Background / History

Rongrong is Tushan’s second-in-command and the younger sister of Tushan Honghong and Tushan Yaya. Although her martial strength falls below her elder sisters’, she is distinguished by her calculations and intelligence. Her original fox-spirit world had already entered modern society 1 4 30.

She accompanied Luo Yang to the Dou Qi Continent as a figurine. Roughly half a year before their arrival in Mo City, Luo Yang was transported from Blue-White Star to the Magical Beast Mountain Range while handling her figure. When magical beasts threatened him, Rongrong came to life and saved him 1.

As an activated figurine, she possesses her own personality, memories, and cultivation rather than functioning as an obedient, personality-less construct. Her absolute loyalty to Luo Yang does not automatically constitute romantic attachment 5.

Appearance

Rongrong has a petite build, long green hair, drooping fox ears, and two distinctive demon markings on her cheeks. Her habitually narrowed eyes and slightly raised lips give her an expression combining gentleness with sly confidence 1.

  • Clothing: Predominantly yellow, with white and green accents 1.
  • Long skirt: Covers her shoes and trails along the ground. She dislikes getting it dirty in the desert sand 1 6.
  • Fox ears: Folded and highly sensitive; they twitch when Qing Lin touches them 8.
  • Build: Her small chest is a pronounced personal sensitivity, particularly when Luo Yang comments on it 2 4.

Personality

Rongrong is amiable, shrewd, and calculating, usually maintaining a faint smile even while pressuring someone into an agreement. She exploits Hai Bodong’s dwindling lifespan to secure his cooperation, but she also recognizes her own limits and warns Luo Yang that she is not all-powerful 2 11.

Her affection for Luo Yang is protective and indulgent. She comforts him with lullabies, tolerates his childish behavior, and often yields to his pleading. Nevertheless, she repeatedly urges him to think independently and arranges opportunities for him to negotiate or fight without her immediate intervention 5 12 24 30 37.

Qing Lin’s mistreatment brings out a much fiercer side of her. Rongrong punishes those who bully the girl while deliberately sparing their lives, then makes certain that Qing Lin’s decision to join them is voluntary rather than an obligation born of gratitude 8.

She is also intensely sensitive about her figure and capable of holding grudges. After Luo Yang calls her chest flat, she refuses to speak to him for several days; later, comparisons with the other female figurines affect her choice of potential companions 4 12 13.

Abilities & Skills

Strategy and Negotiation

Rongrong combines her experience as Tushan’s administrator with knowledge from Luo Yang’s copy of Battle Through the Heavens 1 2.

  • Recruitment: Secures Hai Bodong’s assistance by offering to remove Medusa’s seal in exchange for his support and that of the Mittel Family 2.
  • Adapting to altered events: Anticipates that taking Xiao Yan’s opportunities could accelerate his journey rather than leave him following the original timeline 11.
  • Redirecting hostility: Teaches Luo Yang to pressure the Snake-People by threatening cooperation with their enemy, the Jia Ma Empire 31.
  • Long-term preparation: Anticipates Yun Yun’s arrival at the wedding and arranges an additional set of bridal robes 44.
  • Chess: Places the Snake-People Great Elder in an irrecoverable disadvantage by the forty-ninth move 46.
  • Limits: Acknowledges that her Five-Star Dou Wang strength is insufficient for the strongest opponents awaiting them in the Tagor Desert 12.

Fox Thought Technique

Rongrong uses the Fox Thought Technique to immobilize and suspend Hai Bodong while preparing to remove his seal. She initially announces the procedure as the True Fox Thought Technique 2 3.

  • Prevents Hai Bodong from moving during acupuncture 3.
  • Forms one part of a multi-step treatment rather than removing the Snake Seal by itself 3.

Moon-Gazing Palm / Forgotten Promise Palm

The Moon-Gazing Palm, also called the Forgotten Promise Palm, can sever connections with a strike. Rongrong has practiced this signature palm extensively 3.

  • Severs the connection between Medusa’s Snake Seal and Hai Bodong’s Dou Crystal 3.
  • Requires preparatory acupuncture in Hai Bodong’s case to create an opening between the seal and its attachment 3.

Acupuncture and Healing

Rongrong learned acupuncture from Cui Yuling and uses it alongside her demonic techniques 3.

  • Soul stimulation: Inserts silver needles into Hai Bodong’s acupoints to loosen the Snake Seal’s attachment 3.
  • Star-Shifting Technique: Heals Yue Mei’s missing-scale wounds by using intact scales elsewhere on her body as a reference 28.
  • Healing limit: Cannot restore the life force Yue Mei expends during her attempted self-detonation 28.
  • Examination and care: Checks Qing Lin after the awakening of her eye technique and nurses her back from malnutrition 14 16.
  • Earlier treatment: Tends Yun Yun’s injuries during their stay in the Magical Beast Mountain Range 44.

Demonic Power and Defensive Techniques

Rongrong uses green Demonic Power for combat, protection, and everyday tasks 1 3 4.

  • Shields herself and Luo Yang against Hai Bodong’s probing presence and the shock waves released during his recovery 1 3.
  • Sends groups of mercenaries flying without killing them 8.
  • Blocks wind and sand while Luo Yang carries her through the desert 6.
  • Can fly and does not need food for sustenance 5 21.
  • Cleans their inn room with Demonic Power 4.

Counter-Technique Knowledge

Rongrong has studied Tushan Yaya’s ice techniques, Tushan Honghong’s Insulated Claw, and the signature skills of several demon emperors 4.

  • Her familiarity with Yaya’s ice allows her to dismantle Hai Bodong’s ice despite his superior cultivation at the time 3 4.
  • After his recovery, Hai Bodong’s ice cannot approach within one meter of her even when he uses seventy percent of his Dou Qi 3.

Giant Tree of Suffering and Clone

Rongrong gradually merges with the Giant Tree of Suffering after Luo Yang manifests her territorial base in the Snake-People Holy City 46.

  • Power restoration: The union restores her Demonic Power to Great Demon Emperor level 46.
  • Continued connection: She describes herself as inseparable from the tree when reassuring Luo Yang about her safety 46.
  • Clone seed: Gives Luo Yang a Tree of Suffering seed containing her clone. Planting it allows him to activate the clone for assistance 47.

Other Recorded Skills

  • Disguise Technique: Listed in her character profile; no specific application is detailed in the supplied passages 2.
  • Matchmaking: Identified as the strongest Red Thread Immortal, with a recorded hand-holding success rate of 100%; she helps arrange Luo Yang’s marriage alliance 2 32 33.
  • Figurine-room access: Can enter Luo Yang’s collection space and assist him in selecting new figures to activate 1 12.
  • Causality awareness: Her bond with Luo Yang lets her sense the cause and effect he gains after Medusa’s evolution 33.

Relationships

  • Luo Yang / Luo Wenxuan — Her nominal master, pupil, and protected companion. She calls him “Luoluo,” while he calls her “Sister Rongrong.” She regards him as a younger brother rather than an established romantic partner; her recorded affection rises from 92 to 94 2 5 47.
  • Tushan Yaya — Her second elder sister. Rongrong understands her ice techniques and misses her, but discourages Luo Yang from activating her before he can handle the consequences 4 12 13.
  • Tushan Honghong — Her eldest sister, whose Insulated Claw she has studied. Rongrong declines an opportunity to bring both sisters over despite missing them 4 46.
