Background / History

Tang Ya originated from ten thousand years in the future, where she was destined to become the Tang Sect's leader. Her profile describes a future in which the Tang Sect's foundation was seized when she was ten, her loved ones were murdered, and her fixation on restoring the sect eventually led her Blue Silver Grass to mutate into Dark Blue Silver Grass and made her an Evil Spirit Master. 62

At age six, shortly after awakening Blue Silver Grass and level 5 Innate Soul Power, she was fished from the future by Luo Can and brought to Fate Defying Valley. Initially frightened by her displacement, she remained proud of the Tang Sect and idolized Tang San as its heroic Sea God ancestor. 62 63

Luo Can chose to keep and educate her rather than treat her as a threat. Ye Lingling and Dugu Yan became her caretakers, while Qian Renxue and Ju Zi warned her against invoking Tang San or the Tang Sect around them. 63 64

Her faith in Tang San steadily eroded after Luo Can showed her the complete Mysterious Heaven Skill, introduced her to commoners helped by Martial Soul Hall, and exposed the difference between Tang Sect legend and lived reality.
