Chapters 76–100 Vol. 1 Read

Ch. 76Magic Circles

Radeus discovered that he had gained two Dharma Wheels and could benefit from the adaptation of all fifteen wheels on his side, then learned he and Tia were trapped in an alternate-dimensional space. The chapter ended with the group unable to activate a damaged teleportation circle or figure out how to repair it.

  • Radeus examined his new Dharma Wheels and found that Limitless came with only a vague instruction to explore its time-and-space abilities himself.
  • Mahoraga told Radeus that they were in an alternate-dimensional space in a gap in spacetime, and Tia pointed out a distant magic circle that might lead them back.
  • Tia explained that she had sensed Radeus and used Mahoraga's existence to descend into the space and break free of its restraints.
  • Radeus, Tia, and Mahoraga reached the damaged magic circle, but Radeus's mana did not activate it.
  • Radeus asked Tia and Mahoraga how to use the circle, but neither knew, leaving the group stranded.

Ch. 77Summoning

Radeus and Tia tried to find a way to escape after discovering the damaged magic circle was useless. Tia summoned her friend Betty, a powerful magic specialist, but Betty addressed her as Kasira, leaving their connection unclear.

  • Mahoraga told Radeus that the damaged magic circle could not be repaired through adaptation and that he sensed no energy in it.
  • Tia admitted she could not repair the circle, then drew a summoning circle to call someone who could.
  • Tia tricked Radeus into reciting an elaborate Holy Grail War summoning chant, even though the chant was unnecessary.
  • Radeus beat Tia after she confessed to adding the chant for fun, while a petite girl appeared in the glowing circle.
  • The newly summoned girl, dressed in a red princess dress, asked what Kasira needed Betty for.

Ch. 78Betty

Radeus met Betty, who repaired the shattered magic circle, and used it with Tia to leave the ruins. Tia’s hidden contract then trapped Betty as Radeus’s spirit, leaving the three of them together in a barren place.

  • Betty appeared in the ruins, recognized Tia and Radeus, and agreed to repair the shattered magic circle.
  • Betty restored the magic circle with a wave, and Radeus and Tia entered it and disappeared in a flash of blue light.
  • Betty also vanished from the ruins and appeared beside Radeus and Tia in a barren, rocky place.
  • Tia revealed that the Parchment had bound Betty to Radeus as a spirit and prevented her from returning to the Divine Realm.
  • Radeus learned that Betty could only return after the contract ended and that she would work from nine to five, then sleep in the Magic Stone in the Greed Staff-Sword.

Ch. 79The Six-Faced World

Radeus learned from Betty about the Six-Faced World and how its shattered fragments became the New Human World. He then built a cooled, comfortable carriage and had his Shadow Wolves prepare to pull it.

  • Radeus asked Betty whether she had returned him to his original world, and she confirmed he was in the Human World, part of the Six-Faced World.
  • Betty explained that the gods' war shattered the Six-Faced World, merging fragments of its other worlds with the Human World.
  • Betty said the first-generation gods had died except for Hitogami, while later gods had inherited their titles.
  • Radeus built a large carriage, furnished it, and cooled its interior with Ice Magic.
  • Radeus summoned two Shadow Wolves to pull the carriage and planned to use his other Shikigami to handle monsters.

  • Radeus gave chilled water to Eris and Rujierd, then introduced Betty and Tia after Rudeus accused him of kidnapping a child.
  • Rudeus and Radeus argued as the carriage neared the village, where Rujierd negotiated with a blue-haired man who initially refused them entry.
  • Rujierd said the man would bring the chief, and the group waited while he used telepathy.
  • The chief arrived with a blue-haired woman who looked exactly like Roxy, and Radeus recognized the village as likely being her hometown.

Ch. 84Father-in-law

Radeus and Rudeus reached the Migurd village, where they met Roxy’s parents and learned she had become a famous Water King Rank mage. Rujierd offered to escort them home, but Rocks pointed out that Rujierd could not enter towns, leaving the group unsure how he could help.

  • Rudeus introduced himself and his companions to Chief Rocks, and Radeus asked whether the village had a mage named Roxy Migurdia.
  • Rowin revealed that he was Roxy’s father, and Radeus jokingly called him Father-in-law, prompting Rowin to chase him through the village.

Ch. 85The Superd Race's Secret

Rujierd explained how Laplace cursed the Superd Race through their spears, leading to their infamous reputation, and Rudeus, Radeus, and Eris agreed to help clear it. Later, Rudeus told Radeus about Hitogami, whose apparent ignorance of Radeus left him suspicious.

  • Rujierd revealed that Laplace’s cursed spears drove the Superd warriors to attack their own people, and that his son sacrificed himself to free him.
  • Rujierd said he had helped the Dragon God defeat Laplace, who was sealed away, and explained that he wanted to clear the Superd Race’s reputation.
  • Rudeus, Radeus, and Eris promised to help Rujierd, who accepted their offer.
  • Rudeus brought Radeus to an empty room and asked whether he knew about Hitogami.

  • Radeus advised Rudeus not to trust or antagonize Hitogami and to keep Radeus's existence secret.
  • Rujierd led the group out of the village, where Rowin and Rokari saw them off and asked them to greet Roxy.

  • Radeus led Rudeus, Eris, and Rujierd onward toward their second stop on the Demon Continent.

Ch. 87Sword Dance

  • Rudeus and Rujierd reacted with astonishment as Radeus explained how his technique combined elements of the three great sword styles.
  • Radeus offered to teach Eris, and she eagerly agreed to get into the carriage.
  • Rudeus realized Radeus had staged the demonstration to get Eris into the carriage and praised him telepathically.

Ch. 88[Sun]

Radeus and Rudeus negotiated a Blessing called [Sun], which strengthened them as the sun rose but reduced their strength to eighty percent at night. Their carriage then approached the cliffs marking the way to a town on the Demon Continent.

  • Radeus reminded Rudeus to ask the spirits for a Blessing and proposed a power that increased toward noon without a nighttime penalty.
  • Rudeus asked the spirits and learned they could not grant the Blessing without changing its terms.
  • Radeus suggested that their nighttime strength be reduced to eighty percent, and Rudeus successfully obtained the [Sun] Blessing.

After finding low-rank quests paid too little, Radeus revealed monster corpses, including an S-rank Fenrir Wolf, and learned how dangerous the creatures were supposed to be.

  • Rudeus insisted that Radeus work to support the group, so Radeus claimed Rudeus was actually the older brother.
  • The group rented one room, bought Eris a cat-eared cloak, and found the Adventurers' Guild in Rikarisu Town.
  • Radeus and Rudeus made an embarrassing entrance, announced their squad as the Most Evil Squad, and introduced Rujierd as the famous Dead End.
  • Rudeus registered the party under the name Dead End, and the receptionist explained the guild ranks and quest restrictions.

Ch. 91Hitogami Appears Again

Radeus sold monster corpses for 1,000 Green Ore Coins, and he and Rudeus celebrated their sudden wealth in Rikarisu. Hitogami appeared in Rudeus’s dream and advised him to accept a Cat-Finding Request, leaving Rudeus to suspect that Hitogami could not see the effects of Radeus’s actions.

  • Rujierd and Radeus sensed animal traces ahead, and the group prepared to enter the underground lair.
  • Radeus summoned three Mahoragas, then had them shrink and enter the group's shadows to escort them inside.

Ch. 93You're holding your heads too high

  • Three captors arrived, and Radeus intimidated them, slashing the beetle-man’s horns when he refused to kneel fully.
  • The ant-woman admitted that they abducted pets and pretended to return them for rewards.
  • Rudeus proposed that the captors rank up and trade quests with Dead End to help promote Rujierd, and Radeus ordered them to comply.
  • Radeus healed the beetle-man and warned the three not to abduct pets again.

Ch. 94A million Green Ore Coins

Radeus and Rudeus persuaded Rujierd to work with three reformed villains to help restore the Superd Race’s reputation, then celebrated at a restaurant. There, they met a trio of rookie adventurers who introduced themselves as the Dokurabu Village Delinquent Squad.

  • Rujierd reluctantly agreed to join forces with the three villains after Radeus and Rudeus explained how the partnership could help the Superd Race.
  • Radeus, Rudeus, Rujierd, and the three men spent the day returning the stolen pets to their owners, and Radeus warned the men to raise their rank and stop doing wrong.
  • Radeus ordered nearly every dish on the restaurant menu, while Rujierd stopped him from ordering wine and requested soft drinks instead.
  • An ogre boy, a four-armed overlord, and a birdman asked to share the table, and Radeus welcomed them.
  • The three rookie adventurers struck poses and announced that they were the Dokurabu Village Delinquent Squad, impressing Radeus and Rudeus with their theatrical flair.

Ch. 95A future set in motion

After dinner with Kuruto and his companions, Radeus reflected on their search for their scattered families and reassured Eris that her relatives were alive. He and Rudeus remained wary of Hitogami as they watched the Demon Continent’s night sky, while Source Mahoraga’s Dharma Wheel of adaptation turned slightly for an unknown reason.

  • Radeus taught Kuruto, Bachiro, and Gablin a dramatic introduction, and Kuruto announced that he would spread Radeus’s quotes across the Demon Continent with his name attached.

Ch. 96Rumbling

Radeus and Rudeus learned that Rock Worms were causing earthquakes and attacking caravans near Rikarisu Town, threatening the town’s supplies. Radeus accepted the dangerous extermination request, persuading Rudeus that it could help clear the Superd Race’s name, while secretly wanting the nightly tremors to stop.

  • Radeus and his companions visited the guild after [Dead End] advanced to C-rank, where guild members greeted them warmly.
  • Rudeus read a B-rank request about attacks on caravans along the eastern trade route and learned that Rock Worms were responsible.
  • The receptionist explained that the Rock Worms had built an underground nest near Rikarisu Town and might be led by a Worm Mother.
  • An earthquake shook the town, and the receptionist confirmed that the Rock Worms’ nest-building was causing the tremors.
  • Radeus accepted the request and persuaded Rudeus that completing a near-S-rank mission could help clear the Superd Race’s name.

Ch. 97The giant's maw

Radeus and his companions tracked the Rock Worms to their nest in the Ancient Quarry Ruins and discovered the worms were gathering food for breeding. After Betty froze a huge swarm, the party continued deeper into the ruins, where the ground suddenly collapsed and swallowed them.

  • Rudeus shared detailed information about Rock Worms and identified the Ancient Quarry Ruins as the likely location of their nest.
  • Radeus and Rujierd concluded that the unusually frequent attacks meant the Worm Mother was stockpiling food for breeding, so the party set out immediately with Betty.
  • Radeus cut down the Rock Worms at the entrance and sent Shadow Wolves through the tunnels to search for the Worm Mother.
  • Rujierd led the group to a chamber filled with worms, and Betty froze them all with a precise wide-area spell.
  • Eris praised Betty and picked her up, but as Rudeus urged caution, the ground collapsed and swallowed the entire party.

  • Radeus, Rudeus, Rujierd, Eris, and Betty walked toward the Worm Mother’s dwelling, while its newborn worms fed and rapidly grew.

Ch. 99The 41 Seconds Before [Purple] Activated

Radeus unleashed [Purple] in the Worm Mother's lair, killing the Worm Mother and collapsing the ruins before he and his companions escaped. Back in Rikarisu, they were hailed as heroes, and Radeus celebrated with the adventurers as the Blue Reaper's name spread across the Demon Continent.

  • The Worm Mother attacked Radeus and his companions with petrifying slime and a sonic roar, but Rudeus and Betty blocked its assaults.
  • As dust covered its escape, the Worm Mother fled, but Radeus began the chant that combined [Blue] and [Red] into [Purple].
  • Radeus's [Purple] erased the Worm Mother and tore through the ruins, so he used slashes and Limitless to bring everyone safely to the surface.
  • Radeus and his companions returned to the Adventurers' Guild, where a witness announced that [Dead End] had stopped the Rock Worm attack.
  • Radeus offered to pay for the night's drinks, and the adventurers cheered him as word of the Blue Reaper spread across the Demon Continent.

Ch. 100Boreas in a Cage

Philip and Hilda were captured by the Gray Rat Legion in the Southern Continent’s civil war, while Ghislaine followed Radeus’s Shadow Bracelet in search of them. Ghislaine found signs that Philip and Hilda had been nearby and continued toward them, fearing the brutality of the war would claim them first.

  • Philip warned Hilda to pretend to faint and stay silent if the soldiers interrogated them, while they worried about Eris, Rudeus, and Rad.
  • Ghislaine arrived in the conflict zone, fought off the soldiers who attacked her, and set out to find Eris and the others.
  • Radeus’s Shadow Bracelet began flashing and guided Ghislaine toward Philip and Hilda.
  • After running for three days and three nights, Ghislaine found a scorched field bearing Philip and Hilda’s scents and realized the bracelet was leading her to them.
  • Ghislaine reached a burned-out village, confirmed the corpses were not Philip or Hilda, and continued following the bracelet southeast.
