Background / History

The New World is a turbulent sea region where major pirate crews compete for territory, resources, and influence. Following the Roger Pirates' disappearance, clashes spread across the region, including conflict between the Big Mom Pirates, Beasts Pirates, and Heart Pirates. 27

Ortolan began his independent journey in the New World from Porlis Island, while Marine and pirate movements around the island and the Veroni Sea drew Roger and Garp into the same wider conflict. 29
