| Merit Saint | 25 26 27 | Created the Human Race and received the bulk of the resulting Heavenly Dao Merit. The Hongmeng Purple Qi forcibly absorbed Merit into her, but she accepted the power, completed her ascension, and later shattered the Purple Qi. |
| Saint of Heaven, Earth, and Man (planned) | 259 | Her stated objective is to accelerate the emergence of the Earthly and Human Daos, combine their Merit with Heavenly Dao Merit, and escape the limitations of being solely a Heavenly Dao Merit Saint. |
Background
Nu Wa sensed an opportunity to Prove Dao and followed that intuition to the place where she formed Liu Mang, the first Human. When his birth brought neither a Heavenly Dao decree nor Merit, she created Xuan Du as a second test. During this process, she began hearing Liu Mang's inner thoughts, though he could not speak directly to her. 1 3 5
Guided in part by Liu Mang's thoughts, Nu Wa recognized the race she had created as the Human Race. She first personally shaped three thousand humans from clay, then used an Innate Gourd Vine, Breathing Soil, Three Lights Divine Water, and the Law of Creation to create the rest. The completed Human Race numbered 1.296 million, though the humans formed personally possessed superior physiques and aptitude. 21 22 25
The Human Race's establishment brought vast Merit. Although Nu Wa suspected that Hong Jun had tampered with the process and initially considered refusing the Merit to continue on the three-corpse path, the Hongmeng Purple Qi forcibly drew Merit into her body. She ultimately accepted the infusion, became Hong Huang's first Saint, and shattered the Hongmeng Purple Qi afterward, scattering its fragments across Hong Huang. 25 26 27
Later, Nu Wa revealed that the Merit Saint was not her main body, but her Good Corpse, acting in her stead while her main body pursued the Law of Creation in Chaos. Her main body developed a creation seed capable of converting chaotic energy into usable energy. 259
Appearance
Nu Wa is portrayed as an awe-inspiring giant woman whose upper body alone reaches the height of a twenty-story building. Even when suppressing her aura, her presence is suffocating and accompanied by flowing divine light. 1
- Wears an empress's phoenix crown. 1
- Wears a flowing robe decorated with auspicious-cloud patterns. 1
- Has golden-silk red trousers and snake-scaled boots shaped like human legs. 1
- Is described as sacred and noble while surrounded by Merit and the Law of Creation. 21 25
- Her Saintly ascension is marked by seven-colored divine light. 26 27
Personality
Nu Wa is observant and deeply cautious. Liu Mang's inexplicable knowledge of Hong Huang, future events, and hidden locations quickly makes her question whether he possesses innate knowledge, prophetic ability, or another concealed origin. His warnings also lead her to distrust Hong Jun's manipulation of Merit and the Hongmeng Purple Qi. 3 5 31
She is protective toward both the Human Race and those she considers family. She arranges protection for humanity before leaving Hong Huang, refuses to let the Human Ancestral Land be abandoned, supports Fu Xi's reincarnation despite fearing separation from him, and repeatedly intervenes when Liu Mang is endangered. 40 41 42 328 333 399
Nu Wa also has a volatile, teasing maternal side toward Liu Mang. She disciplines him physically, calls him an “unfilial son,” and regularly threatens or beats him when his thoughts offend her; however, she also shields him from hostility, entrusts him to Tongtian's care, and mentors his body refinement in Chaos. 18 21 48 327
