Angel returned to the Southern Region and arranged for Saliel and Oil Badger to help with his hat and fragrance work. In the Heart Space, Laplace’s Void Shadow Clone delivered Behemoth, who revealed that he had learned the tuning technique for Recording Shells.

• Olao visited Angel in his meditation chamber and explained that Saliel’s materials and Oil Badger’s essential oil were ready.
• Angel told Olao to bring him Saliel’s materials, let Oil Badger continue brewing the essential oil, and summon Saliel later to help turn it into fragrance.
• Olao relayed Angel’s instructions to Saliel through a mirror, and Saliel agreed to wait at Starlit Glory with Oil Badger.
• Angel returned to the Heart Space, where Laplace’s Void Shadow Clone briefly appeared and handed him Behemoth.

Angel welcomed Behemoth back from the Pirushu settlement with a Grim Laugh Shell it had made using debugging technology, then brought it to see Nakbi in Heart Space. After checking on the Box Garden in Dream Crystal Plain, Angel headed toward the Awakening Ritual altar.

• Luoketa told Angel and the others that a jellyfish carried him inside the Skyborne White Whale, where he saw an indistinct, many-pointed shape and then woke on a stone bed.
• Angel stopped Luoketa from recreating the shape after sensing the Authority stir whenever he tried, and warned that depicting it might draw danger.
• Yota logged off to warn Luoketa and arrange a watch, then returned after confirming that Luoketa's soul had no abnormal mark.
