Story Role / Major Arcs
Confrontation with Yan Buhui
Yan Buhui identifies the flame-wreathed deity as the First-Level Fire God, recognizing that his flames surpass those of the Phoenix God and Vermilion Bird God. Rather than seeking to inherit the Fire God’s divine position, Yan Buhui intends to kill him. The Fire God offers to accept him as a subordinate, but Yan Buhui bluntly refuses 167 168.
Their confrontation becomes a contest of flame techniques. The Fire God unleashes Lie Yan Burns the Heavens, but Yan Buhui defeats him with his superior flames and challenges his allegiance to the Asura God King 169 170.
Death and Aftermath
The Fire God refuses to betray Asura despite Yan Buhui’s demands. Yan Buhui kills him and absorbs his power, adding it to the powers already taken from the Phoenix God and Vermilion Bird God 171.
His death prompts the Water God to confront Yan Buhui in revenge. During their battle, she recognizes her husband’s familiar flame power in Yan Buhui’s attacks 172 173.
