Klein and his allies thwarted Amon’s attack on Böklund Street while Emlyn’s pursuit of the Rose School of Thought led to a gathering and a Sanguine plan. Xio and Fors tracked Shermane as her life changed, ending with Viscount Stratford trapping Trissy and Klein secretly following Qonas Kilgor.
Klein and his allies uncovered Viscount Stratford’s connection to King George III and captured Qonas Kilgor, whose testimony pointed to underground ruins and the king’s plans. As the investigation remained unresolved, Xio and Fors pursued their leads while Klein prepared to help Sharron and the Sanguine confront the Rose School of Thought.
Audrey and Klein survived Herabergen Rambis’s attempt to manipulate the Tarot Club, then Klein turned to Groselle’s Travels to investigate the past through dreams. The group entered the Sea of Collective Subconscious and found the ancient city of Liveseyd in a deep-sea pit.
Klein’s explorations exposed a sealed presence beneath Ankewelt’s palace, while war erupted and he learned that George III was pursuing the Black Emperor’s apotheosis. Klein enlisted Bernadette to oppose the king and began preparing to target Katarina as the story turned toward Afternoon Town and a secluded island.
As the war spread, Klein investigated Zaratul, Katarina, and George III’s mausoleums while the City of Silver’s team explored the Giant King’s Court. The expedition uncovered Rose Redemption’s history and reached a doorway opening onto an endless sea.
The City of Silver defeated Myrgongen and withdrew from the Giant King's Court with the Silver Knight formula. Klein advanced to Scholar of Yore and prepared to disrupt George III's Black Emperor ritual, then began his intervention during the king's speech.
Klein and Trissy destroyed George III’s advancement ritual, after which Amon captured Klein and led him into the Forsaken Land of the Gods. At Chernobyl, Klein realized he had never left Earth and escaped Amon’s attempt to seize Sefirah Castle with the Evernight Goddess’s intervention.
Klein pursued the Miracle Invoker ingredients and tracked the Dark Demonic Wolf Kotar through the Forsaken Land of the Gods, while the Tarot Club prepared to draw Botis into a trap. The arc ended with Fors telling Dorian Gray Abraham about her advancement and Gehrman Sparrow, leaving Dorian shaken but unwilling to flee.
Klein and his allies defeated Botis, recovered the Box of the Great Old One, and began resolving the Abraham Family’s curse while Amon advanced his apotheosis plan. Klein then reached Moon City, treated its people, and revealed a path toward life beyond the grayish-white fog as the story left the city preparing for change.
Klein strengthened his position in Moon City, learned more about the Apocalypse, and helped the Tarot Club defeat the Rose School of Thought’s Warlock King. As unrest spread and the Wishing Lamp revealed a dangerous presence, Klein began his carefully concealed hunt for Kotar.
Klein opened Sasrir’s palace and fought alongside the City of Silver to defeat the Dark Angel, but Amon seized the first Blasphemy Slate. The City of Silver’s curse and the war’s sudden end brought farewells and new questions as the story prepared to move into its next volume.
Klein advanced to Miracle Invoker, learned more about the approaching Apocalypse, and began wandering the world while fulfilling wishes. In Beldan, he contained the rule-warping Trunsoest Brass Book, then turned toward preparing for his next advancement as Derrick’s team reached Bayam.
Klein moved the City of Silver and Moon City into the outside world, investigated supernatural dangers, and helped Bernadette confront her father’s corrupted return. As he continued granting wishes and responding to threats, Audrey entered an unfamiliar city after meeting Eric Drake.
Audrey joined the Psychology Alchemists while Klein established the town of Utopia, whose strange appearances drew in Alfred, Wendel, and others. As Klein continued his ritual and the Tarot Club monitored threats tied to Bansy Harbor, Audrey was drawn toward Hedrak and finally confronted the Mind Dragon.
Klein escaped Adam’s trap, advanced to Sequence 1, and confronted the forces surrounding Mr. Door and Zaratul as the Apocalypse drew closer. He then sought to become The Fool while keeping the Celestial Worthy’s will at bay, with Audrey treating his unstable mind and Klein entering the Garden of Eden to confront Bailey Delair.
Klein gathered allies and prepared for the battle over The Fool’s Uniqueness, then became The Fool after defeating the Lord of Mysteries’ resurrection and driving Amon away. Knowing the Celestial Worthy still threatened to awaken within him, Klein entered a long slumber while entrusting the Tarot Club with protecting the world and his return.
With Mr. Fool in slumber, the Tarot Club members took on new duties while Azik awakened and Melissa made contact with a little girl. The story then followed Barton’s encounter with the Tamara Family and a modern-day narrator facing ghosts, a suspicious driver, and an undercover investigation at a tutoring center.
