Origin and Capture
Xiao Lu originated as a sapling born from the Destruction Condensate, the God of Destruction’s true form. The two came into being together like twins. She regarded him as her elder brother, called him Xiao Zi, and had not become his wife when the story began 2.
After the Dragon God’s fall, Gu Yue identified Xiao Lu as the strongest surviving deity of the law of life and seized her to treat the Silver Dragon King’s fatal Asura Sword wound. Gu Yue uprooted the Ancient Tree of Life and escaped with both into ancient Douluo Continent. The God of Destruction and Asura God diverted their pursuing attacks rather than risk killing her 1.
Within a concealed space beneath a lake, Gu Yue coerced her into providing treatment by threatening her reputation, her true form, and Xiao Zi. Her Life Divine Power stopped the wound from worsening, but the treatment nearly emptied her remaining reserves 2.
Captivity in the Ancient Era
Gu Yuena later imposed a restriction that lowered Xiao Lu’s cultivation below God Level and cut off her connection to her tree. Gu Yue also exposed her attempt to feign unconsciousness and forced her to acknowledge him as her lord 37.
Xiao Lu was assigned to research restoring Ah Yin’s Blue Silver Emperor form. She agreed to investigate, while warning that the work could take considerable time 37 38.
Over the following thousand years, she helped Gu Yue, Ah Yin, and little Gu Yuena adapt educational materials for Douluo Continent. Together, the four formed Star Dou Publishing House and produced introductory science and humanities texts alongside fiction 39.
Her resentment erupted when Gu Yue burned a romance she had written, condemning its heroine for betraying her people’s defenses for love. Xiao Lu attacked him, but he immediately dispersed her divine power through the restriction and punished her. Afterward, she secretly destroyed her remaining unfinished stories 39 40.
Later Work
Before leaving through the Time-Reversal Trajectory, Gu Yue instructed Xiao Lu and Gu Yuena to establish a small plane for intelligent beast tribes and teach them from the compiled textbooks. On his subsequent visit to the later era, he discovered that the plane had never been opened; unfulfilled instructions alone had not changed the timeline 42 44.
Xiao Lu nevertheless cared for Ah Yin after she sacrificed her cultivation and became a Seed of Life, enabling her rebirth 44. Gu Yue later borrowed Xiao Lu’s divine power to age a dark-attribute Lone Bamboo into a ten-thousand-year Soul Beast, and enlisted her in developing and perfecting a small plane 69 86 107.

Her compliance does not erase her resentment. She feigns unconsciousness, protests mistreatment, and eventually openly rebels when Gu Yue destroys her writing. Her devotion to romance fiction becomes a particular source of conflict with his insistence that loyalty to one’s people must come before romantic attachment 37 39 40.
