Drunk (III)
When Koki returned to the living room, she was presented with two completely different scenes.
Although Kakashi was drunk, he still sat obediently on the sofa, staring blankly at the door as if waiting for something. Koki didn't know how he got from the dining table to the sofa.
Obito, on the other hand, was completely absorbed in his own world. He was quite drunk, constantly chuckling to himself and occasionally singing songs that were incomprehensible.
Koki couldn't help but laugh at Obito's goofy appearance.
"Kakashi, are you alright?" Koki was the first to walk over to the sofa and sit down, asking with a hint of concern in her voice.
Kakashi's eyes were moist, and his bright, earnest gaze shone like the brightest stars in the night sky. "It's nothing, I'm fine, I just... I miss you a little."
Huh? Missing him? Why? Koki couldn't understand for a moment. Did Kakashi want to go back to sleep?
"Sorry, I was just wiping Shisui's face, which took a little time. Are you able to walk now? Let me help you back to your room to sleep."
He pondered for a moment, "I wonder if the furniture has been delivered yet? It should have arrived by now. You'll have to make do for the night, Kakashi."
This series of questions seemed to catch Kakashi off guard; he sat there silently, without uttering a word.
Koki thought he was drunk and couldn't understand, so he got up and walked in front of Kakashi, intending to help him up. But before he could even extend his hand halfway, Kakashi suddenly grabbed Koki's wrist tightly, stopping him from moving forward.
Koki was taken aback by Kakashi's sudden action and didn't react for a moment. Kakashi frowned slightly and said in a deep voice, "I don't want to."
"Don't want what?" Even though he couldn't see Kakashi's face, Koki could guess from his voice that he was looking very cold. However, Kakashi kept staring at him with a burning gaze.
As if burned by Kakashi's intense gaze, Koki suddenly dared not look him in the eye and turned her head slightly to the side.
Koki didn't hear Kakashi's reply, and Kakashi didn't loosen his grip on his wrist. He sighed softly, "Don't want what? Don't want me to help you up? Don't want to go to your room to sleep?"
I wonder where Kakashi got his taciturn nature from? It's like he's charging money for saying even a few extra words. Even Uncle Sakumo wasn't this cold.
"I don't want to." Kakashi finally took pity on him and uttered those three words.
Koki wasn't having it. He frowned, looked Kakashi straight in the eyes, and said, "No way. I think you've had too much to drink. Get up, I'll help you to your room to rest. We still need to help Obito-nii later. And then Obito-nii will... Ah!"
When Kakashi heard Koki mention Obito's name, he felt a surge of inexplicable anger. Before Koki could finish speaking, Kakashi grabbed his hand and pulled him forcefully into his arms.
Koki off guard, Mitsuki vaguely heard Kakashi's heart beating very fast, as if it were about to jump out of his chest.
"What are you doing? Let me go!" Koki was in great pain, but Kakashi stood like a steadfast tree, protecting him and preventing him from moving.
"Don't move." Kakashi's deep, resonant voice rang in Koki's ears, causing him to involuntarily stop struggling.
Kakashi's heart pounded like a drum. He couldn't look Koki in the eye, so he lowered his head and said in a trembling voice, "I just want to hug you, please don't push me away, okay?"
"Okay." Koki stopped moving obediently upon hearing this voice, wondering what was wrong with Kakashi. Had he been drunk and remembered something sad?
He gently stroked Kakashi's hair, trying to calm him down.
Why is he acting all wronged when he clearly pulled her into his arms and startled her? Koki was completely baffled.
Koki's gentleness made Kakashi's body tremble slightly. He didn't know how to deal with this situation. He didn't know why, but every time he was with Koki, he felt that the barren grassland in his heart was blooming with beautiful little flowers because of him.
Time ticked by, and Kakashi's body grew increasingly stiff.
"Obito-nii is still waiting for me. I'm afraid he'll catch a cold if he falls asleep, so I need to help him into the room quickly." Koki tried to remind Kakashi, hoping he would let go of her.
"I know." Kakashi's voice was still deep, but with a hint of gentleness and shyness. "But... but I'm happy just being with you."
After saying that, Kakashi frowned in annoyance.
Koki was puzzled and didn't know how to respond to Kakashi.
What did Kakashi mean by that? For the first time, Koki was genuinely puzzled.
Before he could think it through, Kakashi's voice came from beside him, "Let's go."
"Okay." Koki carefully got off Kakashi, and Kakashi also stood up, his eyes seeming to clear up a bit.
"Are you feeling better now? Can you go back by yourself?" Koki asked with concern.
There's also Obito here. If Kakashi can go back to his room on his own, that would be perfect.
Upon hearing this, Kakashi frowned and immediately feigned discomfort. "Koki, I... I have a bit of a headache."
"Headache? This won't do. I'll get you a cup of hot water and some medicine." Koki heard Kakashi say this, she couldn't help but feel worried. A headache was no small matter.
"It's alright, no need for that." Kakashi shook his head, then added, "Come with me to my room, I don't know where I'll be staying yet."
Koki slapped his forehead, suddenly realizing something, as if he'd just remembered something. "Oh right, I forgot about that. Come on, I'll take you to your room." He walked ahead, then suddenly turned back to Kakashi and asked, "Do you need me to help you?"
"No need, I can walk by myself."
"Good."
Koki felt like she was worrying more and more every Tenten.
Kakashi watched Koki walk forward, a smile involuntarily creeping onto his lips.
When the two arrived at Kakashi's room, Koki quietly pushed open Kakashi door. As Kakashi stepped inside, Koki followed closely behind and quietly closed the door.
