Arc 53Chen Hai’s Arrival

He-El sent mortal clones into other universes, where they quickly died, then equipped them with systems to help them adapt. Chen Hai awakened in Seattle, gained strength by spending energy from food, and joined forces with Matt, Steve, and Andrew as the Bloody Chariot Gang pursued them.

  • He-El sent a thousand clones through Traversal Vortices, but they died as alien universes resisted their power, so he created adaptable mortal clones and called for a system.
  • Chen Hai awakened in a Seattle alley with a Universal System, learned to use a Colt M1911, and killed four gang members before fleeing wounded.
  • Matt, Steve, and Andrew rescued Chen Hai, treated his wounds, and hid him in a cave, where he recovered by eating and spending Energy Points to strengthen his body.
  • The Bloody Chariot Gang tracked Matt, and Andrew flipped Babulo’s car with telekinesis before the three students took the gang members to Chen Hai’s cave.
  • Chen Hai returned with a pistol as Babulo shot Matt and Andrew, then killed Babulo and the other gang member and promised to deal with the gang.
  • Chen Hai helped Steve treat Matt and Andrew, learned that their telekinetic powers came from a crystal in a cave, and recognized them as the world’s only superpowered people.

Arc 54The Merging Universes

Chen Hai gained telekinesis, seized control of Earth, and completed his Chronicle story before He-El turned to the growing merger of parallel universes. He-El found General Zod and Faora aboard an ancient warship, where Zod revealed that he planned to destroy the universe and that the Monitors were involved.

  • Chen Hai learned telekinesis, trained it to great strength, and attacked the Bloody Chariot Gang before killing police and military forces sent after him.
  • Chen Hai found the crystal, used its energy to reach the limits of his telekinesis, defeated Steve, Matt, and Andrew, and took control of Earth.
  • He-El took over Chen Hai’s body, traced the crystal to the Crystal Civilization, and returned to his universe as parallel-world plans expanded.
  • Doctor Manhattan warned He-El that the Monitors were merging parallel universes, and New Krypton prepared to defend its citizens as counterparts appeared.
  • Doomsday He-El attacked, but He-El trapped him as the merger ended and an ancient Doomsday Warship emerged in another galaxy.
  • He-El and Zeus boarded the warship, where they found decayed former Kryptonians, including Non and the still-conscious Faora.
  • Faora led He-El to General Zod, and He-El recounted Krypton’s fall, his rescue of eight million people, and New Krypton’s rise.
  • General Zod told He-El to leave the universe, then revealed that he intended to destroy it because the Monitors were involved in his mission.

Arc 55Gathering the Universes

He-El brought General Zod and Doctor Manhattan under his control, gathered allies and the laws of other universes, and prepared for the merging Parallel Universes. As New Krypton faced incoming counterparts, He-El tasked his forces with strengthening his universe and conquering new territories.

  • Zero and Doctor Manhattan found that the AllSpark contained part of the Transformers Universe’s logic, but He-El paused work on a universal detector and ordered separate devices for the Chronicle and Jumper universes.
