Shen Hui contacted the Star-Devouring Behemoth from inside its stomach and negotiated to regain control of his Death World and decide who would be left behind. The Behemoth agreed to leave him the blank Star Cores it could extract, and six Star Cores arrived from other Creation Worlds.

• Shen Hui found Ye Long, Huang Lingheng, Leng Zimeng, and the others among the unconscious people, while 682 and Raven proved able to move in the Behemoth’s stomach.
• The Transcendent’s mark let Shen Hui understand the Star-Devouring Behemoth, which restored his connection to the Death World and told him the Transcendents had gone to another space.
• Shen Hui told the Behemoth not to absorb the Creation Worlds yet and chose which people and factions would remain trapped, including members of Purple Maple who had incited an attack on his world.

• Chi Yan confirmed that Shen Hui had joined the Night Organization willingly and promised to protect him from the organizations he had offended at the underground auction.
• Chi Yan told Shen Hui that seven Star Cores, including his, had vanished when the Star-Devouring Behemoth swallowed people, and asked him about World Wanderers and the cultists.
• Chi Yan told Shen Hui that the Starry Sky Leaderboard might assign him a mission to investigate suspected Laughing Moon Cult hideouts, and warned that others might covet his Creation World because it could nurture a god.

Shen Hui forced a blank Star Core into the Death World, strengthening its foundations and making it harder for unknown creatures to invade. He then discovered that the Backrooms World could absorb Star Cores easily and left it with three, eager to see how much it had changed.

• Shen Hui forcibly fused a blank Star Core with the Death World's existing Star Core, enduring a violent quake and cracks in space until the world absorbed it.
• The Death World's will reshaped the blank Star Core, strengthening its laws and foundations, and Shen Hui concluded that this feat could not be replicated by ordinary Creation Worlds.
• Shen Hui considered the Backrooms World, a subsidiary world with its own rules but no Star Core or World Will, and decided to give it a Star Core.

Shen Hui created Levels 4 through 8 of the Backrooms World, adding dangerous environments and connecting some levels to places in the Death World. The chapter left the new routes to the Sea of Death and the Mountains of Madness open as possible escapes into the territories of the Deep Ones and Elder Things.

• Level 4 formed as a relatively safe office building stocked with Almond Water, and Level 5 formed as the Terror Hotel, home to Deathmoths and unsettling sensory effects.

Shen Hui completed Level 9, The Suburbs, finishing the Backrooms World’s first ten basic levels and helping the Death World ascend to Level 7. Afterward, he accelerated time and surveyed the Death World’s growing cults, Magic Energy contamination, and divided ratmen.

• Shen Hui completed The Suburbs, a dark level populated by Neighborhood Watch variants and The Beast of Level 9.
• The completed Backrooms World developed the framework for independent growth, and the Death World ascended to Level 7, receiving 10,000 World Origin Power.

• The father took his son fishing, explaining that stronger winds and waves and the approaching Great Ruin made it important to stock up before seeking shelter in the Esoteric Order of Dagon's church.
• The father and son caught a large haul, but dark clouds and thickening fog forced them to stop and wait when the father lost his bearings.
• A fierce wind and towering waves battered their boat, so the father started the Magic Energy engine and tried to steer them through the storm.
• A huge wave nearly capsized the boat, and the injured father embraced his terrified son and prayed for their survival.

• The Foundation discovered that 096 attacked anyone who saw its face, contained it, and planned a joint experiment with 173.
• Shen Hui withdrew from the Death World and learned from Leng Zimeng that the Night Organization wanted him to return and share clues about those who had targeted him.

Shen Hui learned that the Giant God Cult planned to use the World Association against the Laughing Moon Cult, then was confronted by three Bright Night Organization preselected candidates who wanted to eliminate him from the Lord of Night contest. When they refused to back down, Shen Hui entered Creator Form and began changing the space around them with the power of the Death World.

• The enforcer revealed that the Giant God Cult's high priest and holy son had attended the underground auction, and said the cult would use the World Association to attack the Laughing Moon Cult.
• Shen Hui realized the Giant God Cult had leaked information about the Laughing Moon Cult to the World Association, then left the meeting and walked home.
• Three Bright Night Organization preselected candidates confronted Shen Hui and said they intended to remove him from the Lord of Night contest.
• Shen Hui said he was not interested in the position and told them to target Huang Lingheng or other Red Night Organization candidates, but they refused to let him leave.

Shen Hui was trapped in a card duel when You Teng used the Magic Card World to suppress, rather than erase, Shen Hui's Death World. The three Bright Night Organization members faced him under special rules, but Shen Hui's deck was unexpectedly enormous as the duel began.

• Shen Hui expanded his Death World around the three opponents, overwhelming them with its pressure and preventing them from summoning their Creation Worlds.
• One opponent revealed the Magic Card World, which overlaid and suppressed Shen Hui's Death World and restored the three opponents' composure.
• You Teng identified himself as a member of the Bright Night Organization and challenged Shen Hui to a three-on-one card duel governed by the Magic Card World's rules.
• The duel rules turned each Creator's units and world features into cards, assigned each side 500 health, and gave Shen Hui an extra draw each turn.
• The opponents saw that Shen Hui's deck was nearly as large as all three of theirs combined, and the duel began with both sides drawing cards.

Shen Hui defended against three opponents by summoning the Pig-headed Butcher, then placed the Domain of Emotions and transformed the Butcher to withstand their attacks. As the second round began with Shen Hui on offense, he drew Mist of Lost Direction and a card that let him draw two more.

• An opponent summoned Humanoid Mecha-Pterosaur-04T and attacked Shen Hui's Pig-headed Butcher with missiles, badly injuring it.
• Shen Hui placed the Domain of Emotions and transformed the Pig-headed Butcher into a Demon Pig, restoring some of its injuries.
• Kaxiu attacked with amplified flames, but the transformed Pig-headed Butcher endured them while several Demon Pig followers died.
• You Teng boosted all allied units' attack power by ten percent, then Shen Hui ended his turn and the first round concluded.
• At the start of the second round, Shen Hui drew Mist of Lost Direction and a support card that granted two more draws, then activated the mist field.

Shen Hui used Tomie’s multiplying charm to overwhelm his opponents, but they played Great Dimensional Transfer to remove her from the field for two rounds. With Tomie gone and only SCP-173 visible, the opponents prepared to attack.

• Shen Hui drew Sea of Death and Tomie, then summoned Tomie and SCP-173.
• An opponent equipped a Pterosaur with a Core Separation Device and used its explosion to destroy the Pig-headed Butcher and the other attackers, but Tomie’s remains multiplied into dozens of copies.

Shen Hui used trait cards to weaken and frighten his opponents’ units, while 173 and the Pig-headed Butcher killed the attackers. You Teng then erased every card on the field, but Shen Hui drew two cards and began his next turn by activating Sea of Death.

• Shen Hui repaired the Pterosaur and equipped it with the Annihilation Cannon, then used Decay, Vitality, and Distortion and Unspeakable during his defense preparation turn.

• Darkness enveloped the two men, and as their sanity declined, they encountered You Teng in a deeper layer of the unknown world.
• The darkness spread silently across roads, buildings, people, and the sky while the city remained unaware.
• You Teng told the two men to listen, and they heard footsteps and saw newly swallowed people approaching through the darkness.

• Chi Yan saw the darkness swallowing parts of the city, ordered an evacuation, and contacted World Association headquarters for help.
• The Water District's major families and factions began evacuating after learning that the World Association had no explanation for the darkness.
• The High Priestess sensed that the darkness resisted Giant God Power and warned the Enforcer to flee, calling it a power on the level of the great Titan God.

Feng Qingming recognized the all-consuming darkness as resembling the miracle he had experienced when his Creation World collapsed during an attempt to imprison deities. In the darkness, You Teng’s companions and their growing crowd finally perceived a colorful sea and found You Teng staring at the stars.

• Feng Qingming told Zhuge Zhaixing and Zhuge Hongjing that the darkness recalled the deity-related miracle he had once witnessed.
• Feng Qingming explained that his experiment to summon and imprison deities had corrupted his Creation World and left him crippled.
• Zhuge Zhaixing said humanity’s plan was not ready and that they were testing potential Creation Worlds before using the unusual world belonging to a certain young man.
