Du Mu defeated Ares and used the Death Mask to seal his soul, then told Diana and Arthur that Ares had manipulated them into starting the war. The Amazons and Atlantis agreed to surrender and end the conflict.

• Lei Kung told Du Mu how Yaozu Quan had sacrificed himself to seal the Eighth City, and Du Mu went with him to inspect its open gates.

Du Mu's flaming-arrow barrage devastated Yaozu Quan's monster army, and the battle continued as Du Mu tried to persuade him to return to K'un-Lun.

• Du Mu recognized Yaozu Quan as the First-Generation Iron Fist, and Yaozu Quan revealed that K'un-Lun's rulers had abandoned him to torture in the Eighth City after he sacrificed himself to seal it.
• Yaozu Quan explained that he had overthrown Changming, become ruler of the Eighth City, and used the Immortal Weapons' qi to keep the gate open; he demanded they submit or die.
• Yaozu Quan ordered his monsters to kill everyone but the Immortal Weapons, and Du Mu used Ten Thousand Arrows and Quenching Oil to unleash a vast rain of Hellfire arrows that destroyed most of the army.
