Background / History

Academy and Team 7

Naruto grows up without his parents and faces hostility from villagers because the Nine-Tails is sealed inside him. After failing the Academy graduation examination again, he sits apart from the successful students and their families. Hongshi joins him, and the two exchange jokes about their failures before going to eat 2 115 207.

Mizuki tricks Naruto and Hongshi into taking the Scroll of Seals. During the confrontation that follows, Mizuki reveals Naruto’s connection to the Nine-Tails and calls him a sinner, while Hongshi calls him a hero. Naruto defeats Mizuki with the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique and becomes a genin 3.

He is assigned to Team 7 with Sasuke and Sakura, with Hongshi joining temporarily under Kakashi. Naruto initially charges into the survival exercise without coordinating with anyone, but Hongshi brings the students together sufficiently for the entire team to pass 4 5 6.

Land of Waves and Chunin Exams

Sasuke’s Pursuit and the Sound Campaign

During the campaign against the Sound Ninja, Naruto debuts Flying Thunder God: Forty Consecutive Strikes. After Konoha’s victory, Hongshi forces him and Gyokucha to battle fifty reincarnated enemies until their Adamantine Sealing Chains awaken. Family Reunion and Later Training
