 16.

The Higher-Ups also task Shoko and Yaga with investigating Yue Liusi’s unknown background. She openly admits the assignment to him, while privately having little patience for the officials behind it 16.

Remaining in Tokyo

After Shibuya, Shoko refuses evacuation and stays in her Tokyo home. Yue Liusi rents neighboring apartments while continuing his lessons, and the students remain nearby to rescue survivors and clear cursed spirits 22.

As the Higher-Ups purge the Gojo Faction, Shoko warns as many people as she can and reports Nanami’s house arrest. Yaga’s death sentence leaves her unable to ask Yue Liusi directly for help, but he assures her that he will stand with his own people rather than execute her teacher 22 23.

Her instruction concludes once Yue Liusi achieves powerful self-healing by combining Reverse Cursed Technique with Mystical Palm Technique. When he subsequently hesitates over dismantling the Higher-Ups’ leadership, she reminds him that their companions support him and that he need not carry the consequences alone. Their conversation helps him recognize that he has become part of their world 25 26 27.

Assassination Attempt and the Higher-Ups’ Purge

While Yue Liusi prepares dinner at her home, cursed-energy projectiles target Shoko through a window. He pulls her clear, relocates her, and encloses her in a protective lava barrier before pursuing the attackers 27.

The attack involves six participants—three Grade 1s and three Grade 2s—and is backed by the Higher-Ups. Shoko and Yue Liusi conclude that Kenjaku likely helped provoke it to deepen Yue Liusi’s conflict with the leadership; Kenjaku’s involvement remains their assessment rather than a confirmed confession 28.

Before Yue Liusi advances on Jujutsu Headquarters, he promises Shoko that he will execute only the ringleaders. Her advice to trust their companions also informs his decision to leave rebuilding Jujutsu Society to others rather than assume every task himself 29 31.

Birthday Celebration

After confronting the Higher-Ups and fighting Yuta, Yue Liusi returns with a crystal-clear kunai pendant and wishes Shoko a happy birthday. A gathering at her home brings together friends and allies, including Utahime and Yaga. Shoko is surprised by its scale, having gone years without a proper birthday celebration 34.

The birthday marks her turning twenty-nine. Later, she reflects on her age with Yue Liusi, although she is not troubled by their age difference. She also recognizes how much their relationship has changed since she first wondered about the loneliness beneath his confidence 35 36.

Tokyo No. 2 Colony

Yue Liusi recruits Shoko to coordinate the colony operation, assigns Yuki Tsukumo to protect her, and gives her the internal power-supplying barrier as an additional safeguard 39.

After entering the colony, Shoko meets the reincarnated Geto. When he questions her evident pride in Yue Liusi and jokes about her “robbing the cradle,” she kicks him and identifies Yue Liusi as her friend 40 42.

Shoko subsequently manages personnel at Tokyo Skytree and obtains Kashimo’s cooperation. By the time Yue Liusi returns from Sendai, she reports that almost everyone in the colony has gathered, allowing him to begin their mass evacuation 43 47 50.
