Lin Yu came from Earth and appeared in the mountains as a fair-skinned child. Unable to explain his origins, he claimed to have fled disaster and human traffickers. Uncle Nine remained suspicious but found no demonic Qi and brought him back to the mortuary rather than abandon him. Lin Yu repeatedly requested an apprenticeship until Uncle Nine accepted him 3.

His formal apprenticeship activated an invitation to the chat group. Through its leader, Su Xiaoxiao, he learned that his master was the Uncle Nine of Mr. Vampire and obtained the film’s plot. He concealed his own transmigrator identity, reasoning that a shared origin did not guarantee another transmigrator’s goodwill 1 2.
