Attainment
Sagehood is associated with Primordial Violet Qi, described as the foundation of the Great Dao and the root of a Sage. Hongjun initially offers a wisp of it to Lin Shen as a gift 31.
At Zixiao Palace, Hongjun reveals six Sage seats. Sitting on one offers an opportunity to become a Sage, provoking a battle among the three thousand great powers 61 62.

Heavenly Dao Sagehood carries a severe cost. Hongjun states that those who refine the original Primordial Violet Qi become Heavenly Dao agents obligated to maintain its operation, sacrificing their individuality and freedom 112.
