Background / History

Stone Ninja first pursue Yueguang Han's Konoha unit with six Jonin-level trackers. Han uses his T1000 liquid-metal form to infiltrate their nighttime position and capture enemy ninja, including Biwa and Daishi. 57 61

Under Dong Siren, more than 800 Stone Ninja cross open farmland while pursuing Konoha forces. Their advance is disrupted by sudden long-range attacks, while later Stone Ninja forces attempt to investigate and retake a captured stronghold. 59 62 66

Liu Tang leads a Stone Ninja group that is encircled by roughly 400 Konoha shinobi. Rather than surrender, he and his remaining comrades choose to fight to the death; Han later assumes Liu Tang's appearance to infiltrate the Stone Ninja stronghold, destroy its supplies, and eliminate its remaining defenders. 63

After Konoha targets the Heaven and Earth Bridge—a key Stone Village supply route—Stone Ninja defenses are devastated by Han's artillery bombardment. Intelligence delivered by the previously captured Daishi and Biwa contributes to the force's expectation of a Konoha assault. 67 70 71

Kurotsuchi's Stone Ninja join with Sand Shinobi to retake the bridge. They discover that burrowing underground can shield them from Han's long-range fire, then mass more than 5,200 Stone and Sand ninja around Konoha's outpost. The assault fails after heavy losses, forcing the Stone Ninja to abandon the Heaven and Earth Bridge front and consolidate toward Kannabi Bridge. 76 77 82

Stone Ninja later ally with the Cloud Shinobi against Konoha, helping maintain a barrier against Unit-01 and participating in the broader effort to eliminate Han. 131 132 They continue to field deeply buried defensive lines in the Land of Earth, using tunnels and anti-artillery bunkers to withdraw from Han's attacks. 217
