Background / History
Life in the Divine Realm
Tang Wutong grew up cherished by Tang San and Xiao Wu. Raised on stories of their adventures, she regarded her father as a righteous hero and her parents’ relationship as pure love. She was also taught that Spirit Hall was evil, shaping her hostility toward Qian Renxue 2 6 9 21.
Her privileged upbringing left her unfamiliar with ordinary Soul Masters’ financial difficulties. Although she knew about her era’s communication and transportation Soul Tools, she had little understanding of lower-realm subsidies or access to Martial Soul awakening. Before transmigrating, she had been planning to sneak down to Douluo Star, which sounded more exciting than the Divine Realm 3 17 26.
Transmigration and the Sky Screen
Tang Wutong arrived in Lin Hao’s home alongside Qian Renxue and Gu Yuena. All three had passed through spatial rifts and could no longer use their powers. A Sky Screen broadcast their encounter across multiple Douluo timelines, allowing Tang San and Xiao Wu to recognize their missing daughter 1.
After identifying Qian Renxue as her father’s former enemy, Tang Wutong proudly listed Tang San’s divine titles and accomplishments. Lin Hao initially mistook the women for cosplayers, but his system confirmed that they were real 2.
Lin Hao then showed them the Douluo Continent animation and explained that their world existed as a novel and adaptation. Tang Wutong initially rejected the claim, though by their later conversation she believed it about eighty percent 3 26.
Reassessment of Her Family and Shrek
Tang Wutong first interpreted Tang San’s past-life death as proof of loyalty to the Tang Sect and cried over his sacrifice. Her confidence faltered when Lin Hao described his rebirth as possession and the animation showed the young Tang San caring for a drunken Tang Hao. Embarrassed, she tried unsuccessfully to stop the others from watching 3 4.
She continued defending her family but became openly angry when Yu Xiaogang asked Tang San to test an unproven Soul Ring theory. Her criticism extended to Tang San himself for trusting him. Later footage of Dai Mubai breaking Blue Silver Entanglement further undermined her opinion of Yu Xiaogang’s teaching 15 19.
Her faith in Shrek Academy was similarly challenged. She initially defended its admissions rules and reputation, but eventually found Lin Hao’s criticism of its fees, fabricated graduate claims, and treatment of students convincing 19 20 21 24.
The discussion of Spirit Hall’s former subsidies also unsettled her. Unable to explain why basic support had declined after her father’s ascension, she resolved to ask Tang San to communicate with the lower realm, assuming he had been misled 17.
Revelations About Her Intended Future
Lin Hao revealed Tang Wutong’s concealed third Martial Soul, then warned that Tang San would seal her Divine Realm memories and send her to Shrek Academy disguised as a boy named Wang Dong. He also claimed that her father would eventually turn her into a “patchwork monster,” without yet explaining the process 26.
He subsequently identified Huo Yuhao as the intended roommate: Douluo Star’s son of destiny. According to Lin Hao, the disguise and sealed memories would create opportunities for closeness that her ordinary enrollment as a girl—and her existing arrogance—would prevent. Tang Wutong was shaken but refused to accept that her father would manipulate her for this purpose. These arrangements remain predictions rather than events she has personally experienced 27.
Appearance
- Blue hair, noted during Lin Hao’s initial attempt to identify her 2.
- Frequently folds her arms, raises her chin, or plants her hands on her hips when asserting herself 1 12 17.
Personality
Tang Wutong is proud, outspoken, and quick-tempered. She openly insists on her right to be arrogant and often responds to teasing with threats or indignation. Her protectiveness toward Tang San and Tang Hao makes criticism of her family a frequent trigger for arguments 3 5 7 16.
Her confidence coexists with considerable innocence. She initially fails to understand Oscar’s suggestive incantation and needs Qian Renxue to explain it. Lin Hao considers her overprotected, while Gu Yuena can divert her questions with little effort 23 26.
She is nevertheless capable of revising her judgments. She recognizes Lin Hao’s habit of introducing embarrassing scenes as “iconic,” criticizes her father’s misplaced trust in Yu Xiaogang, and eventually accepts the force of the arguments against early Shrek Academy 11 15 24.
Abilities & Skills

- Reduced to a mortal condition, she experiences hunger and must rely on ordinary food 6.

- Tang Hao — Grandfather. She excuses his despondency and celebrates footage of him secretly protecting Tang San 5 15 25 26.
- Lin Hao — Modern-world host and source of revelations about her world. His mockery repeatedly angers her, and her emotional reactions generate points for his system 3 4 7 27.
- Qian Renxue — Fellow transmigrator and frequent rival. Their arguments center on their families, Spirit Hall, and Shrek; Qian Renxue nevertheless admits envying Tang Wutong’s loving upbringing 6 16 17 26.
- Gu Yuena — Fellow transmigrator who restrains her confrontation with Lin Hao and stresses their dependence on his help. Tang Wutong later suspects that she is a powerful Soul Beast in human form 7 26.
