Star Luo City Dispute

Zhu Zhuyun first appears alongside Dai Weisi, Dai Mubai, and Zhu Zhuqing when they force their way into the Gu Clan’s courtyard residence during business negotiations. They discover the Dai and Zhu family heads bowing to Gu Wuchen, whose control over cultivation supplies gives him considerable leverage over both families 55.

She and Zhu Zhuqing openly admire Gu Wuchen, prompting Dai Mubai to accuse him of seducing both his own fiancée and Dai Weisi’s. The sisters jointly reject Dai Mubai’s interference, objecting to the double standard that permits men to pursue other women while forbidding them from admiring someone else 55 56.

After the dispute, Zhu Qingyan formally introduces her daughters to Shen Suwei. When Gu Wuchen departs, Zhu Zhuyun teases Zhu Zhuqing for continuing to watch after his carriage has disappeared 57.

Journey to Suotuo City

Four years later, Zhu Zhuyun accompanies Zhu Zhuqing to Suotuo City. Gu Wuchen is surprised by their closeness; Zhu Zhuyun explains that their family’s rules can sometimes be changed. Their relationship has subtly improved since his visit to Star Luo City 61.

At the Rose Hotel, she steps in front of Zhu Zhuqing after they encounter Dai Mubai with two women. She condemns his continued debauchery and declares that the Zhu Family has no in-law like him 61.

When Dai Mubai attacks Gu Wuchen, Zhu Zhuyun initially prevents her sister from intervening, confident that he cannot win. She advises Zhu Zhuqing to claim Shrek Academy’s captaincy through strength. Both sisters later want to intervene when Tang San joins Dai Mubai, but Gu Wuchen declines their help and defeats his opponents himself 62 63.

Parting at Shrek Academy

Zhu Zhuyun inspects Shrek Academy’s buildings and entrance assessment, questioning whether her sister truly wants to remain at such a dilapidated school. She accepts Zhu Zhuqing’s decision, offers advice, and leaves. Although she considers Star Luo Academy a better fit for herself, she intends to visit Gu Wuchen before departing 65.

The following morning, she meets Gu Wuchen over Ice Lotus tea. She asks about his future plans and offers to host him if he returns to Star Luo City. Before leaving, she requests that he help Zhu Zhuqing should her sister encounter trouble in the Heaven Dou Empire, offering her own assistance in return 66.

Her later interactions with Zhu Zhuqing are protective and pragmatic. She shields her sister from Dai Mubai, discourages unnecessary intervention in Gu Wuchen’s fight, and urges her to gain authority through strength. Despite reservations about Shrek Academy, she respects her sister’s choice to stay 61 62 65.

She admires both Gu Wuchen’s appearance and his strength. Rather than hiding her interest, she seeks him out personally and invites him to visit Star Luo City 55 63 66.
