Yun Ming served as the Sea God Pavilion Master of Shrek Academy and was regarded as the strongest person on the Douluo Continent. His spiritual power was estimated at over 25,000 points and possibly near 30,000; he used it to immediately perceive the extreme darkness in Chen Ye's martial soul. 100

When Wu Zhangkong brought Chen Ye and Yun Xiao to Shrek, Yun Ming accepted Yun Xiao for his exceptional extreme-fire talent but rejected Chen Ye. He judged Chen Ye's martial soul to be extremely evil and his character unfit for Shrek Academy, making the decision final despite Wu Zhangkong's objections. 100
