Background / History

Rebirth and the Jun Clan

Jun Wudao was originally an office worker on Blue Star. After being struck on the head by heavenly lightning, he awoke as an unborn child in another world. His birth was accompanied by auspicious clouds and radiant colors extending thirty thousand li around the Jun Clan 1.

The Jun Clan was one of the Desolate Domain’s five pinnacle powers. His exceptional cultivation attracted numerous marriage proposals, and his family arranged his engagement to Jiang Xueyi, the Star Divine Sect’s divine maiden 1.

Wedding Incident and Clan Destruction

On their wedding day, Jiang Xueyi declared her love for Su Fan and left with him, publicly humiliating Jun Wudao and his clan. The Jun Clan repeatedly pursued Su Fan, suffering mounting losses as he escaped and grew stronger. Recognizing the pattern of a “son of fortune,” Jun Wudao eventually sought the intervention of his clan’s middle-stage Divine Soul Realm ancestor 1 10.

The ancestor also failed to kill Su Fan. After reaching early Divine Power Realm, Su Fan attacked the Jun Clan and exterminated it in a three-day battle. He pierced Jun Wudao’s chest with a sword; at the moment of death, Jun Wudao realized that he had been a minor villain serving as a stepping stone in someone else’s rise 1.

The True Self System activated amid the aftermath. Grieving his family, Jun Wudao swore to repay Su Fan’s actions a thousandfold and ten thousandfold 1 2.

Appearance

• Build and features: A slender young man with handsome, cold features and dark, deeply unsettling eyes 6 23.

• Bearing: His gaze and presence inspire fear even independently of his cultivation level 12.

Personality

Jun Wudao’s attachment to his family remains visible beneath his later indifference. He apologizes to the dead for using the resources produced by their destruction, orders their burial, and kneels before their graves. Memories of their affection continue to haunt him after his transformation 2 3 17.

His revenge extends beyond Su Fan to Jiang Xueyi and the factions behind them. He regards mercy toward enemies as cruelty toward himself and watches entire populations die without remorse. Eventually, slaughter becomes more than retaliation: he accepts it as a means to gain strength, longevity, and control over his own destiny 8 20 37 38.

Despite his brutality, he is not consistently reckless. He considers the danger of attracting the Bright Moon Divine Dynasty, investigates Su Fan’s apparent hidden protector, and keeps the Asuras available when an opponent’s strength is uncertain. His confidence increasingly rests on rapid system-assisted growth and the supreme existence associated with the tenth seal 9 10 26 27 44.

True Self System

A system bound to Jun Wudao after his fatal defeat, providing resources, information, cultivation upgrades, and sealed followers 1 2.

• Resource absorption: Converts the Breath of Origin and Breath of Nirvana left by destruction into Origin Points and Annihilation Points 8 13.
• Technique upgrades: Uses accumulated points to improve his forbidden canons and rapidly raise his cultivation 4 17 31 32.
• Sealed forces: His first unsealing opportunity released the million Asuras. Further layers contain additional powerful figures 2 9.
• Concealment: Helps conceal him from heaven’s perception. The system also attributes his earlier lack of detection to his death within heaven and earth and his presence inside a forbidden zone 31.

True Self Eternal Forbidden Canon

A forbidden-grade cultivation method directed toward severing karma, escaping heaven and earth’s constraints, and establishing an eternal true self. Its ultimate promises are goals of the technique, not abilities Jun Wudao has fully attained 4.

• Blood of the True Self: His transformed blood has no karmic connection to heaven and earth. Immediately after Blood Severing, he cannot sense it because the rest of his body has not undergone the same transcendence 5.
• True Self Blood Sea: Releases his True Self blood qi to turn Feng Jue’s Star Domain into a blood sea and collapse it 29.
• True Self Physique: Reaches minor attainment when the canon’s first level is perfected 32.
• True Self Power: Replaces ordinary spiritual power with a dusk-colored force. Its manifestation turns the area within thirty feet of him into an unknown region seemingly severed from time and space 32.

Heaven-Battling Forbidden Canon

A forbidden-grade combat method intended to forge a battle body, cultivate a battle soul, and ultimately challenge heaven itself 4.

• Expanded foundation: Opens 365 meridians, thirteen apertures, and ten soul palaces at first-layer perfection 4.
• Soul development: At second-level peak, three figures within his soul palaces solidify into souls bearing his own face 32.
• Cross-realm combat: His rebuilt foundation and forbidden techniques allow him to overwhelm opponents above his nominal cultivation realm, including Fire Cloud Main City’s Divine Body Realm experts while he remains at Soul Infant Realm perfection 11 12 13.

Annihilation of the Ten Directions

A slaughtering divine ability associated with the Heaven-Battling Forbidden Canon 10 12.

• Manifests ten enormous dark soul palaces and their phantoms 12.
• Releases ten rays of darkness that overwhelm City Lord Pokong and three elders before annihilating Fire Cloud Main City 13.
• Uses the ten phantoms to surround and seal off the Star Divine Sect 25.

Physical Combat and Movement

• Spatial destruction: Crushes space with a casual, unpowered clench after reaching perfected Divine Body Realm 17.
• Colossal black hand: Manifests a vast hand entwined with nether dragons, shattering the Star Divine Sect’s protective formation in one strike despite its reputation for briefly resisting Human God Realm experts 20 21.
• High-speed movement: Appears behind Blood Soul and Purple Light without the assembled sect cultivators seeing him move 22 23.
• Close combat: Kills Blood Soul by crushing his neck and grievously injures Jiang Xiaotian and Daoist Yinyang with kicks 23 24.

• Jun Clan — His destroyed family and the original focus of his revenge. He has the Asuras bury the dead, then kneels and kowtows three times before their graves 1 2 3.
• Su Fan — Mortal enemy and the son of fortune responsible for destroying the Jun Clan. Jun Wudao suspects that a powerful soul-form mentor explains Su Fan’s sudden surges in combat strength 1 9 10.
• Jiang Xueyi — Former fiancée. He blames her wedding-day departure with Su Fan for the humiliation and conflict that culminated in his clan’s destruction 1 10.

• Feng Jue — The Star Divine Sect’s supreme elder. Jun Wudao fights him, destroys his Star Domain, and leaves him grievously wounded 27 29.
• Fu Guiming — Young local guide and host in Heavenly Moon Commandery City. Jun Wudao hires him through the Heavenly Pride Battle, tasks him with gathering news, and later threatens his safety to compel Mu Yunxi’s cooperation 37 43 48.
• Mu Yunxi — Fu Guiming’s mother. Initially mistakes Jun Wudao and his Asura companion for pursuers; he later coerces her into answering questions about the Central Imperial Court and the divine dynasties 44 45 48 49 50.

Founding Nine Nether

• Receives both forbidden canons, the Nine Nether Rebirth Boat, and an unsealing opportunity from the beginner gift pack 2.

Retaliation Against Storm City

• Arrives above Su Fan’s hometown and introduces himself to Su Changqing as Su Fan’s “old friend,” claiming to bring a grand gift 6.
