Background

Lin Shen was an ordinary office worker from Earth before transmigrating to the Primordial World. He awakened in the body of an infant Ginseng Spirit, with a single ginseng leaf growing from his head, and was discovered by Taishang Laojun, Yuanshi Tianzun, and Tongtian Jiaozhu 1.

The Three Pure Ones recognized his pure Origin Qi and unprecedented status as a transformed Innate Spiritual Root. They accepted him as their disciple, named him Lin Shen, and raised him on Kunlun Mountain in a palace built near their own residences 2.

After Lin Shen’s touch pushed Duobao Daoist through a long-standing bottleneck, the Three Pure Ones concluded that his Origin Qi could directly bypass cultivation barriers. They concealed his existence, placed nine layers of restrictions around his palace, and began cautiously studying the limits of his abilities 3 4 5.
