Turles hadn't expected King Vegeta to have such a history, and it seemed there was an untold story between Paragus and the King, which immediately piqued his interest.

Not only Turles, but even Broly and Raditz were staring at Paragus with gossipy expressions, their eyes practically screaming, "Tell us, tell us! We want to hear it!"

Paragus looked at their expressions, offered a bitter smile, and began to recount the tale with a sense of nostalgia.

In Age 550, a group of Saiyans wandering the universe landed on Planet Plant. At the time, the planet was inhabited by the Tuffles. Due to certain special circumstances, the Tuffles accepted the Saiyans and partitioned a region of Planet Plant for them to inhabit.

The Tuffles were peace-loving; although they were only half the size of the Saiyans, they possessed extremely high intelligence and an advanced technological civilization. The Saiyans, while physically powerful, were barbaric and backward. With the help of the Tuffles, the Saiyans quickly took root on Planet Plant, their population recovered rapidly, and the two races coexisted peacefully for over a hundred years.

In Age 700, King Vegeta was born. Shortly after his birth, he revealed exceptional talent, and before he was even 15, he had surpassed his father, defeated the previous Saiyan leader, and ascended to the throne.

The young King Vegeta was filled with ambition, and finally, in Age 720, he launched a war of aggression against the Tuffles.

Relying on their ability to transform into Great Apes, the Saiyans completely wiped out the Tuffles by 730, and Planet Plant was renamed Planet Vegeta.

After taking control of Planet Vegeta, the Saiyans absorbed the Tuffles' technological achievements. However, because of the Saiyans' culture of violence, there were very few researchers among the entire race, causing their technology to stagnate.

Having already enjoyed the conveniences brought by technology, King Vegeta could not tolerate this. He had ruled Planet Vegeta to secure a better life, not to return to a primitive existence—especially regarding the Tuffles' healing agents, which were like "miracle drugs" that he had long coveted.

King Vegeta gathered all the Saiyans, established a Science Division, and proposed the "Saiyan Rise Project." Yet, very few responded; the Saiyans prided themselves on being a warrior race—how could they possibly be bothered with scientific research?

At this time, the equally young Paragus stepped forward. Captivated by King Vegeta's charisma, he abandoned the honor of a warrior, resolutely joined the Science Division, and chose to dedicate his life to the Saiyan cause (a point Turles viewed with skepticism)!

Soon, King Vegeta reached a partnership with Frieza. With Frieza's support, the Science Division quickly found its footing, successfully reverse-engineering the Tuffles' healing agents. The Saiyans began to venture out from Planet Vegeta, embarking on a path of invading other planets for Frieza.

Having made significant contributions, Paragus gained King Vegeta's favor and remained a trusted confidant of the King until the birth of Broly.

For Paragus, Broly's birth was a joyous surprise, but for King Vegeta, it was undoubtedly a thorn in his side.

Born with a power level of 10,000, Broly left everyone in shock. As the King of the Saiyan royal family, King Vegeta was reminded of a royal secret—a terrifying warrior who would only be born once every thousand years: the Legendary Super Saiyan. This filled King Vegeta with an unprecedented sense of crisis.

At the time, all Saiyans worshipped the legendary warrior—the Super Saiyan. They firmly believed that under the leadership of this super warrior, the Saiyans would surely become the rulers of the entire universe. All, that is, except for King Vegeta.

King Vegeta knew that beyond power, the Super Saiyan also meant brutality, cold-bloodedness, and a complete lack of humanity. Once a Super Saiyan lost their reason, they would unleash indiscriminate slaughter on everyone—enemies and allies alike, with no exceptions.

Therefore, the first thing King Vegeta thought of upon seeing Broly was to kill him immediately. Paragus's feelings toward King Vegeta were complex; they were a mix of the melancholy of having abandoned his warrior honor for the King's ambition in his youth, and the intense hatred he felt after being backstabbed.

However, King Vegeta had already perished along with the destruction of Planet Vegeta, and even Vegeta had been thoroughly humiliated by him. Thus, the current Paragus was solely focused on his career. He would carry the ambitions and aspirations that King Vegeta once held and lead the Saiyans to rise once more.

As for Broly, he didn't have the same complex emotional baggage regarding King Vegeta as Paragus did. He was very satisfied with his current life—he had his father, and he had friends!

Raditz had not expected Paragus to have such a past, but the cold-blooded ruthlessness of King Vegeta reminded him of Vegeta. The two were truly father and son; their personalities were identical.

Only Turles stood to the side, watching with cold eyes, observing Paragus's performance.

He was not the simple-minded Broly, nor was he Raditz, who had developed empathy due to Vegeta's oppression.

Turles only believed half of what Paragus said. While it was true that King Vegeta was neither a good leader nor a good man, Paragus was certainly not the innocent saint he painted himself to be.

However, Turles did not care. He had no desire to be the King of the Saiyans; as long as someone could provide him with assistance, that was enough. To get that, he only needed to be strong enough. Thus, he simply looked at Paragus with a hint of disdain and did not expose him.

Regarding Paragus's desire to boost the overall strength of the Saiyans through the base Great Ape Transformation, Turles was not optimistic. However, he did suggest a direction: using serums to guide the mutation of the Saiyan tail, thereby inducing cellular mutation to allow Saiyans to transform into Great Apes without the need for a full moon.

"That is actually a good idea!" Upon hearing Turles's suggestion, Paragus fell into deep thought and affirmed his idea.

However, they only had four Saiyans currently, so this plan could only be carried out once they had a planet of their own and could find a sufficient number of Saiyans.

Turles did not know if what he saw was information deep within the Saiyan bloodline or just a hallucination caused by his mind being overwhelmed, but he dared not try it lightly now. If it happened again, even Turles could not guarantee he would remain sane.

However, Turles could conduct some experiments on Raditz. For one, even though Raditz's combat power had improved significantly under gravity training, because the time had been short, his current combat power was only just over 5,000. After a Great Ape Transformation, it would only be 50,000, which both Turles and Broly could easily handle.
