World Synchronization	215	The Small World became deeply bonded to Luo Can's soul. As its sole ruler, Luo Can can synchronize with its world core and temporarily channel the world's power to attain Level 3 God-level strength; the duration depends on his own strength and mental power.

History

Luo Can had known the hidden valley for at least ten years before the story began. After first falling into it as a child, he survived on the spring water and wild fruits for three days, during which his soul power rose to level three. He later spent a year discovering a safe route in and out of the valley, and used the spring's marrow-cleansing effects and its medicinal herbs to force his soul power to level ten at age thirteen. 1

After obtaining the Golden Earth Dragon's soul ring and reaching level 91, Luo Can returned by leaping from Death Cliff, drank from the spring, and called it his “old friend.” He then consolidated his new Title Douluo realm beneath the Dragon Blood Tree he had planted there as a sapling. 1

After gaining access to fishing and system upgrades, Luo Can repeatedly expanded the spring and the valley with points earned from fishing. The initially small spring became Fate-Defying Lake, while the surrounding land developed into a Blessed Land with unusually dense spiritual and life energy. 3 5 23 28

The valley became the foundation of Luo Can's growing faction. He used it to train disciples, shelter recruits drawn from different eras, house powerful soul beasts, develop Soul Tools, and educate orphaned children through Qichen Academy. 154 234 241 261 272

Its defenses were progressively reinforced through the Spatial Barrier. By the level-four permission upgrade, the valley was concealed from God King-level divine sense; after later upgrades, Luo Can considered it a secure refuge unless a God King descended personally. 67 119

At permission level five, Fate Defying Valley ceased to be merely a hidden valley and became an independent Small World, physically separate from the Douluo Continent. The following day, Luo Can learned that the world's core had bonded with his soul, granting him the World Synchronization ability. 214 215 261 269

Following its transformation, Fate Defying Valley increasingly developed into a self-sustaining settlement. Its population expanded through successive intakes of orphans, while Qichen Academy, the Body Sect's rebuilt branch, Soul Tool research, medicinal refinement, and soul-beast domestication continued to develop within the Small World. 272 300 329 343

Fate Defying Valley's spiritual and life energy continuously improved with its upgrades, making it a major cultivation site for both humans and soul beasts.
