Background / History

Whis first confronts Roger after Roger secretly enters Beerus's dream to spar with the sleeping God of Destruction. He reveals that he detected Roger as soon as he arrived on the planet, despite Roger being invisible, and warns him never to enter Beerus's dreams again. Whis permits Roger to leave after learning that Roger is a prospective Supreme Kai and was too weak to endanger Beerus. 62

At the Grand Priest's instruction, Whis brings Roger to Zeno's Palace. There, the Grand Priest directs Roger to travel among the universes rather than remain in Universe 7. 73 74

Whis later visits Earth after noticing Champa and Vados repeatedly travelling there for its cuisine. He meets Bulma at Roger's home, identifies himself as an Angel, discusses Saiyan history, and samples Earth's food alongside Roger, Champa, and Vados. 82 83
