Albedo was created by Tabula Smaragdina alongside her sisters Nigredo and Rubedo. Nigredo is the eldest, Albedo the second, and Rubedo the youngest. 665

Tang Zheng recalls that Bone Lord was able to modify Albedo’s memories easily while they were still game data. After NPCs became independent beings in the New World, he concludes that such simple alterations are no longer possible. 544

When Momonga formally takes the name Ainz Ooal Gown, Albedo leads Nazarick’s NPCs in swearing loyalty to him unto death. She then prompts Demiurge to explain Ainz’s supposed declaration to claim the world. 590

Albedo’s defining trait is her fervent devotion to Ainz. She is openly captivated by his presence, takes pride in serving as Nazarick’s overseer, and reacts with intense hostility whenever he is endangered. 601 670 685

She is possessive of Ainz’s attention and competitive with Shalltear. Albedo resents Shalltear’s closeness to him, envies the praise he gives other Guardians, and seeks opportunities to distinguish herself as his most indispensable subordinate. 601 602 606

Despite her emotional intensity, Albedo is an effective administrator and strategist. She gathers intelligence, recognizes the dangers of acting on incomplete information, and advocates using Undead Labor to expand Nazarick’s influence without immediately exposing it to a wider war. 601 603 718

Her loyalty also has a possessive political dimension. She proposes the Territorial Naming and Sovereignty Subordination Act to ensure conquered lands bear names connected to Ainz, Momonga, or the Sorcerer King rather than former Supreme Beings such as Touch Me. 760

Albedo is Nazarick’s foremost defensive Guardian and regards herself as Ainz’s strongest shield. Her resilience allows her to withstand repeated attacks that appear overwhelming to her opponents. 632

As overseer, she compiles intelligence on the Re-Estize Kingdom and neighboring states. Her reports identify notable local figures while acknowledging that Nazarick lacks sufficient information to judge the threat posed by surrounding nations. 601

Fanuen Investigation

After Nazarick detects the invisible Undead Fanuen near its hidden Great Forest of Tob base, Albedo orders a Shadow Demon to monitor him. 604

She later reports that Fanuen had deliberately investigated Ainz and the Great Forest rather than merely trespassing by accident. Her analysis prompts Ainz to personally interrogate the captured Undead. 606

Dragon Lord Conflict

Albedo participates in Nazarick’s defense against the Deep Darkness Dragon Lord and the Blight Venom Dragon Lord. She uses her defenses, Position Exchange, and Hate Transfer to keep the Deep Darkness Dragon Lord from aiding its ally. 631 632

Following the battle’s losses, she joins the other Guardians in receiving Super Rare Resurrection Rings from Ainz and is ordered to equip World Items whenever leaving Nazarick. 637

War Against the Slane Theocracy and Its Allies

During the conflict involving the Slane Theocracy, Albedo protects Ainz against the Judgment Throne Angel swarm, proposes defensive changes when the Angels threaten to separate her from him, and fights while Ainz manages the larger battlefield. 670 678
