Background / History

Ye Lingling was born into the Nine-Heart Begonia Ye Clan as Ye Qingyu's daughter and Ye Shengxin's granddaughter. The Nine-Heart Begonia passes through a single bloodline: when a new bearer awakens it, the previous bearer's Soul Power irreversibly drains away until death. Her impending awakening therefore worsened Ye Qingyu's already fragile health. 3 6

Quiet and obedient, Lingling first met Luo Can before her awakening and respectfully addressed him as “Master.” He gave her a Soul Power Pill and remained at the Ye estate for the ceremony. 5

She awakened the Nine-Heart Begonia with Innate Full Soul Power, but the event immediately triggered Ye Qingyu's life-force drain. Luo Can stabilized Ye Qingyu and later accepted Lingling as his disciple, taking her from the Ye residence to cultivate under his care. 6 13 14

At Fate Defying Valley, Luo Can deliberately trained her to overcome the traditional vulnerability of a support-type Soul Master. He gave her body-tempering resources and taught her the Tiger King Mountain-Crushing Fist, then used a century-old Ghost Tiger as her sparring partner.
