Background / History
Qian Xunji conceived the Supreme Elder Hall after Qian Renheng’s resurrection ability brought Qian Wuji back to life. He designated a quiet area behind the Worship Hall’s Consecration Hall for the new structure, intending it to house revived Peerless Douluo ancestors and eventually replace the Consecration Hall as Spirit Hall’s true ultimate foundation. 35
The hall was completed behind the Consecration Hall by the time Qian Wuji returned from assessing the Heaven Dou Empire. It was initially sparsely occupied: Qian Wushuang was its only resident, while Qian Wuji had already left Spirit City. 41
Its purpose changed from an ancestral residence into a formal apex institution after Qian Daoliu proposed that any Spirit Hall soul master reaching rank 99 Peerless Douluo must leave the Worship Hall and enter the Supreme Elder Hall. The change placed the hall above both the Pope Palace and Worship Hall in Spirit Hall’s hierarchy. 146 147
After Qian Lingfeng’s resurrection, he became First Supreme Elder, displacing his daughter Qian Caidie from the first seat due to his higher seniority. 156 Following Qian Renheng’s succession as Pope, the hall’s elders assumed much of the papal administrative burden; they later unanimously approved his Cabinet system to process routine state affairs. 202 207

“Any soul master within Spirit Hall whose cultivation breaks through to the realm of level ninety-nine Peerless Douluo will withdraw from the Worship Hall and directly enter the Supreme Elder Hall.”

Operations
- Supreme Elders serve as Spirit Hall’s hidden deterrent force; their existence and full numbers are generally concealed from outside factions. 10 146
- At one point, the hall contained seven Peerless Douluo: Qian Lingfeng, Qian Caidie, Qian Yanyan, Qian Wushuang, Qian Wuji, Qian Daoliu, and Golden Crocodile Douluo. 172
- Permanent residence is not required. Qian Caidie prefers life in Spirit City, while Qian Wuji habitually wanders outside the hall. 148 191
- During Qian Renheng’s papal succession ceremony, Qian Lingfeng, Qian Caidie, Qian Yanyan, Qian Wushuang, Qian Wuji, and Golden Crocodile Douluo concealed themselves atop Douluo Hall to observe the event. 199
- The hall knew the circumstances behind Qian Xunji’s apparent death and tacitly accepted the arrangement only because his resurrection remained possible. 195
- When Qian Renheng’s papal workload threatened his cultivation, the elders took over his administrative duties; the later Cabinet system was approved by all of them to handle routine governance more efficiently. 201 202 207
