Composition & Hierarchy

| Known clan | Innate power / distinction | Relative standing |

| Devouring Clan | Devouring Power, which can damage an opponent's origin and future Dao path if it entangles them 465 | Regarded as the foremost of the seven clans 452 |

Saint Lords
Each great clan is led by a Taboo-level Saint Lord whose authority is absolute. A Saint Lord can end internal feuds by command and directly eradicate disobedient clansmen. 438
- Corruption Saint Lord — Taboo-level ruler of the Corruption Clan; conceals agents' traces and prevents any subordinate from advancing into a second Saint Lord, preserving his sole authority. 403 404
- Plague Saint Lord — Responded to Pangu's destruction of Plague Clan forces but arrived too late to save the surviving Grand Dao Supremes. 428
- Devouring Saint Lord — Hosted the gathering of all seven Saint Lords in his personal great world. 438
Nature & Characteristics
The Evil Clans are fundamentally opposed to the living beings of the Chaos World. Their auras are described as yin in contrast to the Chaos World's yang, producing instinctive disgust, hostility, and killing intent in Chaos creatures. Neither side can form a genuine alliance with the other. 364 428
- Evil Clan blood is black, foul-smelling, and carries negative auras of evil and decay, even when shed by a Taboo-level Saint Lord. 411
- Their innate powers naturally restrain Chaos World lifeforms; victims struck by Corruption, Plague, or similar powers may have no opportunity to recover. 364
- Individual Evil Clan members are difficult to kill and can fight above their cultivation realm; killing one may require five to ten times the normal cost, with failure still possible. 363
- Their threat rises sharply at the Primordial and Heavenly Dao realms. Grand Dao-realm members are feared even by figures such as Pangu. 363
Cultivation Ranks
| Rank | Threat assessment |
|---|---|
| Low cultivation | Comparatively easier to eliminate than stronger clansmen 363 |
| Primordial Realm / Heavenly Dao Realm | Threat increases exponentially; members can overpower comparable opponents through their innate powers 363 474 |
| Dao Lord | First documented subdivision within the Grand Dao Realm 474 |
| Dao Venerable | Above Dao Lord; separated by an “insurmountable chasm” 474 |
| Grand Dao Supreme | Highest documented ordinary Grand Dao subdivision; major invasion forces include large numbers of these experts 443 474 |
| Taboo Level | Saint Lords; their battles determine the ultimate outcome of the war against the Chaos World 403 438 |
History
The Evil Clans have fought the Chaos World across countless ages. Golden Fortune Daoist was once slain by a Grand Dao-realm Corruption Clan Dao Lord, whose Corruption Power instantly annihilated his peak Heavenly Dao cultivation; the Karma God and Demon rescued him before his complete death. 370
Their conflict with the Chaos World remains unresolved because neither side has decisively eliminated the other's Taboo-level combatants. The outcome of battles below that level can affect the war, but the loss of even one Taboo-level being is considered a world-shaking disaster. 403
Infiltration of the Primordial Wilderness
Corruption Clan members entered the Primordial Wilderness seeking secrets connected to that world. Three Grand Dao-realm Evil Clan members later entered Hongxuan's formation, where they were trapped and eroded over hundreds of millions of years. 403 408
Hongxuan eventually used the weakened captives as opponents to temper his combat ability. He killed all three, annihilating their souls and bodies with the Karma Wheel after the formation had reduced their strength to a fraction of their former power. 409 410
Plague Clan Scheme
The Plague Clan concealed vast forces within Chaos World territory while carrying out a scheme involving a Land of Opportunity. Hongxuan observed at least a million Plague Clan members, including roughly a thousand Grand Dao-realm Dao Lords and dozens of Dao Venerables. 422 423
Pangu discovered the hidden operation and destroyed nearly thirty percent of the Evil Clan forces with a single axe strike, then killed the surviving Grand Dao Supremes before the Plague Saint Lord arrived. 428
Assault on the Primordial World
The seven clans later organized a major assault on the Primordial World: one hundred Grand Dao Supremes, nearly one thousand Dao Venerables, and nearly ten thousand Dao Lords. 443
Hongxuan divided the invaders through a grand formation, isolating the Grand Dao Supremes in specialized killing formations while trapping weaker members in confinement and illusion formations. 450
- The seven Paragon Grand Dao Supremes were isolated and killed first, including the Devouring Clan's leader among the invading force. 452
- Hongxuan and his avatars subsequently eliminated twenty-one late-stage and thirty-five mid-stage Grand Dao Supremes. 453
- Angel Clan and Chaos God-and-Demon forces cooperated outside the formation to exterminate the remaining Dao Venerate- and Dao Lord-level Evil Clan members sent out by Hongxuan. 454 455 461
- The final result included the deaths of all one hundred invading Grand Dao Supremes. 463
Abilities & Powers
Innate Evil Powers
Every clan possesses a distinct innate power tied to its identity. These abilities are especially dangerous against living beings of the Chaos World and are the source of the Evil Clans' ability to fight above their realm. 363 364
- Corruption Power — Corrupts targets with lethal effect; contact can mean immediate death or reduction to ashes for beings below the Grand Dao Realm. 363 384
- Plague Power — Combines destructive force with infection, allowing a single afflicted target to spread the plague to many others. 422
- Devouring Power — Threatens an opponent's origin foundation and future cultivation path. 465
- Illusionary Power — Corrodes primordial spirits and Dao Hearts, potentially leaving lasting soul damage even after rescue. 475 476
- Annihilation Power — The defining power of the Annihilation Clan; its specific applications are not detailed. 364
Above-Realm Combat
Evil Clan members are capable of crushing ordinary opponents at the same cultivation level. This advantage is attributed to their innate powers and the natural restraint those powers hold over Chaos World beings. 363 474
- Their advantages diminish against opponents who understand the essence and weaknesses of their innate powers. 465
- Even heavily injured Grand Dao-realm Evil Clan members remain overwhelming threats to Heavenly Dao-realm cultivators. 458 474
- Grand Dao Supreme members can damage or break powerful killing formations through direct force. 451
Relationships
- Chaos World — Absolute mortal enemy; the two sides are naturally incompatible and cannot form alliances, truces, or meaningful cooperation. 403 428
- Pangu — A principal Taboo-level opponent who has destroyed Evil Clan operations and clashed with the Corruption Saint Lord. 410 428
- Hongxuan — A major enemy who trapped and killed numerous Evil Clan experts, including one hundred Grand Dao Supremes during the Primordial World invasion. 410 463 465
- Angel Clan — A Chaos World force with established countermeasures against Evil Clan members and a record of joining campaigns to eliminate them. 384 454
- Chaos Gods and Demons — Long-standing opponents who cooperate with other Chaos World forces against Evil Clan incursions. 455 463
Trivia
- Evil Clan members refer to themselves as the Holy Clan, while Chaos World beings commonly call them the Evil Clans or Evil Races. 384 458
- The Corruption Clan's known Heavenly Dao-realm member had a body resembling a mixture of cockroach, earthworm, and mite. 364
- Although the seven clans compete internally, attempts by the Chaos World to exploit these rivalries have repeatedly failed because the Saint Lords force reconciliation. 438
