Tang San has lived two lives, giving him thoughts and caution far beyond those of an ordinary child. His early mental maturity is evident in his guarded response to Doctor Luo's seemingly benevolent offer of medical instruction. 133

At his awakening, Tang San publicly manifested Blue Silver Grass and was confirmed to possess Innate Full Soul Power. He secretly manifested a second Martial Soul, the Clear Sky Hammer, immediately hiding it from Su Yuntao and the villagers. 132 His dense, rapidly recovering Soul Power and unusually precise control were later attributed to the Mysterious Heaven Skill. 33

After Doctor Luo invited him to study medicine, Tang San used the opportunity to inspect Luo's Herb Shop. His central motivation is strength: after learning of Ah Yin's sacrifice, he commits himself to revenge against Martial Soul Hall. 144 153 This goal often overrides moral restraint. Tang San's awakening exposes his Innate Full Soul Power and Twin Martial Souls, drawing Luo Can's attention. Luo Can then engineers the Thousand-Year Ginseng theft to expose Tang San's behavior to Tang Ya, whose faith in her ancestor begins to collapse. 132 134 135

Luo Can records the theft with Recording Soul Guidance Devices, intending to use the evidence when other people connected to Tang San arrive from the future. The recording later contributes to Wang Dong'er's reassessment of her father. 134 245

Nuoding Academy Training

After Tang Hao's departure, Tang San enters Nuoding City and becomes Yu Xiaogang's disciple. Using the unfamiliar cultivation method supplied through his future Divine Sense, Tang San secretly drains the life force of plants and insects in the forest behind Nuoding Academy. 223 241 The practice rapidly advances him to level 14, but it creates a conspicuous withered zone and leaves him carrying a malevolent grassy scent. 241

Tang San conceals the method from Xiao Wu and uses the Mysterious Heaven Skill each night to purify its unstable, plundered Soul Power. 241 By the time Yu Xiaogang departs Nuoding City to seek his fourth Spirit Ring, Tang San has reached level 15 and expects to break through again during his master's absence. 277

With continuing cultivation and resources from Tang Xiao, Tang San reaches level 19. Luo Can regards his gain of seven or eight ranks within roughly a year as abnormal even for a child with Innate Full Soul Power and suspects that his future Divine Sense has supplied additional advantages. 430 433

Timeline Anomaly

Tang San's future Divine Sense returns to his younger body and discovers that the timeline has diverged: Tang Hao revealed family secrets early, Tang San entered Yu Xiaogang's tutelage early, and another Blue Silver Emperor has been born. 222 The Divine Sense begins steering Tang San through knowledge unavailable to his younger self, including the evil cultivation method that accelerates his growth. 223 241

Tang San first experiences violent palpitations and the sensation that a part of himself is being torn away when Tang Ya contracts the Blue Silver Emperor as her Soul Spirit. The future Divine Sense later identifies that Tang San's own Blue Silver Emperor bloodline has been sealed. 211 222

The Divine Sense responds by planning a substitute Dark Blue Silver Grass route rather than abandoning godhood. Its willingness to combine devouring, darkness, and Holy Spirit Cult methods makes the altered Tang San a different threat from the one Luo Can originally expected. 222 224

Luo Can's interference also removes several expected supports for Tang San's later development. He takes the immortal herbs of the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well, allies with the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, and keeps Ning Rongrong as his nominal disciple. After Tang San's arrival at Shrek, Luo Can questions whether the original Shrek Seven Devils can still assemble. 11 202 435

Exposure Risk and Departure from Nuoding

Luo Can sends Ye Guyi and Ma Xiaotao to Nuoding City to observe Tang San discreetly. Ye Guyi detects an unusually pure and powerful evil-attribute Martial Soul aura on the academy's rear mountain, leading the pair to investigate. 430

Their confrontation with Tang Xiao ends without his defeat, but leaves him badly injured and concerned that they have discovered Tang San's unorthodox cultivation. He decides that Tang San must leave before Spirit Hall learns the truth and instructs Yu Xiaogang to arrange the move. 432 437

Tang San independently senses that he is being watched and welcomes a fresh start at Shrek. Before leaving, he hides traces of his activities in the woods and drinks Clear Spirit Powder, reaching level 20 without realizing that the medicine carries a cumulative poison. Luo Can and Qian Renxue choose to leave the existing contamination unchanged rather than risk exposing their scheme through a stronger dose. 434

Early Arrival at Shrek Academy

Yu Xiaogang brings Tang San and Xiao Wu to Shrek Academy three days after Tang San's breakthrough. At the gate, Dai Mubai challenges Tang San's claim to be level 20 and demands a fight. Tang San accepts calmly while Yu Xiaogang advises him not to damage their future relationship. 434

Tang San first matches Dai Mubai in close combat, then uses nimble evasion and Blue Silver Grass to resist his White Tiger Martial Soul. Although Dai Mubai breaks free of the vines with his White Tiger Protective Barrier, repeated contact with their poisonous barbs gradually paralyzes him. Tang San wins, provides an antidote, and gains Dai Mubai's respect. 435

Flender welcomes Yu Xiaogang and is astonished by Tang San's rapid cultivation. The reunion ends with an invitation to a feast in Suotuo City. Tang San's presence brings five of the expected Shrek Seven Devils together, although Ning Rongrong's allegiance to Luo Can makes a complete reunion uncertain. 435

Tang San subsequently travels toward the Star Dou Forest with Yu Xiaogang's group to obtain his second ring. His target is now a thousand-year ring, exceeding the eight-hundred-year Ghost Vine goal discussed earlier. Yu Xiaogang argues that Whale Rubber conditioning makes the attempt viable, and Flender agrees to prioritize Tang San's ring despite his reservations. Future Legacy and Opposition

Characters transported from later eras initially know Tang San as the Sea God, Tang Sect ancestor, and a celebrated savior. Tang Ya's discovery of his concealed advantages and theft challenges that reputation, while Wang Dong'er later accepts an identity independent of being his daughter. 132 135 245

Qian Renxue repeatedly invokes his future actions to undermine this inherited reverence. She cites his use of an External Soul Bone to devour life force and his destruction of Slaughter City, arguing that the release of its inhabitants and Shrek's indiscriminate treatment of evil-attribute users contributed to the later spread of Evil Spirit Masters. These discussions concern Tang San's future legacy, not deeds already performed by his younger self in the altered timeline. 245 384

Luo Can further presents the future Tang San as a manipulator of other people's destinies when recruiting Huo Yutong. His claim that she and her spirits are following Tang San's script helps persuade them to join Fate Defying Valley and oppose him, extending the conflict beyond Tang San's present cultivation and into the loyalties of people from later eras. 420
