Background / History

Yin Jiwu was one of the Yin Clan's most influential Extreme Generation descendants, ranking second in the Ji generation. Before his fall, he served as Blood War Hall Master and commanded the clan's external military forces. He was the younger brother and political rival of acting patriarch Yin Jihuang. 4 23 29

He placed immense hopes on his son, Yin Xuejiao, whose early breakthrough as a fourteen-year-old Star Warrior was expected to strengthen Jiwu's standing. To publicize both his son's talent and his own connections, Jiwu acquired a custom top-grade magic sword from the Eastern Cultivation World as a gift for Xuejiao. 4

Appearance

Though nearly two centuries old, Yin Jiwu appears to be a handsome man in his twenties. His presence is marked by intense yin energy and a predatory, serpent-like gaze. 4

Personality

Yin Jiwu is intensely status-conscious and treats Yin Xuejiao's accomplishments as an extension of his own prestige. His initial plan to present a rare Eastern-made sword before the Children's Hall was explicitly meant to display his influence and secure support within the Yin Clan. 4

His paternal support is cruelly conditional. When Yin Xuejiao lost to Yin Xuege, Jiwu publicly withdrew the sword and threatened his son with consequences if he failed again at the martial arts tournament. He later sacrificed part of his own life essence to force Xuejiao's cultivation toward the Baron realm. 4 30

Jiwu repeatedly abandons clan rules and restraint when Yin Xuege threatens his family’s position. He attacks an eleven-year-old Yin Xuege from behind, attempts to stab him through the heart, helps arrange a mission intended to kill him, and ultimately attacks him again during the sacred martial arts ceremony. 4 7 31 32

• Blood-gathering palm strike — drew blood from nearly a hundred nearby children into his palm before striking Yin Xuege from behind. The attack shattered Yin Xuege's back and froze his regenerative ability with invading yin energy. 4

Story Role / Major Arcs

Conflict at the Children's Hall

Jiwu arrives at the Children's Hall intending to reward Yin Xuejiao's Star Warrior breakthrough, only to find that Yin Xuege has severely injured his son. Enraged and humiliated, he launches a sneak attack on Yin Xuege, shattering his back, then nearly pierces the boy's heart before stopping. 4

Plot Against Yin Xuege

Following Xuejiao's recovery, Jiwu approves a plan to send Yin Xuege on a supposedly ordinary scouting mission that he expects will become a death trap. He orders his agents to erase evidence of the arrangement and considers using extracted essence blood to rapidly strengthen Xuejiao. 7

Return of the Sunwalker

When Yin Xuege returns from Great Berlin alive with Wumu as a follower, Jiwu is enraged by Xuejiao's renewed defeat and by Wumu's presence. Yin Xuege's public revelation as a Sunwalker further undermines Jiwu's ability to act against him openly. 23 24

Martial Arts Ceremony and Downfall

Jiwu is excluded from the ancestral worship ceremony, then watches Yin Xuege overwhelm the Young Disciples and defeat Yin Xuejiao again. Blinded by fear that Xuege will obtain the Blood Spirit Sword and surpass his family permanently, Jiwu attacks from behind during the competition. 29 31 32

Yin Xuege evades the assault with his natal wings, uses wind and speed to maim Jiwu, and provokes him into attempting a second killing blow. Yin Tianjue intervenes, extracts half of Jiwu's essence blood, transfers it to Yin Xuege, revokes Jiwu's positions, and orders him into seclusion. 32
