Background / History

Yueguang Han was originally known as Wang Han. He transmigrated into a new world, awakening in a body dumped in a burning corpse pit. The body would not burn; after reviving, he killed soldiers who attacked him and discovered that explosions could replenish his Energy Points 137 138 140.

Within the Gekko/Hayate Clan, Han was known as diligent, polite, and helpful despite having ordinary parents. His newly awakened Kekkei Genkai turned him into a source of hope for the clan, which chose to conceal his ability and protect him from battlefield dangers 15 18.

His parents’ deaths devastated him. During the war, he became cold, detached, and driven by hatred toward Sand Shinobi; later, he learned that Konoha’s higher-ups had allegedly used his parents as bait 14 86 111.

Personality

Han is intensely disciplined. He trained every day regardless of rain, snow, hail, or personal despair, inspiring a Hyuga branch-family girl to pursue her own strength 125.

His grief and wartime experiences made him distant, ruthless toward enemies, and prone to reckless action when pursuing revenge. He nevertheless shows responsibility toward his clan: after its losses, he dedicated all of his mission merits to it 25 87 111.

Despite his intimidating presence, Han can be protective of allies and civilians. He ordered Konoha shinobi to retreat rather than face thousands of enemies beside him, spared villagers while capturing Stone shinobi, and later delayed revenge against Konoha to investigate his clan’s downfall and protect its remaining members 57 79 179.

Third Shinobi World War

Han emerges as a devastating Konoha combatant, killing Sand shinobi with machine-gun fire, pursuing survivors, and later being credited with nearly 200 Sand kills, including several jonin 6 18. His attacks force Scorch Release user Yakura to flee and make him a priority target for Rasa and Chiyo 14 48.

He develops Lightning-energy absorption and increasingly destructive weapon templates while operating alongside the Gekko Clan 20 49 50. During later fighting, he confronts more than 3,500 enemy ninja alone and orders allied Konoha forces to withdraw 79.

Konoha’s Political Conflict

After the war’s losses, Han grieves at the clan memorial and contributes his merits to the clan 86 87. The revelation surrounding his parents’ deaths deepens his desire for vengeance against Konoha’s leadership 111.

Upon returning to Konoha after an absence, he finds the clan territory ruined and demands answers from the Third Hokage. His unstable return escalates into a battle against the Third Hokage, Minato, Hiashi, and Fugaku 171 175.

Break from Konoha and Expansion

Han postpones immediate revenge against Konoha to uncover the truth behind his clan’s downfall and safeguard its survivors 179. He later allies with Yakura, builds a technologically armed army exceeding 10,000 soldiers, and begins territorial conquest with the stated aim of ruling everyone 195 200.

Rebirth

After his soul reassembles and an awakening program activates, Han becomes a giant of light with god-like power. He intends to destroy the existing world and create a new, “pure” one, bringing him into direct conflict with his father 232.
