Background / History
Mountain Ancestor and Sea Ancestor were contemporaries, and the Mountain and Sea Realm was named after them rather than its geography. He was Sea Ancestor’s senior brother under Elder Qiming, and the realm later divided into a mountain-side and sea-side structure after their relationship irreparably collapsed. 289 399
He obtained the Buzhou Mountain inheritance after personally killing Elder Qiming and using his sacrifice to open a Lesser World’s treasure seal. He repeatedly denied the murder to Sea Ancestor, claiming their master had sacrificed himself to save them, but Sage Ancestor later exposed the truth. 401 402
After founding the Zhou Mountain Immortal Sect, Mountain Ancestor became the dominant power of the Mountain and Sea Realm. His inheritance gave him a path beyond ordinary Spirit Realm cultivation, but also tied his ambitions to Buzhou Mountain, the World Sea, and a plan to sacrifice entire realms for ascension. 399 449
Appearance
Mountain Ancestor is an immensely burly man whose presence makes observers feel as though they stand beneath an endless divine mountain. He commonly stands with his hands behind his back and moves with measured, unhurried steps despite covering vast distances. 344 397
- Broad, powerful build; can enlarge himself into a sixteen-foot giant with a sculpted, explosive physique. 398
- Originally handsome and sharply featured, though his later manifested body bears severe, crisscrossing facial scars. 397 425
- His merged Dharma Appearance has two faces, four arms, and four legs, resembling two bodies fused back-to-back. 436
- After ascension, his Full Moon Immortal Body emits silver radiance; every exposed inch appears crystalline and flawless. 444
- A mountain-shaped Dharma Seal appears on his forehead when channeling Buzhou Mountain’s authority. 439 440
Personality
Mountain Ancestor is cold, prideful, and utterly utilitarian. He believes that greatness is built through sacrifice, dismissing compassion as weakness and viewing lives—including those of his followers—as resources for his own ascent. 385 403 404
His pursuit of immortality is patient and long-term. He spent untold years tolerating Sea Ancestor’s opposition, preparing the Buzhou Mountain Shadow, dividing himself into Past and Future Selves, and arranging to sacrifice both realms. 404 439 449
Despite his ruthlessness, he recognizes exceptional talent. He repeatedly acknowledges Ning Qi’s abnormal potential, at times expressing reluctance to kill him before jealousy and fear drive him toward greater violence. 426 427 428

Story Role / Major Arcs
Spirit Realm War
Mountain Ancestor remained on Heaven Connecting Peak while observing the War Domain and Sea Ancestor’s movements. He eventually entered the war personally, broke through the Realm Wall, and immediately challenged Sage Ancestor. 344 397
He summoned the Buzhou Mountain Shadow and revealed an Immortal Dao foundation exceeding the expectations of Sage Ancestor, Sea Ancestor, and the Two Realm Wills. His power allowed him to suppress time-based techniques and overpower Sage Ancestor in direct combat. 399 400
Betrayal of the Mountain and Sea Realm
After Sage Ancestor exposed his murder of Elder Qiming, Sea Ancestor launched a forbidden attack fueled by the World Sea. Mountain Ancestor emerged unharmed, then revealed his intention to become the sole strongest being by sacrificing those under his command. 401 402 403
He teleported Mountain and Sea Realm cultivators to himself, sacrificed them to the Divine Mountain Shadow, and prepared to consume the energy of both realms. This act forced Sea Ancestor and Sage Ancestor into a temporary alliance against him. 403 404
Buzhou Mountain and the Two-Faced Form
Mountain Ancestor trapped Sage Ancestor and Sea Ancestor inside Buzhou Mountain, controlled an army of zombified cultivators, and used Blood Soul Nether Rain and the Curse Power of All Beings to wear them down. 434 435
When Ning Qi intervened, Mountain Ancestor merged his two bodies into a two-faced Dharma Appearance. He used Root-Seeking Art to locate the True Martial Spirit World and attempted to devour it with the compressed Buzhou Mountain Shadow. 435 436
Attempted Ascension
Mountain Ancestor devoured his Past Self and used the Buzhou Mountain Fragment to transform a Silver Immortal Gate into a Golden Immortal Gate. The gate rejected him because the fragment carried excessive World Sea Energy, forcing him to settle for ascension through the Silver Immortal Gate. 439 440 441
He emerged with the Full Moon Immortal Body, becoming the first of the three Old Ancestors to attain immortality. 441 444
Final Defeat
Ning Qi lured a Twisted Monster Army toward the newly ascended Mountain Ancestor. Though Mountain Ancestor destroyed many monsters, their black-water remains and Limitless Evil Qi invaded his Immortal Body. 444 445 446
Mountain Ancestor relied on the Buzhou Mountain Shadow to suppress the evil qi, but Ning Qi’s arrays caused the Buzhou Mountain Fragment inside him to rebel. In their final clash, Ning Qi overcame the Six Paths Immortal Wheel, cleansed its wraiths with belief power, and killed Mountain Ancestor after the fragment turned against him. 447 448 449
