Ch. 361Multiple Kido

Soya Ashirogi fought Ashido, who challenged him over his victory against Kuruyashiki Kenpachi, while Kenpachi Zaraki watched. Ashido unleashed his Hollow-tainted Bankai, and Soya answered with a massive volley of instant-cast Kido empowered by the Soul King’s gift.

  • Ashido challenged Soya Ashirogi to avenge Kuruyashiki Kenpachi, and Soya accepted the fight as a warm-up for Kenpachi Zaraki.
  • Yumichika left the field after Ikkaku led the squad away, while Soya recognized Ruri'iro Kujaku as a natural counter to his Bankai.
  • Ashido’s sword pierced Soya without harming him, and Ashido revealed his Hollow power and explained that he had survived in Hueco Mundo for over two hundred years.
  • Ashido released Bankai, transforming into an antelope-headed monster, and charged Soya to leave a wound in honor of Kuruyashiki Kenpachi.
  • Soya cast Bakudo: Million Railing, summoning thousands of rods of light; Tsuna recognized it as an immense multiple-Kido attack made possible by the Soul King’s power.

Ch. 362Ittō Kasō

Soya Ashirogi fought Ashido and then faced Kenpachi Zaraki in a Kenpachi challenge, using the Seireitei’s Reishi to unleash powerful Kido. The battle escalated when Zaraki revealed Nodachi and Soya called down Ittō Kasō, leaving the duel poised for a dangerous clash.

  • Soya Ashirogi bound Ashido with Chain Lock after slowing him with Kido, then healed the wound Ashido’s Cero inflicted before challenging Kenpachi Zaraki.
  • Kenpachi Zaraki attacked Soya, but his sword and blade wind could not harm him, so Soya trapped him in ten layers of Kurohitsugi.
  • Kenpachi Zaraki broke free with his Shikai, Nodachi, and destroyed Soya’s more than one hundred shells from Thousand-Handed Bright Heaven Cannon.
  • Soya Ashirogi summoned many Ittō Kasō Flame blades, prompting Kyōraku to warn Tsuna that they could endanger the Seireitei.
  • Kenpachi Zaraki leaped into the air and slashed at a Flame blade, triggering a tremendous explosion as Soya accepted the challenge.

Ch. 363I Believe in Kenpachi

Soya Ashirogi used the Seireitei to sustain his battle with Kenpachi Zaraki, who was wounded before answering his Zanpakuto’s call and resolving to kill Soya. As Yachiru vanished, Soya summoned a sky full of endlessly multiplying dragons, and Tsuna was told it was time to act.

  • Soya Ashirogi kept attacking Kenpachi Zaraki with Ittō Kasō blades, using his bond with the Seireitei to threaten both Kenpachi and the surrounding grounds.
  • Kenpachi Zaraki tested Soya’s claim by striking an unused Squad 11 building, then realized he could not defeat Soya without destroying the Seireitei.
  • Kenpachi Zaraki heard his Zanpakuto’s voice and hesitated when he recognized Yachiru; an Ittō Kasō blade pierced his chest and sent him crashing into Squad 11’s grounds.
  • Ikkaku Madarame and Yumichika moved to rescue Kenpachi, but Kenpachi rose from the flames and ordered them away before declaring that he would cut Soya down.
  • Yachiru disappeared, leaving behind her uniform and Vice-Captain’s armband, and Tsuna explained to Unohana Retsu that Yachiru had been a sealed form of Kenpachi’s power.
  • Soya Ashirogi summoned Hadō: Disaster Dragon, filling the sky with multiplying dragons, and someone told Tsuna it was time to act.

Ch. 364Bankai, Wild...

Tsuna and Unohana Retsu stopped Kenpachi Zaraki from losing himself to his Bankai during his battle with Soya Ashirogi. Soya accepted the end of his challenge and agreed to join the Seireitei, while Kenpachi searched in vain for Yachiru Kusajishi.

  • Unohana Retsu warned Tsuna that Kenpachi Zaraki was being consumed by killing intent, and Kenpachi transformed after calling out his Bankai.
  • Tsuna and Unohana Retsu tried to restrain Kenpachi as Soya Ashirogi sent dragons against him; Tsuna fought Kenpachi while Unohana confronted Soya.
  • Tsuna used his Rain Flames and Chinkon no Ame to halt Kenpachi, then used Mist and Yachiru Kusajishi's voice to help him regain control.
  • Tsuna called off the fight, and Soya Ashirogi accepted his failed challenge and agreed to follow Captain-Commander Kyōraku's orders, including restricting Uro Zakuro's ability.
  • Kenpachi Zaraki returned to normal and called for Yachiru, but she did not answer, and the Squad 11 members stayed back beside her Shinigami Uniform and Vice-Captain's armband.

Ch. 365Blade Zen

After Yachiru vanished into Kenpachi Zaraki’s Zanpakuto, Tsuna urged Kenpachi to master Beyond Bankai so he could see her again and arranged for Murasame to try to materialize her. A sudden report that the Gates of Hell had gone berserk and injured Ichigo’s family sent Tsuna rushing to the World of the Living to reach Yuzu.

  • Tsuna explained that Yachiru had returned to Kenpachi Zaraki’s Zanpakuto and encouraged Kenpachi to use Blade Zen and master Beyond Bankai to reunite with her.
  • Tsuna told Ikkaku and Yumichika to borrow Koume’s sword and use Murasame to try to materialize Yachiru.
  • Soya Ashirogi asked Yumichika to accompany him to see Captain-Commander Kyōraku, and Unohana Retsu joined them after Ikkaku insisted on going too.
  • Ichigo called Tsuna in distress and said Yuzu was in grave danger, but the call cut off.
  • A Stealth Force member informed Tsuna that the Gates of Hell had appeared and injured his companions, so Tsuna went through a Senkaimon to the World of the Living.
  • Ukitake and Toshiro told Tsuna that Ichigo had taken Yuzu to Ishida Uryū’s home, and Tsuna hurried there while Ukitake called for more help.

Ch. 366Become a Quincy

Tsuna deduced that Quincy power could free Yuzu from the Hell chain consuming her and helped Ichigo awaken Karin’s and Yuzu’s Saint Letters. Yuzu recovered, while the Kurosaki family gained two more Quincy.

  • Masaki brought Karin to the Ishida Residence, where Orihime struggled to protect the dying Yuzu and Ichigo pleaded with Tsuna for help.
  • Ryūken said the Hell chain resisted Bleach, Hollow, Quincy, and Fullbring powers, and Tsuna concluded that Yuzu’s latent Quincy power might break it.
  • With Isshin and Masaki’s approval, Ichigo prepared to shoot Yuzu with a Quincy arrow, but Karin volunteered to be shot first.
  • Ichigo struck Karin with a crimson arrow, and Old Man Zangetsu awakened her Saint Letter without letting the Hell chains envelop her.
  • Ichigo shot Yuzu, and Old Man Zangetsu awakened her Quincy power; purple energy shattered the Hell chain and Yuzu regained consciousness.

Ch. 367C & P

Tsuna and Ryūken helped Yuzu recover after Hell’s chains injured her, while Karin awakened Quincy abilities as the family gathered at the Ishida Residence. The chapter ended with Ryūken planning the sisters’ training and Karin revealing that another part of her power had yet to manifest.

  • Tsuna combined Sun Attribute flames with Kaidō to heal Yuzu’s lung injury after Ryūken ruled out Orihime’s healing.
  • Karin absorbed gathering Reishi, then rushed to Yuzu; Tsuna noticed her movement resembled Hirenkyaku.
  • Ryūken taught Yuzu and Karin to sense their Saint Letters, and both girls identified their abilities.
  • Karin demonstrated C, Press, compressing Reishi into a sphere and firing it like an explosive projectile.
  • Yuzu identified P, Purify, which had likely erased the Hell’s chains that pierced her.
  • Ryūken proposed Quincy training plans for both sisters, and Karin said another ability seemed to be developing.

Ch. 368Ichigo, Led into a Trap

Karin awakened an incomplete Vollständig that let her compress Reishi spheres, and Tsuna suggested developing it around soccer and specialized footwear. When Urahara and several captains arrived, Ichigo explained how he had been lured into Hell, where Sinners planned to use him to cut their Hell Chains; the chapter ended with Urahara identifying Soul King power as the key.

  • Karin formed a Reishi glove, compressed a large Reishi sphere, and kicked it into the distance, causing an explosion and injuring her foot.
  • Ryūken planned to train Karin in Blut Vene and Hirenkyaku, while Tsuna suggested that her Vollständig might develop into soccer-themed abilities and cleats.
  • Tsuna received a call from Urahara, who arrived at the Ishida Residence with Byakuya, Toshiro, Ukitake, and Kyōraku.
  • Ichigo recounted how Black Blade had gained his trust before the Sinners kidnapped Karin and Yuzu to lure him into Hell and ask him to cut their Chains.
  • Tsuna suggested that his battle with Monk might have revealed Ichigo's potential to the Sinners, and Urahara concluded that Soul King power could cut the Hell Chains.

Ch. 369Gates of Hell

Urahara Kisuke organized an investigation into Hell after explaining the threat it posed, and Kyōraku revealed that the secretive Kitetu Clan had been managing Hell from within for a thousand years. When the group reached the Gates of Hell, Tsuna destroyed Black Blade, clearing the way for the team to enter Hell.

  • Urahara Kisuke and Kyōraku explained that Hell might threaten the Three Worlds and that they needed to learn how it operated.
  • Rukia Kuchiki called for reinforcements after five Sinners emerged from the Gates of Hell and attacked her group.
  • Urahara Kisuke chose himself, Sawada Tsunayoshi, Ichigo Kurosaki, and Jūshirō Ukitake to enter Hell, while the others prepared to keep the Gates open.
  • Kyōraku gave Urahara a token that could contact the Kitetu Clan, whose duty was to manage Hell from within.
  • Ichigo attacked Black Blade, but Tsuna finished him with XBURNER and the Gates of Hell reclaimed his Chains.

Ch. 370Hell

Tsuna and the others entered Hell to investigate why Sinners had appeared, while Hell’s aura awakened the dormant Hollow power within Tsuna. After reaching the second layer, Tsuna, Ukitake, and Urahara suspected that the Hell Wills were connected to the Soul King.

  • Toshiro, Byakuya, Ichigo, and Renji defeated the remaining Sinners as Kyōraku ordered the Kido Corps to keep the Gates of Hell open.
  • Urahara led Tsuna, Ichigo, and Ukitake into Hell to find out why the Sinners had appeared and where they revived.
  • Tsuna told the group that Hell’s aura had awakened his dormant Hollow power, and Urahara adjusted the formation to keep Ichigo near him.
  • The group avoided Hell Wills on the first layer and followed Ichigo down to the second layer, where they found a sea dotted with islands bearing Hell Will skeletons.
  • Tsuna and Ukitake sensed that the Hell Wills had not intended to attack them, and Ukitake detected a familiar fluctuation that he associated with Mimihagi’s omen.

Ch. 371Resentment

Ichigo, Urahara, Ukitake, and Tsuna reached the Sinners’ revival altar in Hell and tested how Resentment powered its inhabitants. After defeating several Sinners and studying their revival, Urahara concluded that Resentment sustained Hell and empowered its fighters, leaving Tsuna to wonder whether Hell was using it to train soldiers.

  • Urahara and the others followed Ichigo to the altar where Black Blade and the defeated Sinners revived from a pool of crimson magma.
  • Black Blade and the other Sinners spotted Ichigo, and Urahara ordered the group to attack them at their revival point.
  • Ichigo used a beam from his Spirit Bow to kill two Sinners, while Tsuna drove another into the magma and Urahara used his Bankai to dismember one.
  • Black Blade attacked Ichigo, but Ukitake’s Bankai turned the sword strike back on him and killed him; Urahara confirmed that Resentment strengthened the Sinners and composed the magma.
  • Urahara explained that Resentment could empower ordinary people into formidable fighters, and Tsuna suggested that Hell used it to train soldiers.

Ch. 372Strengthening Plan

Tsuna and Urahara interrogated Black Blade and learned that Hell had selected him to test the Three Worlds and target Ichigo, a potential Soul King replacement. As the group prepared to leave, the skeleton beside the lava revived into a huge, fur-covered being.

  • Tsuna restrained Black Blade with Arnold's Handcuffs and tortured him until he agreed to answer questions.
  • Black Blade revealed that many powerful Sinners lived deeper in Hell and grew stronger by surviving Hell Will's attacks.
  • Urahara and Ukitake concluded that Hell had chosen Black Blade to test the Three Worlds and might be trying to consume Ichigo before he could become the Soul King.
  • Tsuna warned that someone intended to keep the group in Hell, and they saw the enormous skeleton begin to move.
  • The lava covered the skeleton and formed a giant, fur-covered body that reminded Ichigo of Captain Komamura.

Ch. 373The Ancestor Who Fell into the Animal Realm

Tsuna, Ichigo, Urahara, and Ukitake fought the Werewolf clan’s ancestor in Hell, where Ichigo defeated him with a powerful Getsuga Tensho. As they prepared to leave, Hell’s Chains rose from underground and surrounded the group.

  • Urahara identified the transforming giant as the Werewolf clan’s ancestor, and Ukitake moved the group out of the werewolf’s first attack.
  • Tsuna raised a Diamond Castle while Ichigo entered Bankai and clashed with the werewolf at high speed.
  • The werewolf drew power from Hell’s Resentment, regenerated from his injuries, and forced Ichigo onto the defensive.
  • Tsuna explained that the werewolf had likely sacrificed his heart to gain human form, and Ichigo combined his powers to unleash a massive Getsuga Tensho that stripped the werewolf down to his skeleton.
  • Tsuna praised Ichigo and agreed to help him advance toward Beyond Bankai after they returned to Soul Society.
  • As Urahara, Tsuna, Ichigo, and Ukitake prepared to leave, Chains rose from the ground, bound the werewolf’s remains, and closed in around them.

Ch. 374Hell's Chains

Tsuna, Ichigo, Urahara, and Ukitake fought through Hell’s Chains and encountered Szayelaporro, who had trapped them with the chains and gathered Hollow-like followers. When the Hell Wills appeared, Szayelaporro panicked, and Urahara questioned why he feared them when Black Blade apparently did not.

  • Tsuna used Stream Flame to bore through the Hell’s Chains and lead the group upward, but a monster without spiritual pressure attacked Ukitake before Tsuna and Ichigo struck it down.
  • Tsuna revealed Szayelaporro hiding behind the chains, and Szayelaporro admitted he had obstructed their escape to attack them and collect revenge against Soul Society.
  • Szayelaporro summoned several Hollow-like followers and ordered them to kill the group, but they froze when they sensed the Hell Wills approaching.
  • Tsuna and Ichigo blocked Szayelaporro’s escape with arrows, leaving him surrounded by the Hell Wills alongside the others.
  • Urahara wondered why Szayelaporro feared the Hell Wills when Black Blade had not, and considered whether Hell had secretly altered Black Blade’s mind.

Ch. 375Hell Derivation

Tsuna and Ichigo received the Hell Wills’ authority, gaining golden Hell Derivation forms and the power to control Chains and Resentment. After they sent Szayelaporro and his followers to a deeper level of Hell, Ukitake spotted someone watching them from beyond the Hell Wills.

  • The Hell Wills ignored the surrounding Chains, then knelt before Tsuna and the others.
  • Dozens of Hell Wills transformed into golden light and bestowed their power on Tsuna and Ichigo, covering opposite sides of their bodies in golden armor.
  • Tsuna stopped Szayelaporro with his own Chains, then bound him and sent him to a deeper level of Hell.
  • Ichigo used his new authority to bind and send Szayelaporro’s followers into deeper Hell as well.
  • Urahara asked whether Tsuna and Ichigo could maintain their forms outside Hell, and Ichigo agreed to cooperate with his tests.
  • Ukitake examined the Impermanence Diagram and found a person watching them from beyond the Hell Wills.

Ch. 376Guardians of Hell

Tsuna and the others met Kichō Yasha, a member of the ancient Kitetu Clan who controlled the Hell Wills and recognized Mimihagi. She explained that her clan had lived in Hell for over a thousand years because its members were immune to Hell’s aura and Chains, and Tsuna suspected the Soul King had sent them there.

  • Ukitake spotted the figure controlling the Hell Wills approaching, so the group prepared to meet her.
  • The woman greeted Mimihagi as Lord Mimihagi and introduced herself as Kichō Yasha of the Kitetu Clan after recognizing the clan token Urahara carried.
  • Kichō Yasha led the group through a formation to her luxurious home in Hell, where she said only three members of her clan remained.
  • Kichō Yasha explained that her clan had entered Hell with more than a hundred people over a thousand years earlier and was immune to Hell’s aura and Chains.
  • Kichō Yasha said Tsuna’s constitution was similar to the Soul King’s, and Tsuna asked whether the Soul King had sent her clan into Hell.

Ch. 377Opposition and Unity

Kichō Yasha revealed that the Kitetu Clan had used the Soul King's legs to delay Hell's growth, but the clan was dwindling and a war between Soul Society and Hell was inevitable. Urahara and Ukitake gathered information to prepare for the coming threat, including Hell's powers and the possibility that it could control Sinners.

  • Kichō Yasha explained that the Soul King had given the Kitetu Clan his legs, whose powers of opposition and unity let them turn Hell Will against Sinners and delay Hell's expansion.
  • Kichō Yasha said only three Kitetu Clan members remained and warned that Hell's invasion would come when either the clan or the Soul King fell.
  • Urahara told Kichō Yasha that the Soul King had also warned Soul Society, and she offered the clan's collected information about Resentment to help them prepare.
  • Urahara asked about Hell's factions, and Kichō Yasha described the divisions among Sinners while admitting she knew little about the powerful groups.
  • Tsuna warned that Hell might control Sinners as it controlled Hell Will, citing Black Blade as an example, and Urahara decided to investigate the dead listed in combat records.
  • Kichō Yasha led Urahara and Ukitake to collect the clan's records before they returned to prepare for war.

Ch. 378The Next Step

Tsuna and his companions returned from Hell with records and warnings from Kichō Yasha about an impending invasion and the Soul King's decline. At a meeting beneath the Urahara Shop, Urahara proposed reclaiming Las Noches and bringing Hueco Mundo's Hollows into the effort to face the coming crises.

  • Kichō Yasha gave Urahara the Kitetu Clan's records and sent Tsuna, Ichigo, Urahara, and Ukitake out of the clan estate.
  • Tsuna and the others emerged from the Gates of Hell in new Hell forms, and the Gates began closing as Kichō Yasha's spiritual pressure lingered.
  • Ukitake told Kyōraku that the Kitetu Clan would use the Hell Will to guard the Gates and keep Sinners from entering the Three Worlds.
  • Urahara gathered Soul Society, Quincy, and Fullbringer representatives beneath his shop and explained the Kitetu Clan's warning about Hell and the Soul King's nearing end.
  • Urahara proposed an expedition into Hueco Mundo to reclaim Las Noches and enlist the Hollows against the coming threats.

Ch. 379Expedition Candidates

Kyōraku and Urahara planned an expedition to reclaim Las Noches and put Hueco Mundo under Soul Society’s supervision, with Tsuna leading the Vice-Captains. After the meeting, Tsuna returned to Soul Society and went to the Tribunal, where Nel mistook his arrival for a court appearance.

  • Urahara explained that the expedition would reclaim Hueco Mundo and proposed using the Espada as opponents for the Vice-Captains while the Captains continued Beyond Bankai training.
  • Kyōraku assigned Nel to administer Hueco Mundo and sentenced Gin Ichimaru to supervise her there in exile for one hundred years; he postponed a decision about Kaname Tōsen.
  • Tsuna proposed letting Kaname Tōsen attack Tokinada Tsunayashiro if he was found, but Kyōraku said Gin Ichimaru’s case would be handled first.
  • Urahara said he would research Hell and develop a way to protect Bleaches from Resentment, while Kyōraku urged everyone to prepare for a war expected within twenty years.
  • Tsuna asked Rukia to summon the Bankai-trained Vice-Captains, Ikkaku, and Yumichika, then took several Vice-Captains back to Soul Society.
  • Tsuna visited the Tribunal, where Nel, dressed as a judge and studying legal procedure, asked whether he had broken the law.

Ch. 380Expedition to Hueco Mundo

Tsuna gathered the Vice-Captains and Nel for an expedition to reclaim Las Noches and bring Hueco Mundo under their jurisdiction. As the group entered Hueco Mundo, Sora Inoue confronted Barragan and left Las Noches to join Tsuna, while the remaining Espada watched from their palaces.

  • Nel agreed to join Tsuna and handed her duties to Aikawa Love before traveling with him to Sōkyoku Hill.
  • Tsuna briefed the Vice-Captains on their mission, ordered them to defeat or eliminate the remaining Espada and their Arrancar, and trusted Nel to manage Las Noches afterward.
  • Renji led the Vice-Captains in planning their strategy, then Tsuna opened a Garganta with Urahara Kisuke's device and led the group into Hueco Mundo.
  • At Las Noches, Sora Inoue challenged Barragan's claim to be King of Hueco Mundo and revealed spiritual pressure comparable to his.
  • After receiving Tsuna's message, Sora Inoue left Las Noches and urged the Arrancar to protect themselves, while Stark, Halibel, Ulquiorra, Yammy, and Grimmjow remained apart.
