Background / History

Sea Ancestor and Mountain Ancestor are the figures from whom the Mountain and Sea Realm takes its name. They were contemporaries who fought throughout their growth yet could never kill one another. After losing a battle against Mountain Ancestor on land, Sea Ancestor abandoned her claim to the continent, entered the four seas, and ultimately unified them. 289

She established a power base capable of rivaling Mountain Ancestor's despite his possession of the Buzhou Mountain inheritance. The Moon Sea Immortal Sect, which she personally founded, became the central sect of her faction and was composed predominantly of female cultivators. 407 413
