Appointment and Succession
- Selection: Bibi Dong personally chose her son, Qian Renxing, as Holy Son. Sisi attributes his appointment to his biological relationship with Bibi Dong, former Pope Qian Xunji, and Great Enshrined Qian Daoliu—not to demonstrated cultivation ability 1 2.
- Family repercussions: Qian Renxue’s whereabouts became unknown after her younger brother’s selection. Renxing interprets her departure as anger over losing to him, but this is his own explanation 1.
- Expected succession: Sisi reassures Renxing that he will become Pope, while Xie Yue regards his eventual succession as highly likely 2 7.
- Institutional qualification: The Elder Hall can depose a Pope through a unanimous vote. Sisi considers Qian Daoliu’s position as its master an additional safeguard for Renxing’s future 2.
- No cultivation prerequisite demonstrated: Renxing already holds the title while remaining at Level 10 without a Soul Ring or knowledge of cultivation 3.
Authority and Privileges
Standing Within Spirit Hall
- Xie Yue describes the Holy Son as standing “below one person and above ten thousand,” emphasizing both his position and Bibi Dong’s exceptional affection for him 7.
- Spirit Hall Chamber of Commerce employees comply when Renxing orders them to pour their remaining whale rubber stock into his enormous pot 18.
- Association with the Holy Son offers substantial prospects for advancement: Xie Yue anticipates benefiting if Renxing becomes Pope, and Hu Liena regards becoming his maid as an honor rather than a demotion 7.
Access and Protection
- Pope’s Palace: Bibi Dong issues a decree allowing Renxing to enter without being announced. Qian Daoliu, by contrast, is stopped until permission can be obtained 22.
- Douluo Hall: Guards allow Renxing inside but prevent Sisi, Hu Liena, and Xie Yue from following him 9.
- Personal safety: Hu Liena fears that she and Xie Yue will face severe punishment from Bibi Dong if Renxing dies while under their care 18.
- Protected upbringing: Qian Daoliu tells Renxing that, as Holy Son, he can remain safely in his palace and delegate tasks. He later invokes the same privileged position when arguing that Renxing need not risk absorbing an excessively old first Soul Ring 40 43.
Influence Over Appointments and Pardons
- Renxing appoints Xie Yue to record his deeds and sayings as his clerk 21.
- He appoints Yan captain of his guards after praising Yan’s sculpture 31.
- He personally recruits Su Yuntao as a guard despite Qian Daoliu’s initial objection to accepting someone whose background has not yet been established 34.
- His forgiveness enables Yan’s release from prison, although Bibi Dong gives the actual pardon order 29.
Household and Principal Connections
- Bibi Dong — Mother, appointing Pope, and chief protector. She assigns attendants to Renxing and supports distributing his sacred image 1 7 22.
- Qian Daoliu — Grandfather, Great Enshrined, and master of the Elder Hall. He teaches Renxing cultivation and urges him to distinguish loyal advice from flattery 2 21 29.
- Sisi — Longtime maid and trusted attendant. Her selection for service elevates her prospects beyond an intended branch deacon posting in Nuoding City 1 9.
- Hu Liena — Maid appointed by Bibi Dong; she accepts service beside the Holy Son as an honor 7.
- Xie Yue — Initially appointed personal guard by Bibi Dong; subsequently becomes Renxing’s clerk, chronicler, and creator of sacred images 7 21.
- Yan — Initially imprisoned after offending Renxing; later pardoned, appointed guard captain, and celebrated for sculpting the Holy Son 6 29 31.
- Su Yuntao — Personally recruited guard who rewards Renxing’s recognition with elaborate public tributes 34 42.
- Mighty Lion Douluo — Prominent believer who defends Renxing’s pursuit of godhood, even against Qian Daoliu’s opposition 19 22 25.
History
From Privileged Heir to Object of Worship
By age ten, Qian Renxing is already Holy Son despite having neither cultivated nor refined a Soul Ring. His early understanding of the office centers on his family background and the expectation that he will eventually become Pope 1 2 3.
His public reputation changes after he leaps into boiling whale rubber and remains unharmed. Witnesses interpret the spectacle as a holy miracle and an act of exceptional filial devotion. They begin recording his statements as sacred words, while Renxing promises to take his followers to the Divine Realm if he becomes a god 18 19.
After Qian Daoliu explains faith-based godhood, Renxing resolves to attract believers worldwide. Xie Yue’s depiction of the whale-rubber incident becomes the centerpiece of this effort. Bibi Dong proposes reproducing one billion copies, and the Elder Hall ultimately approves the plan; Qian Daoliu announces unanimous support after initially opposing it 20 21 22 28.
Expansion of the Following
Renxing’s followers increasingly treat ordinary actions—including tricycle collisions and a flush-toilet demonstration—as miracles. Qian Daoliu repeatedly challenges these interpretations, but the movement also produces documented cultivation results: Mighty Lion Douluo advances from Level 97 to Level 98 through contemplation of Renxing’s image and words, and the six Enshrined later break through again after hearing his sayings 25 26 31 33 37.
By the time Su Yuntao reshapes Spirit City’s trees into saluting, toilet-seated knights, residents interpret even a deliberately prepared tribute as an auspicious sign from heaven 42.
Sacred Records and Images
| Work | Creator | Subject and Purpose |

| The Holy Son Stands | Xie Yue | Depicts the whale-rubber spectacle; approved for reproduction in one billion copies 21 28. |
| Holy Son’s Collision | Yan | Commemorates Renxing striking Yan with his tricycle, interpreted as awakening the ignorant 31. |
| Holy Son’s Contemplation | Yan | Portrays Renxing seated on a toilet; Renxing requests replicas in every city 35. |
| Holy Son’s Flush | Xie Yue | Depicts flushing a toilet and supports the proposed divine identity of the God of Shit and Piss 36. |
| Greetings, Holy Son! | Su Yuntao | Trees throughout Spirit City trimmed into toilet-seated knights saluting the Holy Son’s Hall 42. |
Proposed Divine Titles
These names concern Renxing’s hoped-for godhood rather than his Spirit Hall office; their use does not establish that he has become a god 20 39.
- Tricycle God — Promoted by Qian Daoliu as an alternative to the scatological divine title, drawing on Renxing’s tricycle Martial Soul and supposedly enlightening collisions 34 36.
- God of Shit and Piss — Renxing’s preferred name, supported by followers who interpret his toilet innovations and sayings as sacred teachings 32 37 39.
- God Who Holds Up the Heavens — Proposed by a witness recalling the whale-rubber spectacle 39.
