He-El entered the Naruto universe through a Traversal Vortex and took over Neji Hyuga’s body, choosing to pursue justice for Hizashi Hyuga and train Iron Body rather than follow the Gentle Fist. Neji left the Hyuga compound for the Ninja Academy, where his strength and homemade Flesh-Repair Pills drew Might Guy’s and Kakashi Hatake’s attention.

• He-El returned to New Krypton with Zeus and the forces that had subdued Apokolips, then ordered the settlement of new arrivals and tasked Zeus with preparing for future threats.
• Batman Bruce Wayne and Green Lantern Hal Jordan learned that Superman Clark Kent was He-El’s son and saw the merged-universe Superman’s body merge into Clark, who invited them to form a new Justice League.
• He-El stopped Clark’s attempt to establish a Justice League under New Krypton’s authority, but assigned Bruce to help create a bridge between New Krypton and newcomers from other universes.
• He-El integrated the Calabash Brothers universe into his realm, then entered the Naruto universe and merged with Neji Hyuga after discovering that the Caged Bird Seal had trapped his clone’s consciousness.
• Neji rejected the Gentle Fist, used Hizashi Hyuga’s inheritance to prepare medicinal formulas, and trained Iron Body so relentlessly that Might Guy begged him to stop.
• Neji defeated Takashi Hyuga in a spar, promised to free him from the Caged Bird Seal someday, and left the Hyuga compound to take the Ninja Academy entrance assessment.
• After passing the assessment, Neji offered Might Guy a Lesser Flesh-Repair Pill, then followed Guy and Kakashi Hatake to the forest, where Kakashi tested Guy’s fighting ability and Neji said he had developed the pills himself.

Neji built a life in the forest, befriended Tenten, and began attending the Ninja Academy, where he faced prejudice and clashed with Uchiha Bingwei. After escaping Itachi Uchiha’s Tsukuyomi, Neji agreed to help train Rock Lee while working with Tenten on a windmill power tower.

• Neji studied Earth Style near the Naka River and used it to build and strengthen a courtyard while continuing his Iron Body training.
• Neji met Tenten, befriended her, taught her Chakra extraction, and helped her furnish his courtyard and plan a wind-powered generator tower.
• Tenten introduced Neji to her father, and they went together to the Ninja Academy, where Neji noticed Naruto Uzumaki sitting alone.
• Neji joined Class A and endured classmates’ insults, while Tenten defended him and challenged Uchiha Bingwei after he mocked Neji.
• After Tenten lost her fight with Uchiha Bingwei, Neji comforted her, then confronted Bingwei and was stopped by Itachi Uchiha.
• Itachi trapped Neji in Tsukuyomi, but Neji broke free and left the alley after criticizing Itachi’s use of the illusion.
• Neji and Tenten resumed their plans to build the windmill tower, and Might Guy asked Neji to help train Rock Lee while he went on an S-rank mission.
• Neji agreed to give Rock Lee occasional training pointers in exchange for help with the tower.

Neji trained the Hyuga Branch Family, defeated Danzo Shimura’s attempt to seize him, and drew Hiruzen Sarutobi into negotiations over his medicines and the Branch Family. The arc ended with Hiruzen watching Takashi fight his Shadow Clone and staring at Neji in shock.

• Neji refused Hiashi Hyuga’s summons and accepted Takashi Hyuga as a subordinate, promising to free the Branch Family from the Caged Bird Seal.
• Might Guy rescued Fushimi Kentaro with Neji’s Lesser Flesh-Repair Pill, prompting Hiruzen Sarutobi and his advisors to seek control of Neji’s medicine and its formula.
• Neji gathered Branch Family members to train in his Magnetic Field Fist Style, while they captured Anbu and Root operatives sent to watch him.
• Danzo Shimura led Root ninjas to Neji’s courtyard, where Neji killed the attackers, resisted Kotoamatsukami, and spared Danzo after treating his injuries with a pill.
• Hiruzen Sarutobi met Hiashi Hyuga, who admitted Neji had left the compound but did not know about the Branch Family gathering.
• Kabuto Yakushi infiltrated Root and tried to interfere with Danzo’s treatment, but Danzo saw through his disguise and Kabuto damaged the base before escaping.
• Hiruzen visited Neji to negotiate for the pill formula and offered protection for the Branch Family, but Neji challenged him to judge Takashi’s martial art against the Main Family’s techniques.
• Takashi fought Hiruzen’s Shadow Clone for two and a half minutes, and Hiruzen stared at Neji in shock.

Neji Hyuga built power and influence while challenging Hiruzen Sarutobi and the Hyuga Clan, then led Team 3 through its first mission and into the Chunin Exams. The arc ended with Orochimaru marking Sasuke Uchiha and escaping after Neji declared he would become Hokage.

• Neji Hyuga revealed his plans to unite the world and told Hiruzen Sarutobi about Madara Uchiha, Obito Uchiha, and the Eye of the Moon Plan.
• Neji Hyuga gave Akatsuki plans for grassroots administration, resisted the Hyuga Main Family’s attempts to control him, and helped events unfold toward the Uchiha Clan massacre.
• Neji Hyuga graduated from the Ninja Academy, completed Life Return, and restored his body while discovering how to balance Nature Energy with his own energies.
• Neji Hyuga joined Tenten and Rock Lee on Might Guy’s Team 3, then withstood Might Guy’s Seventh Gate and Daytime Tiger using Iron Body.
• Neji Hyuga refused to hand Konoha his techniques and pill formula, but gave Takashi Hyuga a way to remove or transform the Caged Bird Seal.
• Neji Hyuga led Team 3 on a mission to defeat bandits and rescue villagers, then trained Tenten and Rock Lee for a year before entering the Chunin Exams.
• Neji Hyuga’s team entered the Death Forest, where he encountered Orochimaru after the latter targeted Sasuke Uchiha.
• Neji Hyuga invited Orochimaru to return to Konoha and research Chakra with him, then declared he would become Hokage before Orochimaru escaped Anko Mitarashi.
