Arc 88The Qixing Kingdom Takes Shape

Velin escaped the collapsing time-loop trial, uncovered more about his past, and returned to Qixing Territory to strengthen its government and military. He recruited new allies, explored an ancient ruin, and prepared to establish his kingdom as Legendary Experts gathered in Okla City.

  • Velin defeated the Time-Space Dragon, escaped the collapsing Outer Dimension with Kyle, Celeste, and Duke Moravia, and brought the Floating City to Ailadan Village.
  • Velin learned from the murals and the Blood Knight about his connection to the black-haired youth, Elder Brother, and the Lights of Rules, then traveled toward Qixing Territory.
  • Velin toured Baimu Province and Treya Province, recruited Bulin, and inspected the new administrative system before expanding the Inspectorate’s authority.
  • Velin reorganized the kingdom’s territories and forces, honored fallen soldiers with noble titles and heirs, and waited for the final Legend needed to found his kingdom.

  • Velin explored an underwater ruin with Kyle and Lucas, found a chained demon and a True Name-seeking mirror, and gave the mirror to Lucas.
  • Velin tested a blue orb on summoned demons and trained four swordsmen with purified blood energy, while also arranging to learn how the Church of the God of Song and Art produced its operas.
  • Velin recruited Lance to hunt Holy Blood Church remnants, welcomed Leonus into the Qixing Army, and summoned eight Legendary Experts to prepare for the kingdom’s founding.
Chapters 2182–2206 Vol. 22 Read

Ch. 2182Colossal Beast

Velin, Kyle, Celeste, and Duke Moravia reached the next trial in the River of Time, where a Time-Space Dragon challenged them to battle. Velin realized the dragon was the incomplete consciousness in his Godhead, and he drew the Black Spear as the dragon prepared to fight the weapon that had killed its true body.

  • Velin arrived on the island and learned how much time remained for him and the others.
  • A Time-Space Dragon emerged from a gateway and revealed that it had created the time-loop trial before announcing a battle trial.
  • The Time-Space Dragon grew into a colossal beast, and Velin, Kyle, Celeste, and Duke Moravia fought it with their full strength.
  • The beast focused its attacks on Velin, who realized it was the incomplete consciousness residing within his Godhead.
  • Velin drew the Black Spear, sending Kyle, Celeste, and Duke Moravia flying away as the beast recognized the weapon that had killed its true body.

Ch. 2183Died Too Quickly

Velin defeated the Time-Space Dragon and discovered that the collapsing Outer Dimension held the unfinished Floating City he had come to claim. As the group raced to salvage treasures and escape, Velin faced the problem of moving the enormous city through a gate that admitted only one person at a time.

  • Velin shattered the Time-Space Dragon’s attacks with the Black Spear, then killed it with a blood blade after it unleashed the Outer Dimension’s origin power.
  • Velin found a doorway and led Kyle, Celeste, and Moravia through it as the Outer Dimension began to collapse and their remaining time dwindled.
  • Velin used vines to drag the thirty-kilometer Floating City toward the center of the space while Kyle gathered valuables, Moravia collected books, and Celeste retrieved puppets and rare plants.
  • A Time-Space Gate appeared, but Velin realized he could not take the Floating City through without his Demiplane or Druid’s Book.
  • Moravia gave Velin a massive stone with an immense internal space, and Velin examined it.

Ch. 2184Large Floating City

Velin recovered a damaged Floating City and planned to make it the capital of his future nation, while Kyle and Celeste escaped the collapsing Outer Dimension with valuable relics and a weak Godhead. Duke Moravia agreed to repair Velin’s city and give him another Floating City.

  • Velin stored the Floating City in a temporary space and carried it through the Time-Space Gate, while Kyle collected Transcendent-grade plants and retrieved the weak Godhead.
  • Kyle removed 1,325 stone murals from the Time-Space Hall, and Celeste stored them in his Space Equipment before they escaped with Duke Moravia.
  • The Time-Space Gate vanished after the three returned, and the Outer Dimension was swept away to an unknown timeline.
  • Velin released the thirty-kilometer-wide Floating City at the ruins of Ailadan Village and planned its palace and twelve districts.
  • Velin inspected the Floating City’s inactive pools and unfinished mystic lock, then asked Duke Moravia for help establishing it as his capital.
  • Duke Moravia agreed to repair Velin’s Floating City and give him another one, while Kyle and Celeste emerged from the Time-Space Gate.

Ch. 2185Murals

After the group returned to the Cecilia Demiplane, Kyle studied the murals and reconstructed the giant beasts’ ancient history. Velin found murals depicting a black-haired youth like himself and learned from the Blood Knight that the youth was him, leaving him confused about his identity and past.

  • Velin, Kyle, Celeste, and Duke Moravia rested in the Cecilia Demiplane, where each pursued a separate task.
  • Kyle arranged the stone slabs and began interpreting the murals, recording his account of the giant beasts’ enslavement and revolt.
  • Velin joined Kyle and noticed murals showing a black-haired youth whose spear and three avatars resembled his own.
  • At the final mural, Velin summoned the Blood Knight, who confirmed the black-haired youth was Velin and identified the white-haired youth as Elder Brother.
  • The Blood Knight said Elder Brother had forged the Black Spear, and Velin struggled to make sense of how the murals connected to his past.

Ch. 2186Partial Truths

Velin learned more about his past self, the beings who knew his identity, and the Light of Rules that let him draw power from the past. After a month in Ailadan Village, he and the others departed for Qixing Territory.

  • Velin asked the Blood Knight about Elder Brother and learned which powerful beings knew Velin’s identity and how his birth had been arranged.
  • The Blood Knight explained that the Life Knight and Death Knight had sacrificed their Lights of Rules to preserve his autonomy, then gave Velin memories explaining how the Light of Rules worked.
  • Velin learned that the Lights of Rules of the Life Knight and Death Knight would recover when he reached Epic and connected with the past, and resolved to keep cultivating.
  • The Blood Knight returned to Velin’s body, and Velin reunited with Kyle and took the three newly bound books to read beneath the Life Tree.
  • After a month in the space, Velin and the others left Ailadan Village on April 25th, Radiant Calendar 9814, and headed for Qixing Territory in Kadra Province of the Ilia Kingdom.

Ch. 2187Godhead

At Star Moon Fort, Velin and Kyle discussed moving the Gray Mist Space by capturing a descendant of the God of Dreams, then examined a weak Godhead that Kyle identified as the lost Rule of Wood fragment of the Lord of the Earth. The chapter left Velin wary of claiming it after learning the dangers and sacrifices required to master a rule-type authority.

  • Velin met Kyle in his study and said they needed to plan how to move the Gray Mist Space, also known as the Soul Source Space.
  • Velin said the descendant of the God of Dreams would appear in Baimu Province of Qixing West District in three years, and insisted that he would capture the descendant himself.
  • Kyle told Velin that the weak Godhead was likely the missing Rule of Wood fragment once held by the Lord of the Earth.
  • Kyle explained how the Lord of the Earth's Godhead had been divided among the Four Seasons Goddesses and other holders, while the Rule of Wood authority had disappeared.
  • Kyle said that fully mastering a rule-type authority required recognition from the rule and world consciousness, as well as sacrificing a foreign god of the same rule within ten thousand years.
  • Velin pushed the Rule of Wood Godhead away after Kyle explained that failing to meet those conditions could turn its wielder into an incarnation of consciousness.

Ch. 2188Hebrew's Second Offense

Velin returned to First Teleportation Array Island and caught Hebrew reading storybooks while neglecting his duties, then tested him about when he had arrived. Hebrew guessed wrong, and Velin demanded that he hand over every book in his Space Equipment.

  • After leaving Qixing Territory, Velin and his companions traveled back toward the New Continent, planning how to settle Qixing Territory, Zephyrus Territory, and Dawnlight Territory.
  • Hebrew relaxed in the Adventurers' Office, unaware that Velin and the others were approaching First Teleportation Array Island.
  • Velin entered Hebrew's study, became absorbed in Hebrew's storybook, and waited while Hebrew processed two hundred documents.
  • Velin revealed himself and asked Hebrew to guess when he had arrived, offering half a month off for a correct answer and punishment for a wrong one.
  • Hebrew guessed that Velin had arrived half an hour earlier, but Velin declared the answer wrong and ordered him to hand over his books.

Ch. 2189My Good Days Were Over

Velin caught Hebrew reading Adventure Storybooks and ordered him to return with him in three days, but secretly read the confiscated books himself. He brought Hebrew to Baimu Province to live under Orlando’s supervision, where Orlando explained that Hebrew’s mental message had revealed Velin’s return.

  • Velin bluffed Hebrew into confessing that he had read Adventure Storybooks, then ordered him to pack for their departure in three days and threatened to double his punishment for errors in his work.
  • After dismissing Hebrew, Velin secretly read one of the confiscated books, while Celeste joked that Velin was reading them in Hebrew’s study.
  • Velin caught Hebrew emerging from his Demiplane with My Harem Life (III), but let him off with a warning.
  • Three days later, Velin left First Teleportation Array Island with Kyle, Celeste, and Hebrew, leaving the Ice Bear Knights behind until a new Adventurer Office director took office.
  • Velin handed his thirty-kilometer Floating City to his maternal grandfather, then traveled with the others to Baimu Province, where Orlando and officials welcomed them at Luohai Port City.
  • Velin asked how Orlando had learned of his return, and Orlando explained that his mental connection with Hebrew had let Hebrew tell him from thousands of miles away.

Ch. 2190Hidden Genius

Velin inspected Baimu Province with Orlando and discovered Bulin, a talented young painter whose work showed signs of magic. Kyle judged Bulin especially suited to become a Soul Painter, and Velin arranged for him to be trained before hiring him as a guide.

  • Velin assigned Hebrew to Orlando's supervision and told Orlando to make sure Hebrew studied the laws and stopped slacking off.
  • Velin toured Baimu Province with Orlando and visited Lake Mirror Academy, where he learned about its students and military-service requirements.
  • Velin watched Bulin paint a magical forest scene and asked the youth his name.
  • Kyle examined Bulin and said he was even more suited than Bing to the path of a Soul Painter.
  • Velin ordered Bulin to be taken for training, and then offered him a gold coin to serve as his guide.

Ch. 2191Young Is Good

Velin inspected the academy, encouraged a young student to pursue his feelings for a classmate, and then traveled to Treya City to review the results of a year-long government pilot. The chapter left him at the Governor’s Mansion as officials began reporting on the province’s development.

  • Velin accepted a youth’s offer to guide him and asked the youth’s teacher to join them on an academy tour.
  • Velin observed a lesson on the Iron Wall Breathing Technique and heard the instructor encourage students to pursue their futures despite lacking Spellcaster talent.
  • Velin noticed the youth liked the purple-haired girl and urged him to act before he lost his chance.
  • Two months later, Velin traveled with Bulin, Kyle, and Celeste aboard the Star Moon Floating Ship to Treya City to inspect the provincial pilot program.
  • On November 1, 9814 of the Radiant Calendar, a secretary began reporting to Velin and more than a hundred officials on Treya Province’s development under the new official system.

Ch. 2192The success of the new administrative system

Velin reviewed the results of Treya Province’s new administrative system, considered Belder’s reforms, and toured the province before returning to Okla City. He recommitted himself to cultivation so he could face his uncle with his own strength.

  • Belder warned Treya Province’s officials to keep serving diligently, then presented Velin with detailed proposals to improve the administrative system.
  • Velin praised Belder’s work, restored some of his strength with law power, and promised cultivation resources to help him reach intermediate Soul Intent within ten years.
  • Velin and Belder discussed improved recruits, changing public attitudes toward professionals, and rising demand for cultivation resources as Spellcasters developed new crops and livestock.
  • Velin inspected all thirteen counties and eighty-seven districts over two months, saw the benefits of the new system, and resolved to expand the Inspectorate’s authority.
  • Velin returned to Okla City on January 1, 9815, completed his administrative work, and resumed cultivation; Kyle planned resources and training for Belder, while Celeste wrote Novien about the journey.

Ch. 2193Kingdom Regional Division

After the war ended, Angus planned to leave with Elisa, but Velin suspected his father was preparing to escape and arranged to keep him under watch. Velin then planned the division of the kingdom’s territory and imagined how he would eventually hand responsibility to his child.

  • On June 15, 9815, Angus sent the Eastern Expeditionary Army’s report to Okla City and began preparing to flee with Elisa.
  • In early July, Velin read Angus’s detailed report, suspected his father planned to leave, and summoned Kyle.
  • Velin ordered Kyle to monitor Angus with Shadow Assassins and sent Celeste to watch him, then agreed to use his mother’s duties to keep Angus occupied.
  • Velin divided the kingdom’s territory into Qixing West District, Qixing East District, and Qixing South District, allocating provinces among the royal family and nobles.
  • Velin reserved a province for Hebrew once he became a Legend and planned to expand northward later before passing government affairs to his future child.

Ch. 2194The number of nobles to be ennobled

Velin planned the kingdom’s military and finalized the ennoblement of 1,287 people, including arrangements for heirs to fallen soldiers without descendants. Xuemiyya agreed to find orphans to inherit their names, while later developments brought Velin closer to founding his kingdom.

  • Velin outlined a 70-legion Marine Legion and additional mage, knight, and royal guard forces, totaling about 5.2 million troops before local garrisons.
  • Velin reviewed the 1,287 names of people to be ennobled, including 534 who had died in battle, and decided Xuemiyya should arrange heirs for 113 without surviving relatives.
  • Velin completed certificates assigning 13 marquises, 57 counts, 275 viscounts, and 942 barons, then gave Xuemiyya the list of fallen men needing heirs.
  • Xuemiyya agreed to find dependable orphans to carry on the fallen soldiers’ surnames and said she would visit her mother the next day.
  • Three months later, the Qixing South District was established under Belder, and two months after that, a Continental Legend from the Church of Life arrived, leaving one final gap before Velin could found his kingdom.

Ch. 2195The Fleeing Legendary

Duke Moravia captured Lucas, a Fate-path Legendary who had been fleeing the War Church for thirty years, and brought him to his Demiplane. After Lucas revealed his origins and the reason for the pursuit, Duke Moravia offered him two choices.

  • The gray-robed elder and the silver-armored man continued hunting Lucas, who escaped them by fleeing through space and destroying rifts behind him.
  • Duke Moravia spotted Lucas near the Sixth Teleportation Array and caught him after sealing space, then took him and his fairy companion into his Demiplane.
  • The silver-armored man and the gray-robed elder arrived at the scene and suspected that someone had taken Lucas into a Demiplane.
  • Duke Moravia questioned Lucas, who said he came from the Main Continent and had been hunted by the War Church for stealing an item from an ownerless temple.
  • Duke Moravia told Lucas he would give him two choices.

Ch. 2196Reconciliation (Part 1)

Velin traveled to Sixth Teleportation Array Island to mediate the dispute between the White-haired Youth and the War Church, whose two Legends had been detained by Duke Moravia. He entered Moravia’s Demiplane and found the Youth and his fairy calmly playing chess.

  • Duke Moravia offered the White-haired Youth mediation in exchange for a hundred years of service, and the Youth accepted rather than be handed over to the Victory Church.
  • On Sixth Teleportation Array Island, two Legends from the God of War Church realized the space was sealed and waited as their captor kept them confined.
  • Velin received news from his maternal grandfather that a Legend pursued by two Church Legends for thirty years needed mediation, and he decided to go with Kyle.
  • Velin traveled to the island, where Duke Moravia brought them into his Demiplane and showed them the White-haired Youth playing chess with a little fairy.
  • Velin asked Duke Moravia why he had not treated the Youth like a prisoner, and Moravia said he had no time for that.

Ch. 2197Adding Two Hundred Years to the Price

Velin tested the white-haired young man and recruited him and his fairy companion into the Qixing Army in exchange for three hundred years of service and an annual treasure or treasure lead. Meanwhile, a High-rank Gold Knight brought the silver-armored man and the gray-robed young man to meet the Eternal Dawn Knight.

  • Duke Moravia left the Demiplane, and Velin sent Kyle to test the white-haired young man by claiming the God of War Church would trade a Divine Artifact for him.
  • Kyle threatened to kill the white-haired young man, whose fate-law warnings exposed the threat as genuine and led him and the fairy to beg for mercy.
  • The white-haired young man and the fairy explained their abilities, and Velin recruited them into the Qixing Army for three hundred years, requiring one treasure or treasure lead each year.
  • After gathering information about Velin, the white-haired young man abandoned his escape plans and told the fairy they were members of the Qixing Army.
  • A High-rank Gold Knight escorted the silver-armored man and the gray-robed young man to the Supreme Command, where they entered the Eternal Dawn Knight's study.

Ch. 2198Reconciliation (Part 2)

Velin mediated a reconciliation between Kayas and Lucas, who had stolen a Divine Artifact from the War Church, and compensated Kayas and Beneto with cultivation resources. After Lucas returned the artifact, Kayas agreed to a duel with Kyle half a month later.

  • Velin introduced Kyle as his Guardian Knight and apologized to Kayas and Beneto before explaining that he wanted to mediate their dispute with Lucas.
  • Kayas and Beneto accepted Velin’s offer of the stolen Divine Artifact and three legendary items as compensation, and Kayas swore to end the conflict if Lucas returned it.
  • Kayas requested a duel with Kyle, and Velin agreed to hold it half a month later after Kyle nodded.
  • Kyle brought Lucas and his little fairy to the reception, and Lucas returned the Divine Artifact to Kayas.
  • Velin gave Kayas and Beneto additional resources, and Beneto asked to trade his Transcendent resources for Seven-Colored Crystal.

Ch. 2199Encountering Ruins Along the Way

On the return journey to Okla City, Lucas sensed ruins beneath the sea and led Velin and Kyle to a Flowing Light Passage. They entered a ravaged realm filled with Demon bones and flew toward the source of a furious roar.

  • Velin invited Lucas to return to Okla City with him and later set out with Lucas and Kyle aboard the Star Moon Floating Ship.
  • Lucas sensed at least three Semi-Epic Treasures beneath the sea and showed Velin a map to the ruins.
  • Velin and Kyle drove twenty-eight deep-sea octopuses away from the trench, then discovered a Flowing Light Passage below it.
  • Kyle entered the passage first, followed by Velin and Lucas with the little fairy.
  • Velin identified the realm's aura as similar to the Abyssal Lord he had killed, and Kyle suspected an Abyss Demon was ahead.
  • Velin flew toward the roar, and Kyle and Lucas followed him.

Ch. 2200Round Mirror

Velin, Kyle, and Lucas found an imprisoned incarnation of the Abyssal Demon God Azrafael, whose consciousness had endured a billion years in a time-distorted prison. They uncovered a Magic Mirror treasure and gave it to Lucas before setting out to find the next one.

  • Velin, Kyle, and Lucas reached a chained Demon, and Velin chose to leave it imprisoned rather than kill it.
  • Lucas sensed the first treasure’s location, and Kyle read the stele identifying the captive as Azrafael, imprisoned by the Epic Seraph Keller Star-Eyes.
  • Kyle explained that Keller’s corridor space had trapped Azrafael’s consciousness for a billion years, and the group continued searching for treasures.
  • Lucas dug up a round mirror named Eragon, which revealed that it could locate people by their True Names in exchange for Demon souls.
  • Velin gave the Semi-Epic Magic Mirror to Lucas, who stored it and searched for the next treasure.

Ch. 2201The Blue Bead

Velin brought the pale blue bead he found on the expedition to Xuemiyya so they could study how to open it. They went to Kalaya's underground laboratory, where Kalaya said they would need to summon more demons for the experiment.

  • Velin decided the bead might require a demon to open and planned to ask Xuemiyya for test subjects.
  • After returning to Okla City, Velin arranged a manor for Lucas, then went to the Administrative Palace to find Xuemiyya.
  • Velin secretly recorded Kmelia spacing out, while Xuemiyya ordered her to copy a book passage ten thousand times; Velin teased Kmelia about showing the recording to Kalaya.
  • Velin and Xuemiyya traveled to the underground laboratory and asked Kalaya for demons to test the bead.
  • Kalaya said she had used up the succubus and that they would need to summon more demons using death-row prisoners, so Xuemiyya offered to prepare the ritual.

Ch. 2202Experiment

Velin tested the blue orb’s ability to break down demons and learned it was a legendary fragment of an artifact that converted demons into useful materials. He then used purified demonic blood energy on four willing swordsmen, whose strength rose to the threshold of Silver Intermediate.

  • Xuemiyya summoned thirty death-row prisoners to the altar, and a sacrifice opened a portal that released 115 demons into the Demiplane.
  • Velin discovered that the blue orb broke down a Gold Intermediate demon into blood energy, soul power, abyssal power, and bone armor, and learned its origins and limits.
  • Velin had the orb dismantle sixty-eight more demons and combined their blood energy and soul power with materials from the high-rank gold demon.
  • Xuemiyya brought four Low-rank Silver swordsmen, who agreed to test the purified blood energy after Velin promised to protect their lives.
  • The swordsmen absorbed the blood energy through their Breathing Techniques, and Velin used law power to heal their injuries as they reached the threshold of Silver Intermediate.

Ch. 2203Things to Keep in Mind

Velin's training experiment raised four Swordsmen from Low-rank Silver to High-rank Silver, and they earned future posts as officers in the Qixing Legion. After asking Kalaya to develop a potion to protect trainees from blood energy, Velin and Xuemya explored Okla City and decided to visit its new opera house.

  • Velin trained the four Swordsmen with blood-energy clusters until they reached High-rank Silver, then promised to transfer them to the Qixing Legion after half a year.
  • Velin asked Kalaya to create a potion that would prevent blood energy from injuring trainees and offered her the soul-energy clusters and one million Ka Seven-Colored Crystals as payment.
  • The four returned to camp, where their Gold Low-tier Swordsman commander excused them from other duties so they could cultivate before joining the Qixing Legion.
  • Velin and Xuemya walked through Okla City, sampled grilled meat, and learned that priests of the Church of the God of Song and Art had opened an opera house.
  • Velin decided to enter the opera house after Xuemya told him its performances were good.

Ch. 2204The Church of the God of Opera and Art's Opera

Velin and Xuemya watched the Wind Listener opera and questioned Bishop Draven about how the Church of the God of Opera and Art produced it. Velin asked to visit one of the Church’s production worlds and to have his nation’s founding recorded, leaving the latter request pending Archbishop Novien’s return.

  • Velin took Xuemya to see the Wind Listener opera, and they watched its illusion together.
  • After the opera, Xuemya asked the attendant to invite Draven to discuss the Church’s missionary scope.
  • Velin told Draven he wanted to know how the Church filmed and preserved its operas, and Draven explained that they were produced in small worlds led by the Church.
  • Draven said the Wind Listener opera involved ten nations, over a million soldiers, and more than eighty million believers.
  • Velin asked to visit one of the Church’s production worlds, and Draven agreed.
  • Velin asked the Church to record his nation’s founding, and Draven said the archbishop would decide after Madam Novien returned.

Ch. 2205Living Not for God

Velin found Lance, a disillusioned former cleric of the God of Holy Blood, and tested his character in an illusion. Velin offered him a chance to regain purpose by pledging loyalty, leaving Lance to consider the offer.

  • Velin noticed a beggar being ignored by passersby and dragged him into his Demiplane after suspecting he was a cleric of the Church of the God of Holy Blood.
  • Velin revealed himself as Lance’s enemy, but Lance gave up resisting, so Velin cast an illusion to examine his character.
  • In the illusion, Lance protected innocents from evil groups and destroyed Holy Blood Church remnants when he discovered their crimes.
  • Velin concluded Lance had principles and offered him a choice: abandon his faith and pledge loyalty in return for helping screen captured Holy Blood Church members.
  • Velin gave Lance half a month to decide, then left with Xuemya, who asked why he considered Lance special.

Ch. 2206The Left Canon Chief's Letter

Velin arranged for Lance to hunt remnants of the Holy Blood Church, welcomed Leonus after he chose to stay with the Qixing Army, and began preparing for the founding of his kingdom. The chapter ended as eight Legendary Experts gathered for a meeting with Velin and Kyle.

  • Lance pledged allegiance to Velin and chose to lead the hunt for Holy Blood Church remnants across three Qixing districts.
  • Novien returned with a letter from the Left Canon Chief, who left Leonus free to decide whether to stay with Velin.
  • Velin sent Celeste to bring Leonus back, then assigned leaders to reorganize the Qixing Legion, Floating Fleet, Knight Order, Mage Corps, and military parade.
  • Leonus arrived in Okla City and told Velin he wanted to stay; Velin welcomed him into the Qixing Army and held a private banquet in his honor.
  • Velin's Administrative Hall issued orders to the Legendary Experts, and eight of them gathered around a table before Velin arrived with Kyle.
