Background

The Body Sect regards the Body Martial Soul as the most primordial divine power of humanity. Rather than borrowing power from external beings or objects, its doctrine treats the body itself as the martial soul and its flesh as a universe to be cultivated 3.

Du Busi arrived after Lu Xiao awakened a Body Martial Soul at Notting Academy, intervening when Yu Xiaogang dismissed it as worthless. He declared that Lu Xiao was therefore a disciple of the Body Sect, then accepted him as his only closing disciple and promised his protection 1 2.

Although Du Busi is its current Sect Master, the sect was initially severely diminished. He identified Lu Xiao as its last hope, prioritizing his physical foundation over rapid soul-power advancement and seeking support from major factions for the sect’s restoration 23 30.

The Body Sect’s records preserve accounts of exceptional Body Martial Souls. One former Sect Master possessed the same charm-inducing constitution later exhibited by Lu Xiao, while the first Sect Master reportedly possessed the stepwise-evolving “Imperishable Body” 10 62.

Under Lu Xiao’s leadership, the sect’s revival has progressed from preserving a single inheritance to recruiting the single-attribute clans, preparing a permanent construction base, and pursuing Soul Tool development. The Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect supplies resources for this research, while the Strength, Defense, and Speed Clans participate in or support the reconstruction effort 133 135 137.

Establish the Body Before Cultivating the Soul

The Body Sect’s central principle is to strengthen the body before pursuing greater soul power. Du Busi deliberately suppressed Lu Xiao’s breakthrough for two months to perfect his foundation, believing this would improve his future soul-ring capacity, combat ability, and explosive strength 23.

Golden Body Arhat

The Innate Secret Technique’s ultimate stated goal is the Golden Body Arhat, described by the sect as a near-divine physique. Its claimed benefits include immunity to negative status effects, poison resistance, and resistance to energy-based control abilities 5.
