Qian Daoliu is Spirit Hall’s Grand Worship and a rank 99 Limit Douluo renowned as the strongest soul master in the skies. He is counted alongside Bo Saixi and Tang Chen among the continent’s monster-level peerless Douluos. 131 140 146

He is Qian Renxue’s grandfather and acts on her assessment of major threats and opportunities. When she identifies Shrek Academy’s unusual concentration of Angel Martial Souls and growing influence, he personally travels to Tiantou City rather than dispatching a larger Spirit Hall delegation. 140

Following his encounters with Shrek Academy, Qian Daoliu concludes that Qian Renxue’s long-running infiltration of the Heaven Dou Empire is no longer worthwhile. He recalls her from the empire and redirects her toward preparing for the Angel God Trial. 230

At Shrek, he proposes an exchange of Angel Martial Soul cultivation knowledge, presenting the shared angel affinity as a basis for cooperation. When direct overtures do not settle the matter, he proposes a friendly spar with Yun Ming. 142

Duel with Yun Ming

Qian Daoliu reveals his eight-black, one-red soul ring configuration and activates his Six-Winged Angel Martial Soul. Yun Ming’s Air Prohibition prevents him from taking to the sky, neutralizing his greatest positional advantage. 144

He employs Martial Soul Avatar and Divine Sword, but Yun Ming counters with the Sky-Piercing Divine Spear. Yun Ming breaks the Divine Sword and strikes Qian Daoliu’s shoulder; Qian Daoliu concedes that he has lost. 144

Following the duel, Qian Daoliu learns that Shrek has two rank 99 experts—Yun Ming and Ya Li—and possesses a method of raising soul ring age. He also probes Yun Ming about God Trials and the implications of god-position inheritances. 146

Before his departure, Yun Ming mentions that some Divine Position inheritances require the guardian’s sacrifice and argues that becoming a god independently would be preferable. Qian Daoliu is surprised by Yun Ming’s knowledge but remains committed to fulfilling his duty for Qian Renxue. 146

On returning to Spirit Hall, he warns Golden Crocodile Douluo that provoking Shrek could bring annihilation upon Spirit Hall. Since the academy cannot be directly recruited, he orders that carefully selected Spirit Hall disciples be sent there to study and form a bridge between the factions. 151

Qian Daoliu subsequently sends kind-hearted Spirit Hall children to Shrek Academy’s Spirit City Branch, though not all of them successfully gain admission. 230

Resuming Control of Spirit Hall

After Shrek Academy’s Spirit City Branch humiliates Bibi Dong and the Spirit Hall Golden Generation, Qian Daoliu orders Bibi Dong to personally apologize to the academy. Bibi Dong views the demand as a grave humiliation but cannot ignore the difference in high-level combat power between Spirit Hall and Shrek. 203

He also overrides Bibi Dong’s attempt to obstruct Shrek Academy’s enrollment, instructing Spirit Hall not to interfere. Bibi Dong confronts him in the Worship Hall and declares that he can have the authority he has been exercising. 203

Observation of Shrek’s Freshman Tournament

Qian Daoliu attends Shrek Academy’s freshman tournament as part of the Spirit Hall delegation. He observes Yun Ming, Ya Li, and Lin Feng, recognizing that the academy has far more strength than the forces it has publicly displayed. 207

While watching the competition, he remains unable to understand Lin Feng’s purpose or true capabilities. Tang Wulin’s Blue Silver Emperor Martial Soul also reminds Qian Daoliu of Ah Yin and Tang Hao, making him wary of the implications of Tang Wulin’s connection to Shrek. 212 224

Qian Renxue’s Recall

During the tournament, Qian Daoliu secretly summons Qian Renxue and cancels her Heaven Dou infiltration. He points out that, despite her level-20 innate Soul Power, her years spent pursuing imperial power have left her unable to match Shrek’s leading students in battle. 230

Qian Renxue accepts his decision to return to Spirit Hall and prepare for the Angel God Trial. Qian Daoliu comforts her, acknowledging that Shrek Academy’s rise was an unforeseen factor rather than a failure on her part. 230

After the tournament rewards reveal more of Shrek Academy’s resources, Qian Daoliu briefly questions whether enrolling Qian Renxue would be better than pursuing the inheritance. Journey to Sea God Island and Beyond

Qian Daoliu leaves Spirit City to visit Bo Saixi and investigate whether Shrek Academy has established a branch on Sea God Island. He chooses to travel by fleet rather than fly across the sea, avoiding the risk of encountering the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King while preserving his strength. 276 277

He intimidates the sailors with a small release of Soul Power and casually handles the weaker sea soul beasts encountered along the route. Near Sea God Island, he recognizes an unfamiliar fleet whose advanced ship design resembles Shrek Academy’s technology. 277

While visiting Shrek Academy’s Sea God Island-related expedition activities on the Sun Moon Continent, Qian Daoliu witnesses a two-ring Soul Master using a powerful Life-and-Death Domain. The sight astonishes him because he had previously considered domain use at four or five rings extraordinary. He concludes that Shrek’s young students continue to exceed conventional expectations and appear more formidable than Spirit Hall’s own younger generation. 280 281

He tells Chrysanthemum Douluo, Ghost Douluo, and Golden Crocodile Douluo about the distant continent and Shrek Academy’s warship, acknowledging that Spirit Hall and the continent’s other factions cannot match what he has witnessed. 302

After learning that Qian Renxue has continued cultivating diligently and Bibi Dong remains in seclusion, he enters Douluo Hall to initiate the Angel inheritance.
